- Emma (9/5): Stunning property with great wildlife and views - Beautiful property with a great view. Lots of birds to look at, wallabies and even a quoll. The space itself was very comfortable and clean. They even provided breakfast items to cook up which was a lovely touch. We came in winter and the property was able to warm up and stay warm quickly. The outside bath was fun too! My only complaint was there seemed to be a lot of rules, messages and reminders about rules. It got a little tiresome and did hinder us being able to feel completely relaxed in the space for fear we were breaking a rule. The rules and many messages reminding us of the rules. The price was a lot too!

- Craig (9/5): -
- Cooper (9/5): Superb -
- Elaine (10/5): Brilliant - Extremely clean and cosy. Thoughtful host had heating on for us when we arrived in winter. The breakfast hamper was delicious and it was lovely to sample local produce. Very efficient kitchen with induction cooktop. Central location to tour the Island for the weekend. We made use of the fire pit while watching the sunset. A very relaxing break. I highly recommend this property.

Luxurious linin bedding and great bath to soak in each night. For a mother-daughter getaway, we really enjoyed our stay.

- Kristin (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect hideout on Bruny Island!
Everything was very clean and cozy. Kitchen was great and had everything we needed. We especially liked the fireplace in the evening. Due to the weather we didn't use the outdoor bath, but it looked very clean as well. Nothing

- Stephanie (10/5): Relaxing and peaceful. - Blyth Retreat is new and fresh, beautifully decorated while remaining comfortable and welcoming. Everything about Blyth retreat was generous and considered.
- Helena (6/5): Not where it said it was h. - Well appointed Not where it said it was, address showed Simpsons Bay , South Bruny, where we planned to stay, but it turned out to be on Great Bay, North Bruny, which has much less to offer. Location is more important to us than luxuries.
- Kimberly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelvin (7/5): Most enjoyable. Lovely property but let down by small oversights that make guests feel more welcome. - Clean, in excellent condition. Booked as B&B. Fresh muffins. Fresh milk were provided but cereal was out of date. Cooking oil bottles were all empty. Half used margarine was left and not appealing. Unable to locate clothes pegs. Only one hanger provided.
- Kerry (9/5): Superb -
- Alice (10/5): Relaxing and enjoyable - Easy checkin, Amazing view! Fully equiped kitchen, clean and tidy.
The fire pit was a great way to unwind every night.
A great place to stay during our exploration of Bruny. The hosts did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable and accommodated last minute changes.

The accommodation was beautifully appointed, providing a perfect blend of comfort and charm. The serene atmosphere made it an ideal getaway for our family, and it would also be perfect for a romantic escape.
A lovely surprise was the freshly baked bread from the owners, which added a special touch to our experience. It was the perfect start to our mornings!
Overall, our time at Blyth Retreat was fantastic. We left feeling rejuvenated and are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you, Linda, for making our stay so memorable!
- Geoff (8/5): Very good -
- Haylee (10/5): Beautiful property to stay at for a relaxing weekend exploring Bruny Island. - Prefect Location, loved the outdoor Bath and fire pit.
Loved the aesthetic of the interior of the house. Host supplied fresh farm eggs, a beautiful bottle of Tassie Wine and staple ingredients which came in handy. Main bedroom sheets or tho they suit the style of the property they were rough texture and not very comfortable to sleep with.
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sabine (8/5): A beautiful and tranquil spot, comfortable accomodations - The host Linda was very responsive regarding all sorts of inquiries. The house is homey and beautifully presented. Both beds were comfortable and a good selection of basic condiments were provided to make our cooking easy. We enjoyed watching the birds and a view of the water while sitting in the house. The bunch of flowers decorating the dining table had withered and the water inside the vase was murky and a bit smelly. Two of towels were hard and rough. Despite these minor issues, we still enjoyed our stay.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Location, amenities, view. Had everything we needed
- Jonathon (8/5): Very good -
- Melanie (8/5): Very good - Location was excellent. Our hire car struggled with the driveway.

- Kelly (9/5): Superb -
- Judy (10/5): Exceptional - Well-appointed 2 bedroom house in Great Bay. Beds were very comfortable. The host was fabulous, and it was an enjoyable holiday. Highly recommend Blyth Retreat. Booking.com needs to list it as Great Bay not Simpsons Bay as it isnt in Simpsons Bay.
- Karen (9/5): Superb - Beautiful welcoming home, loved the outdoor bath, great attention to detail, welcoming music and flowers are a very thoughtful touch Nothing
- Gurjeet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharlene (10/5): Excellent experience, great location - Great stay! I did a shop at Coles but didn’t need to everything was well stocked. Even saw wallabies in the garden Minor minor point: provide toothpaste for those who chronically forget!
- Clark (10/5): Exceptional - The serenity of the Retreat and the outside bath 1 bathroom with toilet in the bathroom
- Kristen (7/5): Great stay, and location to Bruny island offerings - Food preparation items was good. The ability to wash clothes. Liked the location. The place was clean, tidy and quiet- also loved waking up to the morning birds. Made us laugh with a nice memory of Bruny. Breaky was average, had to cook it.
- Belinda (8/5): Very good -
- Catherine (9/5): Superb -
- Lyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kylie (10/5): Amazing will definitely be back! - Amazing location
Clean tidy relaxing and quiet Wish the bath was inside
- Cassandra (9/5): Superb -
- Donna (10/5): A very peaceful and pretty location for a short stay on Bruny Island. - As promised there were eggs, milk, bread and a selection of packet cereals. There was also a variety of tea and coffee for our use. I thought the eggs were delicious. Personally, I am not a fan of sour dough bread but that is no criticism of the property for leaving that as the breakfast bread. I am sure most people like that type of bread.
- Eyles (10/5): Exceptional - Everything and the staff were so helpful when you came across some troubles
- Josh (9/5): Superb -
- Tong (7/5): Good place - The owner is very nice over the phone. Breakfast include. Breakfast included eggs, bread, oats and milk. The bed is very comfortable. The retreat also include a fireplace. The fireplace is ready to light with the matches . Please check expiration of the groceries, some are expired.Very high slope for cars
- Mitchell (8/5): Very good -
- Kwan (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sianne (8/5): Lovely Place - It was our second time staying here and we love it. Peaceful and comfortable. The fire pit is a great addition to. We didn't have any bathroom amenities (im pretty sure they were provided last time) so had to go and buy them. Whoever does the cleaning doesn't really do it very well. I found hair in the bed and then down the side of the fridge I don't think has ever been cleaned.
Just a small suggestion, the lights on the front steps are flashing which is a little off putting.
- Todd (10/5): Wonderful property and location. - Location, very clean, bath tub and fire pots. Maybe bigger bed needed in master bedroom, that’s all.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexander (10/5): Great location, very clean and great communication from host. Complimentary eggs, bread etc was a very nice touch. Highl - Great location, very clean and great communication from host. Complimentary eggs, bread etc was a very nice touch. Highly recommend.
- Calvin (8/5): Definitely will come again but with a 4WD next time. - New and comfortable. Driveway to the house was steep and gravelly.
- Linda (9/5): Lovely, new and well appointed home that’s perfect for either a short or longer stay. - Blyth Retreat is a lovely, quiet and peaceful haven, centrally located or a relatively close drive to most amenities on Bruny Island. The house is new and surrounded by natural bush land with views to the bay, is very well appointed and decorated as well as being spotlessly clean. Linda is accommodating and responsive to enquiries and even called us after our contactless entry, to check that we’d arrived safely and were happy with everything - nice touch. we would happily stay here again in the future should we return to Bruny.
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zena (10/5): Exceptional - stunning place to relax
- Garry (8/5): overall a lovely place to stay - bright pleasant place screening from neighbors is poor
- Eleonora (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ellen (8/5): Very good - Lovely accommodation, wonderful spot, very tranquil. Outside bath is a treat.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Yuri (10/5): perfect relaxation stay - pretty house, outside bathtub, a lot of care by owner nothing
- Lindy (8/5): Beautiful location - Beautiful location and view. The facilities were great, nice deck at front. Linda was very helpful. Living area, kitchen and bathroom were perfect. Breakfast was good. The bedrooms very small with a double bed in each and beds not very comfortable. Lucky there were 2 bedrooms so we had one bed each.
- Cheryl (8/5): we loved the the views from all windows and the welcoming feel with music playing when we arrived and a complimentary bo - clean and comfortable with a welcoming feel. tv reception interrupted a lot, watched a movie for over an hour and missed the last 20 minutes because of poor picture and sound quality!
- Lynne (9/5): Relaxing and enjoyable - Blythe Retreat suited our needs perfectly. it was in a quiet location and was very well equipped and stylishly presented. the lovely extras like wine, cheese, BEAUTIFUL bread and fresh milk was such a great touch and very much appreciated. the outdoor bath was a treat after a long walk to Cape Queen Elizabeth. it’s not a dislike - just a suggestion. I think two towels per person would be great for a 3 night stay.
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Katherine (9/5): excellent thank you - set up is amazing nothing
- Erin (10/5): Perfect getaway accomodation! beautiful, clean and friendly prompt staff :) - beautiful facilities! comfy beds, stunning views, incredible complimentary breakfast! nothing!

- Birgit (10/5): Excellent! - Everything, there was so much thought put into details and extras- farm milk and brekky products, wine, home made bread, fire wood etc.
The place was well equipped and exceptionally clean.
Absolute gem! Nothing to dislike.
- Jo (8/5): Very good - We really enjoyed our stay at Blyth Retreat - a little slice of heaven on beautiful Bruny Island! Very clean & stylish, the little touches (like condiments in the kitchen) made it feel so homely. The firepit was awesome!!
Thank you Linda, we look forward to coming back again to stay one day!

- Elisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kellie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (9/5): really enjoyable, host very keen to make sure everything was up to expectation - it has everything we needed. the host had thought of what people might need. there were homely touches which made the difference. TV signal on ABC and SBS was patchy, mostly was unwatchable on those channels.
