Guest Reviews
Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, consigliato! Il letto, un po' piccolino per due
- Aurora (10/5): -
- silvia (10/5): - L’arrendo, é calorosa
Ti fa sentire a casa
Posizione ottima
- enrico (9/5): -
- Oleksii (9/5): - Location: in the very center, a few minutes from the Municipio Square, about 10 minutes walk from the opera house. If you come for a few days to explore the city - the location is very convenient in the historical district. Keep in mind that the apartment is located on a very crowded and bustling street of the Spanish Quarter. If you want to immerse yourself in the color of Naples, this is the place where it is easy to do it. The area itself seemed quite safe to us despite the crowding. There are many establishments near the apartment that offer street food, from decent pizzas to fried squid. The apartment offered breakfast - coffee and croissants in the cafe opposite - DE DEO, by the way, are very tasty, and the coffee turned out to be the tastiest during our entire trip. Therefore, even on an excursion just in this area, I recommend visiting.
The accommodation itself corresponds to the declared one and although very small, it has everything you need (from dishes to hygiene products), it is located on the first floor (ground floor) of the house - the entrance is from the yard, which is why there are small problems with natural lighting. We were satisfied with the cleanliness of the premises, the settlement itself was independent and quite easy. (we were given clear instructions). Communication with the owner was easy and pleasant.
- Kristine (4/5): - God placering, nemt at checke in, god kommunikation.
- Safa Mert (8/5): - The host was very kind and attentive, and everything in the room was well thought out. The room had a great location, and we really enjoyed the breakfast as well. There was a bit of humidity in the room, which could feel slightly uncomfortable occasionally.
- Garcia (10/5): -
- Ruth (7/5): Small but good for a night - Very small room so ideal for one night not anymore.
Host was communicative :) Bit loud and small
- Shannon-paige (1/5): AVOID AT ALL COSTS - you will end up with health issues due to significant damp/mould, host is dismissive, it’s dirt - nothing - the best part was leaving the place. we had to book another hotel due to it’s uninhabitability. This was honestly THE worst experience we’ve had with a property on Booking.com.
First of all, the address listed is incorrect, which made it difficult and stressful to find the place. So we paid for a taxi to the wrong destination.
When we finally arrived, we were shocked by the condition of the property.
The entire place reeks of damp, and there is visible mould throughout—walls, ceilings, even the bathroom. Please see pictures - it’s a shame we can’t add more. They are aware of this issue since there are signs to open windows within the property but clearly do not care about the health and safety of their guests.
It felt incredibly unhygienic and unsafe, especially since the bed sheets were actually wet from the moisture. To make things worse, the air conditioning doesn’t work properly and the street outside is filthy, with rotting food and even human faeces scattered around.
The “breakfast” included is laughable - just a single croissant with a shot of expresso which felt like an insult considering the state of the property. The host speaks poor English, which made communication nearly impossible, and they were completely unhelpful and dismissive when we raised serious concerns about the damp and cleanliness. We were refused a full refund despite the horrific conditions we stayed in (we were booked to stay for 3 nights but only stayed 1 night and had to book elsewhere due to the conditions).
The property was loud late into the night, with music from the streets, loud barking dogs right outside the front door and noise from neighbours, making it impossible to sleep.
Overall, the place felt incredibly unsafe, dirty, and misrepresented online. Do yourself a favour and stay far away from this listing, I would not even let my dog stay here.
- Virginijus (6/5): Pleasant -
- Katerina (3/5): Poor - The location is very close to the main attractions. The bathroom door was broken and everytime we were using it the other person had to leave the room not to hear the noises. The breakfast that we had paid for was just a croissant and an espresso. For cappuccino you had to pay extra.
- Carolina (9/5): This apartment is absolutely perfect for a couple’s stay in Naples! Cozy, well-equipped, and located on the best street - Location
- Konstantinos (1/5): Bad - The position The clenesess
- Andreea (7/5): Good - Location , host The women from upstairs, she is speaking to loud and we couldn't relax
- Ruth (6/5): Pleasant - The location was great right in the middle of the Spanish quarter but it felt quiet and secluded. Some noise from neighbours is expected but it was nothing major. Pastry & coffee from the cafe across the road were lovely to start the day The bathroom smelt incredibly musty. The floors in the shower and all over the bathroom were dirty and it looked like there was mould in the light. Need to put a fan in there to prevent this
- Todd (10/5): Great value in the heart of Toledo. - Central location with a great vibe. The room was clean and well setup for a homely feel. Owner and host was lovely and met us right on time. Bed was super comfortable and facilities outstanding for Napoli. Iron, hair dryer, fridge etc. Coffee croissant next door was a nice touch. Nothing. Would recommend
- Aris (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, lovely studio and the host was incredibly helpful and kind with us
- Sheree (10/5): Cosy, funky and fun - Safe, clean and convenient
- Cyril (7/5): Okey room but the Price is also okey - Quite centrall and 85€ for Su/Mo The bathroom is very small and has old furniture.
When taking a shower the floor is full of water.
You can hear everything going on, on the streets.
- Anna (1/5): Humid box with mould and no ventilation. STAY AWAY - Nothing there to like. The location was in the very busy street with sellers and karaoke at night. The 'apartment' was a box located on the ground floor of about 7 floor block of flats. The window from the bathroom opened towards the gate where you could hear the loud crowds. Most people smoked next to the apartment. Hence, if you opened the window, you would get no fresh air covered in smoke fumes. The other window seen on the photo (next to the bed) opens to a vent, no window on the other side of the wall!
Due to this poor and very little fresh air flow, the place is very humid and stinks, which the owner tries to hide with many air fresheners. The mould coming from this humidity also is attempted to be hidden by fake leaves and other wall decorations.
On the first day, we stayed there for 4 hours, and my partner got an allergy infection with asthma attacks. Myself, I struggled to breathe due to the non existing fresh air flow. We had to book an emergency accommodation far away from Naples as prices were super high with such short notice.
On the last day before the airport we returned. It was a rainy day, and hence, the apartment had a very heavy and humid air. Also, the wet towels we left on the first day were still damp after 3 nights!
The note of 'breakfast included' is wrong as you get a voucher for a pastry and coffee from the shop opposite the apartment.
Overall, this place SHOULD NOT BE LISTED on booking.com as it presents the health risk for longer stays with humidity, no proper ventilation, mould, and bugs roaming the floors.
The photos accurately deceive you as to what this place is, yet, it is not somewhere where people should stay unless you're asking for flare ups, allergy reactions and lung infections.
I strongly recommend you avoid this place.
- Anna (8/5): Good choice for a 2 night stay! - Amazing location, easy access, friendly owner
(1/5): Bad -
- Ignaciodemiguel (7/5): Good -
- Kristýna (9/5): Superb -
- Lily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Agne (10/5): Exceptional - The room is very cute 🫠
- Katy (8/5): Very sweet room, but in a loud area - Very good value for money, nicely decorated and had everything you could need in the room Woman in the building above was very loud, but luckily was quiet after 9pm, was a lot of noise from outside, car horns/dogs barking etc
- Raluca (7/5): Good - Privately owned by locals and fantastic location, allowing to explore the city. You could tell that the owners left their mark when designing the flat, which was very unique and much appreciated! The room was much smaller than it appeared in the pictures, and the bed was far from comfortable! The property is definitely suitable for a one or two night stay but it’s too small (and can get claustrophobic!) for longer stays.
- Gary (1/5): If you want to experience the ghetto of Naples, this one is for you. - None, we hated everything. We booked for 5 nights, but stayed only one night. Located in a ghetto: old, dirty, stifling smell of the mould and noisy 24 hours a day. This place smelled like a dirty public restroom!!!! I am not exaggerating. The property manager, Salvadore, picked us up 25 minutes late. I kept asking him if that place were safe. He didn’t understand much English, so didn’t answer my question. Since we got there around midnight, we had no choice but stay there. But we were very uneasy. The street was Very noisy night with people riding a motorcycle and a scooter going up and down the street honking every second. Residents of the building talked loud all night. Dog’s barking echoed, upstairs resident dragged an object on the concrete floor all night. And I ran out of hot water while taking a shower.
Next day, we met up with our friends who we’re staying at an apartment, and stayed with them. Then the 4th day in Naples, we got a hotel room. We couldn’t stand that place, not safe for your mental and physical health. I didn’t want to get sick from the mould.
- Steven (8/5): Very good - Really liked the vouchers for breakfast.
Very good idea and nice to involve the neighborhood.
Loved the speculoos!
- Epameinondas (7/5): Good - Staff and location where really great. The decoration of the room was really nice and had a comfy feeling. We were unlucky and the air-conditioning has been broken a few days before our arrival so the room had a lot of humidity!
- Teixeira (8/5): Very good -
- Steven (6/5): Disappointing but fine for one night - It was centrally located and it had some decorations which were nice. Also no issues with the bed and the room was fine for a one night stay as we did. There was warm water for only 5-10 minutes, so one of us had to shower with cold water. We were also disappointed with not really having a breakfast despite it saying to be included. No proper coffee and croissant as other reviews mentioned. Also, it's not really a 'bath' if it's half that of a standard 1p size. Overall the room looks bigger on the photos.
- Benedetta (8/5): Nice stay right in the heart of Quartieri Spagnoli! -
- Jessica (8/5): Very good - awesome location - Spanish quarters. very helpful hosts. super clean.
- Frederic (1/5): It was terrible! DON‘T GO THERE!!! It is a health hazard! - DON‘T GO THERE!!! It is a health hazard!
- it smells terrible of mold
- mold everywhere
- everything is wet
- dirty bed sheets
- the water stinks
- the water does not drain
I have travelled a lot in my life and stayed in hotels, motels, hostels, campings and apartments but i have never seen something like this! it was just disgusting!
It should be removed from booking!
I would have uploaded more pictures but to upload more than 4 is unfortunately not possible.
- Amy (10/5): Excellent comfortable stay. Accomodation clean and cozy. Staff very friendly and offer a airport pick up service which h - central location in Naples town
- Allison (10/5): The apartment was nice and in a busy area, close to restaurants, but secure and safe. - The breakfast was good. There was a small cafe across the street and you bring a little voucher for breakfast each morning and they provide you with breakfast.
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keta (9/5): Superb - Nice place
- Kat (10/5): A hidden gem amongst the chaos of Napoli. - A quirky and well curated space in the heart of the Spanish Quarters. Quiet, comfortable and exactly what we needed.
The owner/ host was very communicative and accomodating - going out of his way to make sure we had a great time.
I highly recommend you stay here for your next trip to Napoli!
- Nemeth (10/5): Exceptional - friendly people
