- Katherine (10/5): We love coming here every year. Can’t wait to be back next summer. -
- Tania (5/5): For the cost per night, I was expecting a slightly more comfortable stay - The surroundings were beautiful, quiet and relaxing. The furniture and other amenities were very outdated and basic.
- Shifrah (5/5): Beautiful remote location but cottage is overpriced and provisions are extremely basic. - Beautiful location, quiet and remote with lots of wildlife. Cottage is fine but basic. But the provisions and facilities were not generous. Plunger present but no coffee supplied. One match left in box when both stove lighters were dead. Not enough toilet paper. No body wash in shower. Over-priced for what it is.
- Jowita (5/5): bardzo na uboczy , nie czulismy sie bezpiecznie - kangury the price was very high for this object. It should not cost more than $ 100. Backpackers level. Access on grass over 300 m. It was dry but in the rain it would be more difficult. No toaster, electric kettle, no AIR CONDITIONING! Heating fireplace but it did not work. On warm days it gets very hot and it is hard to bear we had one hot day. No free wifi. TV 3 channels small screen. Everything on the camping standard for only $ 170 very expensive for this! We were disapointed.
- Rick (5/5): Passable -
- I (8/5): A Bushland Escape - We chose the premises mainly for its location. Keep in mind that the premises are a holiday house/shack and not a hotel/motel. The premises truly are a "retreat" or what could be called an "escape" - they are on a bushland property at a semi-remote site some 20 minutes drive from the town of Portland in Victoria which is the nearest source for shopping and supplies. One attraction is that the premises are a small acreage "farm" which has over 40 resident kangaroos - but which are very timid and wary of any close contact. One needs to keep in mind that staying there means a need for economical thinking - the holiday house is supplied by bottled gas and it's electricity is from solar panels and a 5 day storage battery. The house is suitable for only a single person or a couple - one double bed, small refrigerator and small TV.
- Patrick (8/5): It had everything we required! Was a lovely place to come back to after a day of fishing - So clean! Very homely and huge undercover deck. The wildlife and the peace and quiet of being so isolated, yet still so close to everything The couch, it wasn't comfortable to sit on let alone sleep on.
The water pressure (being off grid its kind of understandable I guess)
The property entrance was tricky with a 6 metre boat, not sure how it would be if wet
- Stephanie (8/5): Very good -
- Brian (8/5): Basic accommodation but unique location/experience - Very secluded out in the bushland.
Highlight watching a koala feeding on the gum tree in front of the verandah Drive into the property (but price to pay for location)
- Dianne (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (7/5): Good -
- Robyn (6/5): Pleasant - It was a very peaceful and quiet location. Helen was a great host, very friendly and informative about local sights and activities.
- Joy (10/5): It was exactly what we wanted. - A homely cottage in a quiet and secluded rural location with lots of wallabies, kangaroos and birds. A large versatile verandah. Wonderful starry night sky. Close to magnificent beaches, lighthouse and so much of interest in Portland. We intend to return soon. Television reception was a bit erratic.
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Jayden (7/5): relaxing and quiet - The quiet location The crest you drive over when you arrive or leave the property. It was a little bit unsettling
- George (7/5): Good -
- Samantha (8/5): Very good -
- Victoria (8/5): Very good -
