Guest Reviews
- Olivia (6/5): - Very central location, nice little house and outdoor area. Had all the practicalities and comfortable bed. The house was nice but very basic. Some lamps, mirrors and just touches to make the house more cosy and enjoyable to stay in would go a long way!
- Nicholas (8/5): Great home in a great location - Good location. Good facilities. The host was very helpful and responsive.
- Leasa (9/5): A lovely home in a terrific location to explore the Margaret River region! - Handy, secure location for walking into Marg River shops & cafes
Clean & well-equipped kitchen for cooking & BBQing
Appreciated the washing machine & clothesline after each day on the Cape-to-Cape walk
Also having the second toilet was very handy & really enjoyed the inside dining & the deck areas
Sarah was a lovely host & communicated very well. Nothing we didn't like - the only things we would change is perhaps having a dishwasher & a lounge setting that seats 4-6 without having to move armchairs around (didn't want to scratch the floors)!

- Phil (9/5): Large house located in town, next to the shopping center and forest trails. - The property was very spacious for the two of us and located in the main part of Margaret River. There was a full kitchen for preparing meals and a large balcony out the back for relaxing. Walking trails in the forest where close by as well as the shopping precinct. All good.

Walking distance to everything would definitely stay again.

Great rear yard/deck and perfectly located in town a short walking distance from restaurants, cafes, retail shops, supermarkets. Ideally situated to ride out to the MTB trails with no need to drive. It was all good.

- Janie (7/5): It was still a very convenient and lovely house to stay at - Location
Decor Glasses weren’t cleaned properly- still had lipstick over them but otherwise everything else was clean and tidy
The king bed wasn’t very comfortable
Lots of outdoor noise from barking dogs, noisy neighbours at night time
- Kym (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janet (10/5): Overall great stay, highly recommended. - Excellent location, walking distance to main shops and cafes. Great facilities, clean and comfortable. Lovely verandah, table tennis was fun and extra toilet was handy, Property is quite dark
- Kathryne (9/5): Highly recommend! - A lovely, well-presented house with everything you could need for your stay. Very child-friendly. An enclosed garden with some thoughtful entertainment options and a BBQ was great for evenings outdoors.
The short walk to town and to the river walk were a fantastic resource. The fantastic central location meant a bit of traffic and noise from town, more so on the Saturday night than on others. This was mitigated by closing the windows, but might be a little tricky on a hotter day. A mild inconvenience on an otherwise fantastic stay.
- Xavier (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, neat, nostalgic feel to it with modern touches. Plenty of room inside & outside to be in, helpful binder with suggestions and incredibly close to everything.
- Aaliyah (10/5): Exceptional - Location was perfect, near all the shops/ food places! Easy to access property and really appreciated the book with all the recommendations 🤗

- Kevin (7/5): Good - Very convenient location, walking distance to main street, shops, etc. Facilities could do with an update and installation of a dishwasher.
- Debbie (9/5): A great stay in a very spacious property - Extremely spacious
Comfy beds
Very well equipped
Bathroom very nice with great flowing water and a separate toilet as well as 1 in bathroom
Terrace area very big, nice to have ping pong table.
Secure garden if you had kids
Great location Quite a dark property as floors are dark wood (lovely) but all furniture dark too and hallway wallpaper quite dark, could do with brightening up.
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional - large space, close to amenities, thoughtful local information provided
- Janette (9/5): Superb - The location was very central in Margaret River and the house was very well equipped and very clean.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- Emma (9/5): Had a great weekend thank you - Location and perfect for our group of friends for the weekend. Had everything we needed and backyard verandah was great. Door in the kitchen was annoying to open as had to turn the knob inside and not just the handle
- Brian (8/5): Comfy house for a stay at Margaret River. Handy to main street, off street parking available. - Fantastic location, so handy to the main street and shops. Didn't receive email advising lock box access code and had to phone the host (not her fault) who was very obliging.
- Tanay (10/5): Love it - Great host , lovely home complete with everything you need to enjoy your time. Close to shops , just perfect
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional -

- Sujata (9/5): We had a lovely stay at Valley House, it had everything we needed and was a great base . - The location was excellent , walking distance to shops and walking trails alone the river. It was well equipped and small provisions for cooking were appreciated. A little noisy being on a local main road but not too troublesome given the closeness to everything else!
- Janelle (9/5): We loved the house and would stay there again. - Location was perfect, could walk to town for all our meals. Easy to find. House was spacious and there was 3 bedrooms, large lounge room and we spent a lot of time on the deck. There were washing facilities and all other necessities available for a 4 day stay. Shower was great. The hot water ran out but we were able to find the gas bottles and turn on the 2nd bottle to finish our showers. Maybe a little bit more information in the information manual regarding things like that.
- Darrell (9/5): Superb - Fuss free self check in with clear instructions. Short walking distance to the main marg river strip. Well equipped kitchen.
- Arron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (9/5): Overall excellent, would recommend. - The Valley House is lovely, the pictures don't really do it justice. It's got a great outdoor space with a BBQ. The kitchen was well stocked with implements for cooking at home. Lovely new bathroom. And a great location. A 30 second walk to town.
- Jarred (10/5): 10/10 loved. Very comfortable and accommodating - Location and styling/decoration Nothing
- Noel (8/5): The property had everything we needed and was accessible to the main town centre; stay here again - Central location and house very well set up with anything needed for a comfortable stay. The first night was a Sunday and music was playing full bore. But that was the offset to being central and the rest of our stay was quieter
- Therese (7/5): Good -
- Katy (9/5): Margaret River is a great location, and the area is great to explore. - The location was excellent! It's very near the centre of Margaret River, and very easy to walk all around the town, and on the many lovely trails in the countryside and along the river. We were so impressed with the variety of really good eateries nearby, so we didn't need the kitchen much - although we did miss a dishwasher! I was impressed with the quality of the house and the furniture, although the decor was mixed, everything was solid, and clean (just a bit of dust on the floor and bedside tables). We appreciated the great shower, having 2 toilets, the laundry, comfortable beds, and especially the table tennis. Also having a private garden, deck, and the clothes line. The lounge could have more comfortable seating, and at some point the kitchen could be modernised, though it's an interesting older style - we did like nice extras, like good quality toiletries and laundry detergents. Only what I've mentioned above, it was good value though.
- Neale (8/5): We had a very comfortable stay in a beautiful house. - Location is excellent - very close to main shopping area.
- Raelene (9/5): Great location in Margaret River - Fantastic location
Very clean
Easy to access
All basic facilities & amenities provided Slats on outdoor couches sagging so difficult for older guest to get up from
- Greg (10/5): Lovely little home away from home - Nice big house, with a lovely enclosed deck and garden, perfect for eating alfresco.
Bed was comfy and kitchen well stocked, it even had some basic ingredients.
A parking space outside was idea and only a short walk from Coles and the high street
- Jack (10/5): Amazing location and spacious property - Great location, beautiful and spacious house. All amenities needed for a relaxing stay in Margaret River
- Eileen (10/5): Fantastic stay in Valley house. Really enjoyed our stay. - Valley house is a beautiful, spacious, very clean house. It is well located right in the town of Margaret River. Lots of extras like a washing nachine, clothes line, beautiful deck for relaxing and a ping pong table. Nothing!
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mcmillan (10/5): Exceptional - So clean and very comfortable everything available fantastic shower Nothing
- Sonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (10/5): Quality and spacious home close to the center of Margaret River town. - Great spacious living area and outdoor entertaining. Kids loved the TV and ping pong table. House is tastefully renovated and has quality items. Host was amazing and responsive and accomodated our early checkin and late checkout. The only minor issue was the traffic noise that started quite early in the morning. Bring some ear plugs if you aren't an early riser.
- Giles (8/5): Comfortable, great location, with lots of space. - This is a very spacious, comfortable house that is close to the shopping area of Margaret River and a very easy walk. There is a great range of shops, restaurants and bars in town so lots to see and do. The beach is just 10 minutes drive to a world class sandy beach with crystal clear waters. The days were warm and it was wonderful sitting in the shaded deck area on the outdoor lounge. My bed was a little too hard for my liking. Being so close to town there is an understandable level of noise particularly on the big weekends. The trade off is the easy walk and proximity.
- Gillian (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay at valley house . - The location was perfect . Right in town so easy to walk to shops , cafes etc . Easy to drive to other places in the Margaret river locale . The house had everything you needed to enjoy a self catering experience. The deck outside was great for socialising. The house is situated on a main road so traffic noise at night can be disturbing .
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Romane (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect for a week holiday, everything you need just next door and the house is very nice and comfy
- Keren (10/5): Loved the funky 70’s decor and wooden floors, will stay again. - The property is close to town in an extremely convenient location. There was nothing we didn’t like.
- Sarah (9/5): Cosy vintage charm - The bedrooms and bathroom were spacious, clean and comfortable with everything you need. The outdoor area was a lovely little sun trap and table tennis was an added bonus. Being so close to town meant shops and amenities were within walking distance. Being an older property it does get cold during the night, but the owner has provided plenty of heaters and blankets to ensure you stay warm. The proximity to the District Club and tavern means it can be noisy in the evenings but it usually quietened down by 10-11pm
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Location
- Megha (10/5): Perfect and cosy stay - The property was easy accessible, check in was easy, and well described.
Clean and all facilities available. Not complaining but the creaky sounds from roof and weather sounds from windows were disturbing.
- Skye (10/5): Great location. Really enjoyed our stay. - Great location. Loved the shower head! Only thing I can think of to say is the remote switching to joystick.
- Sonia (9/5): Great weekend away, we love staying here when in Margs. Sarah is a fantastic host. - Great place to stay and explore all the main attractions both locally and around. Valley House offers everything you need from staying in or going out, including walking distance to the strip.

- Ellen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (9/5): Superb property close to all amenities in a quiet location. - very well presented property close to all amenities. spacious interior with 3 good sized bedrooms and plenty of living space. great selection of appliance all relatively new and a large outdoor area complemented the interior.
