- Edoardo (2/5): Very poor - We arrived at the time we communicated to the owner. When we were outside the house, i texted the host telling we were waiting for him. I got no answer. I tried calling him, no answer. I waited 15 minutes more and i called him again, no answer. I waited other 15 minutes, nothing happens. I, therefore, i text him telling we would be going for dinner, since we could not checkin. 1 hour and a half later, i received a message with pictures of the place where the keys were kept (outside the house).
After dinner we head for the house and we found it in a miserable condition. It was all dirty and covered in past guests hairs. The bed sheet were even stained. I texted the owner (which btw does not speaks english and cannot use a transaltor (?)) with the pictures of the bed and he replays me that next morning (NEXT MORNING!) he would have send someone changing the sheets. Moreover, he commented the fact that these were “mere details”.
Next morning the problems got even worse. With the light of the day we saw the real condition of the house (which you can admire from the pictures) and the fact that one of the towels was stained in something red. The owner texts me telling me to give the cleaning lady 198$ for my stay. I did not have that amount in cash (first if all since i am european). I tell him to process that payment through booking and he tells me he cannot, despite on the booking page it was written that 50% of the value of the stay would have been kept after the booking (which, btw did not occur). He then tells me to make him a bank transfer in dollar, which i cannot do since i am european, but i managed to arrange from my company in Italy (that can make payments in dollars). I advise the host that international money transfers take days before being elaborated. In the meanwhile i managed to find an argentinian guy (with i work with) who could make the transfer instantly and in pesos.
