Guest Reviews
- Robert (10/5): Satisfied my holiday - Comfort easy to get to the city Nothing
- Heena (6/5): Misleading photos and not worth the price! - I liked the location of the property. It has this old coastal bungalow feel. It’s mostly clean and had all the amenities required for our stay. Best was that they placed enough towels for our entire stay at once. Photos are a bit misleading. The property is old (yes! Photos are a bit cleaned up so it seems new) and that was a bit disappointing for us when we reached. Furniture in some areas was too old and wobbly. The backyard was locked and unavailable. So, what they showed and what they actually gave you was different. The garden (even though was locked) wasn’t maintained.
- Varun (4/5): Not up to the mark - The property location was decent, a bit away from the city, but easily accessible via an Uber or even public transport. The rooms were small but manageable, the kitchen was decently equipped, although it had a few essential items missing. The property had aircons and fans in all rooms, which was good, and the backyard was quite large, a good thing to have if you are travelling with kids. Well, there are a number of things which unfortunately were not good.
1. Looks very different and unkept as compared to what has been advertised by the company on booking.com
2. The house is infested with pests and insects. I spotted many cockroaches, ants and small flying insects inside the house. I even spotted a wall lizards inside the house, and honestly it was shocking and disgusting, especially when you are travelling with kids.
3. Much of the house fittings and furniture etc. were old some were really untidy and dusty.
4. The house smelt of dampness and mould, including the closets provided in the bedrooms.
5. The property advertisement claimed to have a dishwasher (including dishwasher tabs supplied), however to my utter shock there wasn't one installed in the house! Ended up washing utensils on our holiday.
6. A steam iron had been provided, but it was cheap quality and in dilapidated condition. I filled water in it to steam iron my clothes, however it started leaking rusty water and soiled my white shirt badly!
7. Overall condition of the property is quite old and under-maintained as compared to what had been advertised.
8. I feel the property has been marketed falsely and I have paid for something which is worth much less.
- Miriam (8/5): Good for long term rental, not really that pet friendly - We stayed here for 3 weeks and found it was very well set up. Great kitchen facilities (proper knives and pots!) and it was good having a laundry. The property managers were very helpful and responsive. Very comfortable place.
It would be a great property if you have a car and don't have a pet. Whilst this place advertises being pet friendly, I would take caution and read the policy first. It states you cannot leave the dog unsupervised at the property (which is absurd and not really pet friendly then), and they can only be in the yard or back patio (which is dangerously hot with no airflow, we had to buy a fan to put in the patio just so our dog at least had some cooling system). You also have to bring your own bedding (even though the listing states there is a dog bed to use). So if you're truly looking for a pet friendly rental I would look elsewhere or talk to the property managers prior to booking.
It also has an old AC system in the main living area which can't overcome the heat during the day in summer season so unfortunately it was unbearable being inside the property from 10-4pm most days. Might be ok in winter season.
- Sally (9/5): Superb -
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb -
- Waylon (9/5): Superb -
- Adam (4/5): Disappointing -
- Ann (10/5): We had a relaxing stay and we were super close to the CBD. - Clean and tidy - lovely home away from home. Maybe some hooks in the bathroom.
- Byron (10/5): We loved it - Our stay was great, a few streets away from the city. We enjoyed the fenced yard, our dog was very happy. Everything we needed was at the tip of our fingers including tea, coffee, all cooking stuff, fast internet We had no complaints
