- Nichole (1/5): Falsely Advertised Dump - This is our written request for a full refund. Your property was falsely advertised on Booking.com. The listing states that “you will have the entire place to yourselves” and that there is a “private bathroom.” Both of these claims are false. The home is occupied 24 hours a day by the property manager. Occupants are forced to share a shower with that stranger, which is unacceptable, inappropriate, unsanitary, an invasion of privacy, and unsafe. This is especially true for our teenage daughters. The showers are located on the first floor, right next to the room where this man is living! The showers are also located right next to the front door of the home, which remains unlocked throughout the day. Not only does the listing fail to provide any indication of this living situation, but the property manager did not explain it to us until AFTER we checked in. Within moments of learning this, we informed him that we would have to cancel our reservation because it was unsafe and we called Booking.com to cancel. The home also reeked of fish and was not clean. It is gloomy and dirty, nothing like the photos that make it appear to be so bright and clean and cheerful. The photos were clearly manipulated. We have sent a video showing the evidence of your falsely described listing to your property manager’s email address. We will be doing whatever we can within the law and reporting you to the Better Business Bureau if we are not reimbursed right away.
