Guest Reviews
- Donna (6/5): - Close to club, pub, restaurants and shops.
Plenty of parking for boat and JetSki. No air con or fans which was very hot and not able to cool down making it uncomfortable to sleep.
1 pedestal fan is not sufficient unfortunately.
- Nivarn (10/5): -
- Aline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Flinders (6/5): The place is a very basic beach shack. Not near shops or the beach. - The place was clean. They did not advise us when the property was available after cleaning. The access from the carport was hazardous and awkward, it required a step. The stairs from the road were uneven and steep. The gate to the washing line needs repairing. The gardens needed major maintenance, tall weeds made them unusable. The view was obscured by excessive plant growth and bushy trees. The single beds were uncomfortable. We expected an original building of an asbestos beach shack, but it was worn and not maintained. Sticky doors and windows, faulty light bulbs. The decor was also original, it requires updating. There are no air-con, heating, or ceiling fans. The TV was poor and small. Insufficient dining room or lounge chairs for 6 people. The crockery was all mismatched odds from the op shop.
- Isabel (9/5): Superb -
- Lewis (5/5): Loved Straddie , accomodation was average , with a few hiccups . Misleading formation on Barbarque . - Location was good.
House as average The Wood barbarque listed was broken & could not be used . Very disappointed this was not told to us as we packed wood in the car .
The gas Barbarque ( we were told by the cleaner , we could use ) WAS ABSOLUTELY FILFTHY , and we would not use .
There was a broken white water pipe in the back yard covered by grass , Not Visible , which I stood on and cut my foot badly .
Pity there was No Booster for the Television Antenna we kept getting No Service !
- Iain (8/5): Cute clean old house in a fantastic location - Location and view were fantastic A bed upgrade would be nice mattresses were fairly worn
- Anna (7/5): A wonderful beach shack which reminded me on my childhood beach holidays. - A great property for our little family. A great size.
Backyard was perfect for the kids to play & watch lots of nature go by. A bit grimy in areas (blinds) but otherwise very clean and comfortable. When it wasn’t raining it was very hot.
My only request for next time would be a pedestal fan in each room to help the place cool & dry down.
- Anonymous (8/5): Peaceful, tranquil and unrushed….just as we wanted - I love the original beach house feel. Very welcoming. Awesome to have all of the beautiful nature surrounding you. We felt very relaxed. The only negative would be that there is not a full length (or even smaller) mirror anywhere.
- Sukwianomb (7/5): It was pleasant overall for a short stay - Quiet location and lovely view of the ocean Mirrors in the house were not installed to be user friendly and the property wasn’t that secure
- Eric (5/5): Below average - Situated in a quiet area. It has a good ocean view but the view was restricted with the trees & bushes if they could trim down a bit it would be fabulous view. Cleanliness dead bugs in the windows and cockroach the behind the bed. No A/C, BBQ not functional no plate or grilled. Bed uncomfortable and itchy couch cover chair has damage and holes. Ceiling kind of falling.
- Danny (8/5): Relaxing and peaceful house and location. Great place to go to wind down for a few days. - View of the ocean. Cool breeze. Surrounded by trees and birdsong. Gentle noise of the waves at the beach. No functional bbq. Some elements in the oven no longer work, it is only good for warming food and requires repair or replacement. For my family being able to cook at the accommodation is an essential part of a relaxing short holiday.
- Scott (8/5): Very good -
- Marina (8/5): Very good - The coconut tree, the shower, the bed, the little mats beside the bed
- Marcus (4/5): Wouldn't rush to stay again - The location is quite good though you have to walk through woods to get to Cylinder Beach, so we ended up driving to the beach, which defeated the object of paying a premium for being 'near' it. It was clean and has a nice view of the sea. The house was very stuffy on arrival. It's very dated decor with bottom end appliances and mixed and worn 70s plates and cutlery. It wouldn't have been so hard to buy cheap modern utensils at KMart. The bedding wasn't comfortable, with no fitted sheets, so they kept coming off. No wifi was pretty annoying, though we knew that before booking. The hot water tank soon ran out so we were rushing our showers.
- Alan (10/5): Perfectly matched our needs for a family break with lots of resources to help us feel at home. -
- Clementine (7/5): Good -
