Guest Reviews
- Sharyn (5/5): Good location for our extended family trip. Price matched the property. - Location Property photos were dated. Yard was not what we expected - a bit unkempt. Some appliances didn’t work as expected. Toaster and microwave. Maybe a couple of tea towels would have been good.
- Christopher (10/5): Beautiful will be back for sure - Large warm and cosy Spiderwebs and dust but that’s a farm house
- Jodie (8/5): -
- Lumin (10/5): -
- Piper (10/5): Great place to hang out with our boys and dogs. - It suited our situation of having 4 teenage boys and two dogs. There was plenty of room, the pool was used constantly, the dogs ran around the yard. It was functional and allowed us to settle in quickly. The dining table was big enough for a game of Axis and Allies over three days. They could play pool, read a book, run with the dogs and just be kids.
- Rajkumar (7/5): Enjoyed the stay - Location and value for money They could upgrade the bbq machine and the pool could be maintained better
- Kellie (8/5): Great stay, has everything you need, large pool but was very cold, big enough to comfortably accomodate our group, only - Large house and property, perfect for groups, multiple families.
Kids loved the pool. We had to vacuum all of the floors
- Kerrie (7/5): -
- Casey (10/5): Was a great weekend - Lots of space and quiet area Nothing
- Maria (10/5): nice spacious house, loved the pool table and the farm like experience, loved the cows and rabbits. -
- Salima (10/5): Loved it - The location of the property was really good it was close to shops, take away, fuel station it was close to everything.
We loved the house My kids wanted to stay longer and they want us to book the house again next time.
Thank you for the awesome experience. I would have love to have visitors over for a BBQ and play day
- peter (10/5): - Lovely rural setting
- Beverley (10/5): A serene retreat with easy access to soccer fields at Casey Fields & 10 minutes from large shopping. - Peaceful, genuine 5 bedroom house, fully equipped - including air fryer, automatic coffee machine (with beans), large refrigerator. Lots of little extras - cling wrap, dishwasher pods, ziplock bags, warm blankets etc. Teenage boys loved the pool table. Beds were a little hard.
- Nicola (10/5): HIGHLY recommend this beautiful farmhouse - Absolutely stunning…
10/10
Kids were in love & didn’t want to leave N/A
- Miroslav (10/5): Absolutely one of the best places I’ve stayed in - Absolutely amazing place. Quite and big property. Hosts were amazing, late check out and early check in.
I will definitely want to be back.
- Margie (9/5): Excellent for what we needed - No breakfast
- Sandra (9/5): -
- Toni (10/5): - Absolutely loved how big it was on the inside definitely catered to all of my family. There was nothing to not like about this property.
- Mireka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (9/5): Superb -
- Reece (10/5): Exceptional - I love the place, country feel but close to centre with a nice front which you can see cows in the morning with the sunrise behind and the sounds of nature with a nice pool lovely huge play area , the house is nicely set out, the spa was nice and the heating is superb.
I will be back and have recommended to friends it's that great a place.
Thank you
- Chloe (8/5): Very good -
- Lauren (10/5): Perfect for a large family - I loved that it was big enough for all of us. There were plenty of rooms for everyone. The kids loved the billiard table and played it for hours each day. I wish we could have stayed longer. Some beds are too soft but hubby and I found a firmer one that was ok for us (we both have bad backs)
- Rachel (9/5): Superb -
- Tracy (6/5): Disappointing… unclean & unmaintained - Location excellent, good kitchen set up with plenty of extras (paper towel, condiments, laundry detergent), toiletries provided in bathrooms, pool itself was clean, entertainment very good (billiard table, massive TV, games and puzzles) Inside: Very unclean. Damaged or missing flyscreens, holes in the walls, dirty window panes, small shards of glass on the floor, mould and hair in bathrooms, leaking shower, dangerous broken powerpoint in kitchen, cobwebs EVERYWHERE, billiard cues missing ends (these were replaced upon request), beds exceptionally uncomfortable (except for one), and pillows like sandbags, ants but no bug spray, seating for only 4 people in lounge (so impossible for everyone to watch a movie together without most people sitting on the floor)
Outside:
Dirty BBQ, too small for a full house.
Gardens/grounds overgrown and uncared for.
Dangerous debris (metal poles, wooden planks with exposed nails) lying around.
Poolside has only 2 filthy sun beds and has a huge overgrown shrub taking up much of the space limiting access to the pool.
Grassy areas dry and unmaintained, unlike the photos provided.
Many of the complaints we made were blamed on previous occupants however it seemed like no-one had been there for weeks.
Overall, we were very disappointed. The house was unsuitable for our adult family group which was only 7-8 people so we can’t imagine how it was supposed to accommodate 11 - even if some were children. It had clearly not been cleaned or maintained, which impacted the stay considerably as everyone felt uncomfortable.
We would not return again.
- Karen (9/5): Central and Rural piece of paradise - Was a fantastic base for us with space to have all the family around for dinner. Centrally located to everywhere we needed to go. Thanks for a fabulous space!! Just missing a cheese grater and a few forks. Bbq could have been bigger if feeding family if all the bed spaces were used but otherwise it was really great. Everything that we needed and more.......
- Lee-anne (10/5): Wonderful, great getaway - Loved it Fresh air the whole environment
- Deepak (9/5): Hidden gem close to all the sightseeings in mornington peninsula. The check in process was smooth, plenty of car parking - Big property, calm in night and many facilities like swimming pool, billiards Some areas are a bit outdated
- Josh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julia (9/5): Relaxing - easy - lots of space and comfort . Brilliant for kids and family - Felt like a country get away
So peaceful
But so close to freeway .
Very homely - great for kids
- Jodie (9/5): Superb -
- Laraine (9/5): Easy to book. Stressfree check-in. Great/Fast communication with the owners. Would definitely stay here again. A+++ - Had a feeling of being remote without actually being far from where we needed to be. N/A
- Punawai (10/5): Quiet cosy cottage, located close to everything you could need. Amazing scenery and beautiful home. - Beautiful, homely feel. Close to the venue we travelled to everyday.
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Kathy (9/5): peaceful and private - Great location close to shops and the acces to venue to celibrate family 16th birthay. Comfort accommodation in a secluded location with perfect privatacy. Comfortable beds, kithcen internet and TV. beautifully presented old but comfortable, private with ample parking.
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Ryan (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yifan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracie (10/5): Quiet serenity was amazing with everything accessible. Excellent stay for families - We loved that the property suited our large family getaway to catch up with our Melbourne family .
Relaxing atmosphere feeling like you are in the country but yet everything is accessible close by .
Kids loved the pool and found a lot of things to entertain themselves and loved the cows coming up for a pat everyday .
Would highly recommend and will definitely be back . There wasn’t a thing about this property that we didn’t like or enjoy as a family it was amazing
- Kerrilyn (10/5): Exceptional - Family orientated. I had 3 grandchildren with me and it was excellent. Cubby house, trampoline, pool. Toys, books pool table and plenty of room inside and out. Mice in the house and ran around us. Ate through my packets of food at night and had to throw them all out
- Jodie (10/5): Totally met and exceeded our requirements. -
- Jill (8/5): Very good - Was a great place for the family to spread out and spend time together. The kids loved the pool. We played snooker but the table had a big tear in it so it was interesting! The dining table was great for the whole family to gather round and play board games. The property could do with a little TLC - ie weeding and mowing the garden and fixing the pool table but it was a fun weekend with family
- Colin (10/5): Great for a Group stay risked away but close to everything - Great location comfortable inside and out nice pool and large tv. Just as described in the advertisement and perfect for our needs Nothing
- Rosemary (6/5): Pleasant - The pool & outside sitting area.
Nice looking out onto farmland
- Jennifer (6/5): Good, but not Great. - I liked the bunnies in the front yard. The house is spacious and has a good backyard for children. The owner was easy to communicate with and seems nice. The beds were hard and the bathroom had a lot of mold on the shower floor. There was no hair-dryer as advertised. The TV in the dining area does not work.
- Mindy (8/5): We will be back again - It was great there was so much space it did not feel like you were on the outskirts of Melbourne. FYI the dishwasher was not working just letting you know for future guests.. I hand washed as was not sure how to fix it…
& TV in the dining area & bedroom was temperamental the main TV where pool table worked well though..
Kids really enjoyed the facilities pool, trampoline etc
- Rea (10/5): Great location away from the hustle and bustle, lovely cosy countryside feel. - Everything
- Hollie (9/5): Superb - Comfy beds, plenty of appliances, crockery, bedding towels, things to do, the pool!
- Eugene (9/5): We had a lovely stay and will be back again Thanks :) - The house was plenty big enough for our family, with lots to do for the kids. The heating worked well and the house had everything we needed. Kids loved the pool table.
- Patu (10/5): A home away from home - We loved everything about the cottage. We come from a country town and it just felt like we never left home Besides the weather. Nothing at all
- Catherine (8/5): Very good - Spacious and well stocked for a family getaway. Had a minor hiccup with the electricity but understand the owner is already making upgrades.
- Caterson (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the quiet location and warm old farm house charm of the house. Toys galore for the kids and room to run around
- Belinda (5/5): Passable -
- Mitchell (5/5): Not the best for the price - Family room was nice to relax and watch tv whilst kids played with the toys supplied & we liked watching the cow and calf Bathrooms made us feel icky, which was disappointing as when you are spending a few days away at a cottage you kinda expect to be able to either have a long hot bath or shower but the mouldy showers were off putting, the bathroom are definitely needing a renovation, the whole house wasn't very clean at, cobwebs everywhere dirty windows, dirty walls, yards weren't maintained very well at all, didn't feel really safe considering it's snake season. Also 3 barking dogs next door which literally barked all night long (I know this is not the hosts fault but extremely disappointed as both myself and my partner only managed very little sleep)
- Wendy (7/5): Responsive and accommodating host - We had the whole house to ourselves with plenty of activities I.e. pool table, swimming pool, cricket set, toys and trampoline for kids.
Lily was also very responsive and accommodating to our needs. We had to wash any dishes before we used them because they weren't cleaned properly. The coffee pot was mouldy so we cleaned that out. There were a lot of cobwebs in the corners and ceiling. We also felt a little uncomfortable with the cameras in the front and back of the house. We understood it's for security but still uncomfortable.
- Canavan (10/5): Exceptional - Third stay at Willunga Cottage. Love the peaceful location and as it was hot on the Saturday I enjoyed a swim in the pool.
- Pelenaise (7/5): Good -
- Canavan (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet location Nil
- Kerrin (8/5): Perfect farm getaway. we met the owners as they live on the next property behind, they were respectful of our space but - The property is big enough that you can move around go for a walk in the morning. The facilities have everything you need for an enjoyable getaway. The pool was not properly maintained and had a range of sub-surface and surface bugs filling most of the pool and we weren’t comfortable using it. Test water and Bunnings and $80 chemicals will make a huge difference all summer long. Also big ant problem in kitchen, could be easy fix with gel baits.
- Canavan (10/5): Great location in a quiet rural area. - Great location. Loved the Christmas tree. Beautiful! There was nothing to dislike. I had a great stay.
- Himani (7/5): Good - Environment was beautiful. Kitchen facilities were good. Views from the house beautiful. Ample room in cupboards. The arm chair was comfortable. The living rooms spacious. Plenty of activities for kids. We loved watching the cows , birds and ducks. Beds were uncomfortable and small. The pillows were too thin and uncomfortable.
The oven need more trays. It was hard to find the on button of the dish washer, we washed dishes by hand, the only found it.
Parking area got every muddy in the rain.
- Bhardwaj (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place for a getaway with family. Plenty of stuff to do for the kids. Wished we could use the pool but the weather was a bit too cold.
