• Jiri (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Vatican Maya Home and would highly recommend it. - The Vatican Maya Home has a fantastic location being 10 minutes away from the Vatican and next to a metro station giving very easy access to Rome's historical sites. The flat was very clean and we felt truly at home there during our stay. Communication with the hosts was very easy and we were met on arrival and introduced to the flat. If we find ourselves in Rome again, we will be looking to stay there and we would highly recommend Vatican Maya Home to couples and friends visiting this wonderful city.

Piuttosto un arredamento minimale e una passata in più alle superfici. Letti scomodi. Check in laborioso: devi prendere appuntamento e ci sono dei sovrapprezzi oltre l'orario indicato cosa che è descritta nell' annuncio ma sicuramente non cordiale specie se si tratta di poco tempo. È la prima volta peraltro che mi capita. Doccia piccola. Porta del bagno ammuffita. Prodotti da bagno scadenti.

• FERNANDO (9/5): Excelente ubicación, entorno cómodo, cálida acogida. - La ubicación es óptima. Muy cerca del Vaticano. Excelente comunicación con el centro (metro Ottaviano a 1 minuto), así como numerosos autobuses. Muchas tiendas y supermercados en los alrededores. La atención a la recepción por parte de Amedeo fue estupenda. Estaría bien que la cocina tuviese microondas. Y que el plato de ducha fuese un pelín más grande, aunque tal como está es aceptable. Todo lo demás perfecto.

Le pentole per cucinare non in buono stato, assenza strofinacci per cucina e capsule caffè (ho chiesto se fossero quelle che uso a casa, ma indicazione non precisa) indicazioni inglesi in bagno forse non corrette.

Serratura finestra bagno guasta. Porta bagno non chiude (gonfiata). Suoneria citofono guasta. Assenza canali TV di informazione.Tende "veneziane" guaste.Penalità di 25 € per ritardo all'arrivo, ma non dichiarata sulla ricevuta di 310 € pagata per tassa di soggiorno+ persona supplementare, in contanti, all'incaricato, all'arrivo. Somma totale di 1.335 €, eccessiva.
• Giacomo (3/5): - posizione, accesso da via pedonale, vicinanza della metropolitana e quartiere molto bello. Pieno di ristoranti. Il WIFI della case e' di ottima qualita' ed e' stato bello avere a doisposizione cialde per il caffe' molto buone e fette biscottate e marmellata. L'host ci ha anche fornito acqua per tutto il periodo di soggiorno. la casa e' trascurata. Il bagno estremamente piccolo, per una persona piu' alta di 190cm la doccia e' inpraticalbile, il tubo della doccia in mezzo alla doccia sta continuamente a contatto col corpo, situazione igienica non piacevole. La tazza del water era rotta e la casa ha poca manutenzione. Il materasso e' di pessima qualita' e protetto da un solo lenzuolo. La casa e' esageratamente riempita di oggetti di adorno che non vengono puliti regolarmente e quindi sono pieni di polvere. All'arrivo siamo stati ben accolti ma l'host e' stato molto insistente nel chiedere continui aggiornamenti per non aspettare gli ospiti. Noi siamo arrivati di domenica alle 17:30 a termini ed e' stato faticoso prendere una metro. Dovermi preoccupare in continuazione di far sapere dove sono e' stato spiacevole e mi ha creato stress in un momento di vacanza. ho difficolta' motorie e cercavo la casa con ascensore. L'ascensore e' stato non utilizzabile per tutto il tempo.

• Vlasta (10/5): Ubytovanie Vatican Maya Home, odporúčame. - Ubytovanie bolo krásne, čisté s príjemnou atmosférou. Vyborná dostunosť ku všetkým pamiatkam, ktoré sme chceli navštíviť. Všetko bolo v poriadku, boli sme srdečne privítaní.
• Mora (10/5): Alojamiento hermoso y host muy atento - La entrada y el lugar son realmente hermosos, con una ubicación inmejorable. El recibimiento fue perfecto: muy atentos en todo momento, incluso me ayudaron a conseguir leche la primera noche, cuando ya estaba todo cerrado, para mis hijos. Ese gesto marcó la diferencia y guardo este lugar con mucho cariño en mi corazón. La vista desde las ventanas y balcones es preciosa, y todo estaba impecablemente limpio. Se nota que cuidan cada detalle: hasta dejaron cápsulas de café para el desayuno, aunque en los alrededores también hay excelentes lugares para desayunar. Una experiencia maravillosa que recomiendo sin dudar.

• S (7/5): well organised apartment in wonderful lively location - The check-in experience was smooth, and the host gave us a detailed tour of the house upon arrival, which we appreciated. The communication before check-in was quite active, with frequent messages from the time we landed until we reached the stay. While we understand the intention was to help coordinate, it felt a bit overwhelming as we were also managing a baby and finding our way in a new city. Overall, the stay itself was comfortable and we appreciated the warm welcome.
• Yilin (10/5): Exceptional - Great location — very close to the Vatican, metro, and airport bus stop. The host was helpful during check-in and gave us bottled water and jam. It was also very quiet at night, which we appreciated. The shower is quite small — you have to be careful turning around — but the water pressure and hot water were great.

• Georgiana-maria (1/5): DO NOT BOOK - Close to Vatican DO NOT BOOK, YOU WILL RUIN YOUR HOLIDAY! The apartment did not look as the pictures, it was old and not cleaned in a very long time. It s rented through an agency that is only oriented towards making money. The wanted €100 deposit, i have nerver ever heard of this before especially when there was nothing there worh this amont of money. The wanted a charge for a late check in!!! A lock box can sort this out!! Minimum info were given about getting to the apartment that is located in a very old building with an internal yard and 3 different staircases, no info about it at the enterance of the building.. It looked like a ghost apartment, the agency worker was late and we didn't feel welcomed. He went first in the apartment and put a "cleaned" sign on the toilet. It s not allowed to throw toilet paper in the toilet and we found toilet paper in it. I wanted to leave after the first night but we knew we would get our money back. We couldn't use the pillows, they smelled like manure(animal shit), the shower was 1square meter, can't move in it (i m 60kg) and covered in mold, absolutely disgusting! I couldn't brush my teeth, that s how dirty the sink was, lots of mold around the tap and the drain. We brought our own slippers and we had to throw them away after 5 days, the floors were that dirty. I had to deep clean the bathroom so we can use it. Unfortunately i took the pictures of the shower after the first anti-mold round, imagine how it was initially. I have asked for my money back and they offered me the cleaning fee as i cleaned the apartment 🤣🤣🤣 And a10% discount if i go back 🤣 I should be crazy to go back!! I hope my review will help others not to ruin their holiday. Ours was it it was my birthday!

• Beth (10/5): Great stay close to the Vatican - The location was perfect. We had a Vatican tour organised the day of our check in, so we were able to drop off our bags for a small fee then return later in the afternoon. Lots of bottled water provided in fridge. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. all provided. The bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again if we return to Rome.

• Elizabeth (9/5): For living like a Roman - For those who enjoy a taste of living in a vintage Italian building, this apartment is full of charm. It is a nice, clean one-bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a good shower and everything works well (especially the strong Internet). The apartment is conveniently located near shops and public transportation, and it looks out on a pretty interior courtyard with a flock of green parakeets. Davide gave us a full tour as he handed over the keys. Non-working elevator. It's only one flight of stairs but it means that the apartment is off limits to people with limited mobility.

Davide really went above and beyond to help us with our bags as we had an early flight. Would recommend for anyone looking for a great base to visit Rome.

It was within walking distance of the Vatican, very close to the metro stop, on the street where everything is. Everything was available in the house. Thank you very much for the extra water, bread and marmalade. It would be nice if there was a dishwasher and washing machine.

• Mojca (10/5): A pleasant apartment in an exceptional location next to the Vatican - The location is exceptional: the Vatican is around one corner, the metro station is on the other, approx. 7 minutes walk and you are at Castel Sant Angelo and other sights and pleasant areas, the Tiber River... The apartment is just the right size and well-equipped, so you can prepare a meal yourself or make a great Bialetti coffee. Many great restaurants are around as well as shops. Our apartment looked out over a quiet garden, while a vivid world hid behind the heavy front door. And also Mr. Davide, our host was very helpful and friendly.
• Sergey (4/5): Disappointing, feel been misled. - The location is good, especially if you are interested in Vatican. The bedroom is quiet and the mattress seems to be quite new (while it was covered with a waterproof cloth for unknown reasons). The host did his best to compensate our disappointment with the apartment. (1) The apartment is shabby, dark, and completely does not correspond to its presentation on Booking. We just became speechless as we saw it. (3) It's marked as a no-smoking, but there is still a smell of tobacco smoke -- just as the previous owner had been smoking inside for a long time. (3) The apartment is dirty (spots on the walls, furniture) and had not been properly cleaned before our arrival. (4) The shower cabin is small and not hygienic: equipped with a rubber mat on the floor, and with a curtain, which sticks to your back during the shower. (5) The apartment is overpriced considering its condition and housekeeping. I have used Booking for many years, and it's the first time that the apartments have not corresponded to their description and my expectations respectively.
• Anastasiia (9/5): Superb - The host was nice and caring. And he left some nice snacks for me. The apartment was clean. It is located near subway station, so it was easy to travel around Rome. From window you see beautiful patio. Also I used a coffee machine in the apartment and coffee was really tasty. The shower cabin is tiny. For me it was ok, but for bigger person it would be hard to use it. The apartment is located close to the church, so I couldn't take a nap in the evening after the flight because of bells.

The flat is very cozy in a nice old building, looking towards the internal yard and the nearby church. Drinking coffee on one of the small tables overseeing the yard is a pleasure! One small remark - pls put 1-2 proper knives:)))

Our apartment was clean and peaceful and located very near to the train station and within walking distance to the Vatican. AS Roma shop is only two shops away from us too! Very convenient to be staying in the city centre. The price is a bit too high in my opinion.

• Didier (6/5): Very good location but apartment needs some repairs - The location : a few steps away from the metro and a short walk from the center of Vatican City. The sleeping room (good bed and 2 closets to hang or store your clothes). We were a group of 3 adults. The sofa bed was worn out and very uncomfortable. There was a leak from the toilet. The shower is very small. The doors to the bathroom and to the sleeping room didn’t close (scraped on the floor). There were no kitchen towels and the kitchenette was poorly fitted. I pointed out the different shortcomings to Amadeo, the new owner of the apartment (the handover happened on the day of our arrival) and he immediately did all that he could to solve the different issues. Amadeo will most certainly bring some improvement and I don’t exclude staying there again in the future.
• Victoria (8/5): Great stay in Vatican City for a Couple - This space is perfect for two people! The bedroom is large and the seating area is very comfortable with brand new furniture. The building was very quiet with absolutely no noise coming in from the street. The owner was very nice and responsive to requests and comments. The location was excellent - 3 minute walk to the Vatican, 1 minute to the metro line, 23 minutes to the colosseum, and plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. The bathroom needs some work, the door wouldn’t close completely and there was visible water damage on the bottom of it, the toilet leaked a bit, and the shower curtain was too long where it covered the drain. The apartment wasn’t the cleanest, there were old olives in the fridge with a bad smell making it unpleasant to open the fridge, used coffee cartridges on the counter, and old bread in the cupboard. Check-in online says 3pm which we confirmed ahead of time but on the day of we were unable to check in until 4:30pm.

Our host Antonella welcomed us and showed and explained everything to us, she also gave us very good recommendations for restaurants in the area. The apartment has an excellent location, just a five-minute walk to the Vatican and two minutes to the metro station. The apartment is well equipped for a multi-day stay. Uncomfortable and too loud mattress, too small shower with non-functioning shower curtain. We were given only one large towel per person for the six days of our stay, the other being paper towels. There were no kitchen towels.
• Cazscotchic (8/5): Great, central and just what a couple needs - So central to where you need to go, everything you need for a couple, air con was a life saver, small balcony and covers for Windows to stop flat warming up to much through the day. Lovely location, lovely church bells at night and just felt very authentic, Antonella's was a star 🌟 Bed squeaked so badly, if a light sleeper u won't sleep at all, shower is quite slippy and very tiny, so be careful coming out of it. Nothing bad just wee jiggles really, could do with Aircon in bedroom as only in living room 😔 or a decent fan as gets very warm at night
