• Miriane (8/5): Séjour agréable autour du lac. - La maison est propre et très bien équipée. Emplacement idéal pour avoir tout à disposition, épicerie juste à côté. Lac, boutiques et restaurants accessibles à pied. Le bruit du parquet des chambres à l’étage.

Beaucoup de soins pour offrir un séjour agréable. - Spacieux, propre, extrêmement bien pourvu en quipement de cuisine, verrerie et en attention, friandises, café, thé, lait, épices etc… lits très confortables, literie et serviettes multiples abondantes. Bien sûr il s’agit d’un vieil immeuble en bois. Donc, quand il y a des gens à l’étage au-dessus, on entends beaucoup les bruits de pas et d’objets. Pour nous ce fut dérangeant mais le deuxième soir, l’appartement au-dessus était libre et ce fut très agréable.

• Rob (9/5): It was a lovely stay. The place is very well-equipped and clean. We will probably be returning. - The WiFi was extremely slow. We ended up tethering to our phones for better bandwidth. I suppose this might be because the cable/fibre infrastructure in North Hatley is poor? We were not fans of the LED lights in every window. These needed to be unplugged for sleeping. Are these for theft deterrent? They are certainly not required for atmosphere. :-)

• ECB (1/5): Did not access property due to lack of communication from the owner, then he refused to refund us. - The owner did not communicate with us at all before our stay, and so we did not actually access the property. The listing said a door code was necessary, and we tried contacting the owner for two days (day of the booking and next day) via booking.com and by phone, and they did not respond. Therefore we had to book somewhere else. He refused to refund us our money, and said it was our fault because 'the door was open and the keys were on the table'. No reasonable person would show up to a booking in a small village, late at night, and expect to find the door open unless they have been told the door would be open! Terrible experience, ended up ruining 2 days of our long weekend reunion.

The staff were very helpful and courteous as well. Lots of nice little extras as well. And the location and area is beautiful. We will be back.

Please compare the pictures to the pictures in booking. The bathroom was not suitable for use; we didn’t even take a shower because of its condition. This was not what we expected at all and we feel very disappointed. We would like this issue to be addressed and to receive appropriate compensation or a refund Location

• Beauchamp (10/5): - L'emplacement est extraordinaire en plein village à côté de l'épicerie et près du lac. Nous sommes allés au resto, avons fait du vélo sur la piste cyclable et fait du kayak sur le lac Massawipi. Notre hôte a été à l'écoute et disponible.
• Liza (7/5): Nice place and cute town if you’re not too bothered by noise. - Spacious and nice design touches. Sensibly equipped kitchen. Cozy fireplace. Good shower and water pressure. Host is accessible and responsive. The place is dark, not a lot of light comes in through the windows so the ambiance is a bit gloomy. Surprisingly noisy. There is a business of some sort below and a residence above and you can hear everything through the floors and walls. Early morning noise woke me, and I could hear footsteps late night through a stairwell sharing a wall with this space.

• Caren (10/5): Amazing location, amazing host! - Amazing property and amazing location! Very clean and we had everything we needed. The beds we’re very comfortable! The host was so kind and helpful. He made sure we had everything we needed and was always available if we needed to ask him something. He even recommended activities for us to do. Can’t recommend this place more!

• Lily (9/5): An idyllic place in a stunningly pretty town by a lake - Very spacious, with everything you could need for a stay. A Great location with a smashing balcony overlooking the main street ( which was not busy. ) Comfortable chairs to lounge in.. The house had lots of character being a period property and we very much enjoyed staying there. Across the road we swam in the freshwater lake. Overall a Fabulous experience ! Dining wise , right next door is a well stocked general stores .. and 2 mins up the road is a divine “ Chocolatier” café where we had a superb breakfast. Everybody locally plus in the restaurants and bars were super friendly . In summary - a fabulous place to go for a restful weekend.! The only thing I didn’t like was that we couldn’t stay longer!

Everything we needed was available in kitchen and bathroom, great shower!! Property was fine , my only disappointment was I thought I was booking a two bedroom with couch in living room which is what we needed. It was only one bedroom with couch and extra bed in the living room so it wasn’t separated. That was a bit of an issue for our group.

There is a little grocery store right beside the apartment that has fresh bread and wonderful products. The restaurant across the street has great food and amazing pumpkin spice chai latte! I can't think of anything that would have improved our stay - it was awesome!

A helpful, congenial host Would have appreciated reading lights in the living room (there were some in the bedroom, but they weren’t really bright enough to read with), and a summer blanket on the bed (a heavy duvet is too warm in the summer).

• Madeleine (7/5): Good - Amazing location and facilities beyond just the apartment. There was a roomy balcony with plenty of seating. There was a covered outdoor lounge area which we would have used had it not been so cool outside. Very central location. Only draw back was the noise level - we could hear everything upstairs. Consequently we did not sleep well at all.

Full of character with a beautiful working fire place for added charm. Sympathetically renovated with all the modern conveniences. Loved everything about it!

Besides, there is trails at 1 km for hiking (4 seasons) And walking distance from the Massawipi lake and skeeping near that lake, it is a very deep sleep and restfull😊 Nothing

It is spacious with wonderful touches! The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we were so grateful to be able to do laundry! We highly recommend!

• Donna (8/5): Very good - Lots of room in a big old house. Kitchen was helpful to have at our disposal. Washer and dryer handy. Keurig machine was convenient for coffee drinkers. My husband is a tea drinker so tea bags would have been a nice addition. A small bit of cooking oil could have helped. The step in the second bedroom should be addressed. Even a visible caution tape on the floor would be a safer environment.
