- Hannah (4/5): Beautiful house that needs better cleaning, upkeep and maintenance. - Full disclosure we arrived and then left to stay elsewhere. The house is objectively beautiful, but needs much better maintenance and upkeep. The AC cut out in the living room when we arrived and maintenance had to come. The couch was stained and literally felt dirty even when they came back to clean things again and tried to tell me it was clean, it still was not. If you are going to rent a property you have to deep clean furniture once in a a while. The sheets smelled so strongly of detergent that I doubt my mom would have been able to sleep on them, the place just generally felt like the cleaning lacked detail and care. In addition the stairs trying to get to the house should be made known to people booking. They could be a genuine hazard. We took the loss and didn’t try to get our money back nor were we offered any refund for the issues with the house. I’m sorry to the host and owner but this was unfortunately an incredibly disappointing experience and waste of money.
