Location is awesome being five minutes from the beach. Coolum is our lovely little getaway and this spot just made it more so.. Nothing.

Love the outdoor area, yes as some have said it’s small but we absolutely loved it and it’s perfect for what we needed. Very relaxing and cosy. Personally couldn’t fault anything. We would definitely re book. Lovely host also. Everything was great
• Anne-Marie (7/5): - The spa and the outdoor fireplace were great - which is why we booked it. We didnt realise it was connected to the back of someone's house! The area was quite small and felt a bit cramped. The owners didnt disturb us at all so that was great but the pictures looked like it was a bigger space. There were too many little notes left around telling us what to do and not to do so that was off putting. Like we know not to put a cover on a hot BBQ or not to force coffee pods that don't fit into their coffee machine! It had also been raining for 2 days before we got there and the outdoor cushions were soaking wet as was the firewood so we had to go out and buy our own.

Excellent Thoughtfulness in the layout with the little touches of class with plenty of equipment & Provisions. For Honeymooners (such as ourselves) we felt restricted by excessive rules. For example one of the regulations required us to keep the noise to a minimum at night for the consequence of being kicked out. For a $300 + a night stay , another example of the restrictions was reguarding the toilet hole. It being too small, that this impinged on the guests by requiring them to use minimal toilet paper or to flush many times, for fear of a warning that we would wear the plumbing costs.

• Rick (10/5): Delightful - The Retreat was a delightful place to stay. The entire place was super clean and the bed was comfortable. The Spa was perfect to wind down in. we didn't get to use the fire pit because we ran out of time but it was supplied with plenty of wood. The Bathroom was spotless and the rain shower was terrific with great pressure and quick hot water supply. This place has everything you want in a compact space but it doesn't feel cramped at all. When we couldn't get a Taxi in town after dinner we were able to walk back in about 20 minutes. Communication with the Retreat was quick and efficient. We will definitely stay here again. Honestly nothing

Outdoor heaters for cold winters evenings are the cherry on the top! Perfect stay for a relaxing getaway and close to everything if needed. Highly recommend and we will certainly come back!

Taking suitcases from the front of the property to the rear as concrete pavers mainly with large pebbles about them did not allow easy comfortable bringing or taking of cases.

The beds were very comfortable and movie room was amazing! An outdoor shower was much needed when returning from the beach. It was well-equipped with even laundry and dishwasher detergents!

• Victoria (10/5): Devine, modern and has the best facilities I’ve seen. - Awesome extension, private and ideal for couples, families or small groups. Hot tub and fire place available, with a epic cinema room away from the 2nd room! Did get a bit chilly at night, even with the 2 oil heaters. Backyard doesn’t get any sun in the winter unfortunately 😔 Plenty of blankets left around the house which is a nice touch.
