• Three-Bedroom House

  The main bedroom includes a Queen and a bunk bed, the second room has a Queen bed, the third room consists of a double bed and bunk bed. All bedrooms are carpeted and have freestanding wardrobes in each room to store your personal items. All rooms include either a ceiling fan or air-conditioning. Quilts and pillows are provided on the beds. Pillows, quilts and tea towels are provided. Sheets/bed linen and towels are not included in the price. You can rent them for AU$15 per person, or bring your own. Please note that the maximum occupancy is 10 guests.

• McCann (5/5): Breakaway at Moonta Bay - Casey was great to deal with, prior to our trip, with information about the area.. The description of the property, on various websites are not a true representation.. It was passable, as far as cleanliness goes, but not great.. We had to use a wok to cook our pancakes, as the only other pan in the kitchen, looked as if it was an ancient artefact.. The other pans in the oven, were covered in thick grease and kitchen cupboard doors were all sticky, so, we had to clean, before we could use anything and did so, with all utensils, cups, plates etc as a precaution and very nearly sliced my hand open on a glass that was broken and put back in the cupboard, prior to our stay.. We could not open the back door, to the rear of the property and had to pry it open with a butter knife, as the lock was all rusted and obviously hadn't been opened, in some time.. Some of the mattresses on the beds, were lumpy and mine in particular, felt like I was sleeping on a slab of concrete and on top of that, 2 mattress protectors, had yellow stains on them, so they were removed, prior to putting our own bedding on.. The property indicates it sleeps up to 10 people, but be aware, there is only enough hot water, for 3 people to shower, so others had to have washes with a flannel... The couch in the family area, is badly stained yellow and could do with a clean, there are no rugs on any of the floorboards throughout, as advertised, the exhaust fans look like they haven't been cleaned in years, not one clock on the walls, told the correct time, the lamp in the family area had a blown globe, there is no 10 seater table and chairs out the back and instead, a tiny 4 seater table.. The 'beer and/or bait fridge, is absolutely filthy and has mould growth, the BBQ had dog hair all over the grill plate and the weeds in the garden were awful.. I mentioned I had disabled people coming to stay and Casey disclosed to me about the shower in the bath, so, I appreciated that, but, the photos of the property, compared to the reality, are vastly different..

• Bel (10/5): Relaxing home away from home - Location was great, rooms were set up perfectly for our family, kids loved the board games, beds were very comfy, house was quiet despite the pouring rain and thunderstorms, shower pressure was fantastic and bath for the kids was a great bonus 😊 it was a wet, beach holiday but a great, comfortable place to come back to each night Bedrooms were a tad smaller than expected but it really didn't effect our stay what so ever. We had us and 3 kids and they had more than enough room!

• Belinda (10/5): - Our family spent almost two weeks at breakaway for Xmas. Everything was great, very clean, close to the beach and a great outdoor area as well. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again in the future. Thankyou!

• Vasili & Holly (6/5): Average at best - Location was good I went to make a coffee and found 6 out of 9 coffee cups in cupboard to be extremely dirty with coffee stains and teaspoons in draw to be stained with coffee. Clearly the previous people didn't clean properly after use. Quite dirty under beds and window sills with dust. Communication with the owners was delayed, they were in no rush to return messages and implicated that when they were there 1 week earlier, everything was fine.
• James (6/5): We made the most of a trip spoiled by the above issues - Its location central to plenty of places to see The tv was only worked for one of the 4 days we were there it was so complicated to use. We should have been informed of the high step to the front door which was difficult to manage for people with mobility issues. Tried to contact the owner twice unsuccessfully my calls were not returned.

• Stevecornale (9/5): would definitely stay here again a nice place that has everything you need. - the location was good quite road and close to the beach, short drive to moonta jetty and pub where the meals were good value for money. the only thing was the bed mattresses and the old coil springs apart from that everything else was good.

• Michelle (10/5): A great place to stay - This house is perfect for our needs it's in a good location with an 8 minute walk to the beach. It has wifi a good kitchen and comfortable beds.

• Favie (10/5): Exceptional - It's a home away from home, warm and welcoming home, I loved the decors in blue, the quotes written were lovely to read, and it inspires me. Worth spending my 51st birthday with my family. Bringing along our own linens. Beds must be atleast close to an orthopaedic bed.

House was very clean and tidy and plenty of room for families to relax and enjoy the area. Great communication from the owner around access, facility, inclusions etc. Nothing was an issue. We will definitely go back. Not being able to stay longer!

• Tammara (9/5): Superb - The location was great 2 streets away from my grandmother. It's was clean, everything you need in a kitchen. Close to the beach and shops. Quite neighbourhood. 1 of the mattress need to be upgraded as it was hard and uncomfortable. But other then that it was amazing.

Not alot of communication, no guide sheet in the house with the wifi password etc it also was a long walk to the beach which was not ideal for someone with mobility issues, so we had to drive which defeated the purpose.

• Jye (5/5): Not the best for a large family - Nice location House not for large family's not everyone can shower same day due to running out of hot water Not very kid friendly to many bits and pieces left low for decorations No much of a back yard or area for the kids to play lota of stones and weeds

• Willson (7/5): Affordable, comfortable, weekend getaway. - It was an affordable, comfortable property, with all the essentials we required for a quick few days away. Needs a new kettle (it’s seen better days!). A white leather couch is not a good choice for a holiday home - this one needs a very thorough clean. However, we didn’t use the couch, as we were out enjoying ourselves, so it wasn’t an issue for us. overall the house was kept tidy & it was a good weekend away for us :)
