Guest Reviews
- Thomas (9/5): Cosy comfy cottage close to the sea. - Cosy cottage with everything we needed. Close to the beach. Comfy and relaxing
- Valerie (9/5): - Location, room for everyone without feeling cramped, the open fireplace was gorgeous and it had a wonderful safe and secure space for our puppies
Great stay The only think I would criticise was the lack of water pressure in the ensuite, really wasn’t usable but we easily made do with the other bathroom,
- David (10/5): Excellent accomodation and location - Excellent location and huge garden for the dogs It was all good
- Alison (9/5): Wonderful - Location Got very hot with afternoon sun
- Annie (8/5): Cosy, comfortable, great yard for the dog. Excellent location. - Great family place to stay. It had everything we needed. Loved the electric blanket - we needed it!
The fire was a must and we enjoyed the fire pit outside too.

- Leonie (10/5): Sometimes five stars doesn’t have to mean it’s perfect - just that it’s perfect for me - Fabulous location, the most this town for many years comfortable property I’ve stayed at in at this location for many years - and I’ve tried at least five different properties) -
- Rachel (9/5): Cosy cottage, great location - very walkable and the perfect yard for our dog. -
- Werner (6/5): Disappointed due to poor upkeep of property and old furniture. - Location good. Can walk to main street if you want.
Nice fire place to keep you warm. It is not well maintained. Cobwebs in the house against the walls and on the veranda. Cleaning not done before we arrived. Dishwasher still full of wash from previous visitors and not unpacked. Fire place not cleaned out and I had to do this myself. Outside furniture has not been cleaned for a long time so cannot be used. Had to secure openings to prevent my pet from escaping so not that secure for small dogs. Furniture quite old and interior not very to standard. Old non matching furniture just put together. Open cavity in shower so very cold when wind blows. Grass not cut in a while so property in general very untidy. Neighbours across the road very noisy until 1am in the morning. Only basic tv channels available.
- Emily (8/5): - Plenty of space Beds weren’t all that comfortable

- Carla (7/5): Great location for local cafes and shops, and brilliant yard for the dog - Location
Brilliant yard for the dog
Log fire and plenty of wood
Filtered water provided A few cleaning things - dishwasher was full when we arrived, fronts of kitchen cupboards had marks on them and a couple of sticky handles, shower and bathroom floor needed cleaning.
Also there was no coffee machine - saw pods in cupboard but couldn’t find the machine. (Great coffee shops close by though!)
- Chris (9/5): A lovely relaxing stay - Lovely heritage cottage tastefully renovated keeping character. Comfortable and warm. Wonderful that dogs are allowed. Some of the kitchen utensils and crockery and cutlery were a bit dirty but we totally appreciate that this is down to previous occupants more than anything.

- Philippa (10/5): A very pleasant and large house only a short drive to everything. We would stay there again. - Pooh Corner was a delightful place to stay within a vary short drive to the main attractions of Robe. The house was easy to find and the self-check-in went smoothly. We especially liked the open fire place, the charming veranda and the lay out of the house. The bed was very comfortable and we could see ourselves coming back and staying there again, perhaps with family (the layout is perfect for families or couples or two families traveling together. The kitchen had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable and the house had a lovely beachy feel. With a name like Pooh Corner we did expect to find at least some homage to AA MIlne, like a picture of the characters, somewhere in the house. They were not to be seen anywhere. There was nothing we did not like.
- Kate (9/5): Cosy cottage, with a great fire, sun filled rooms, everything you need, comfy beds, great yard, pet friendly, close to r - Cosy cottage, with a great fire, sun filled rooms, everything you need, comfy beds, great yard, pet friendly, close to restaurants, shops & sights. Friendly host. Nothing!
- Andrew (10/5): Pooh Corner, a must in Robe.. - Pooh Corner was a lovely comfortable clean cottage close to central Robe. JJ was very easy to communicate with. When we arrived heaters had been turned on which made the cottage extremely warm and welcoming. There was a log fire in the lounge with plenty of fire wood, which was a bonus given how cold it was. The grounds were very secure for our 2 dogs which was great. The house is very dog friendly which was obviously a focus for this holiday. There was nothing we didn't like about Pooh Corner, the comfort, proximity to town, cleanliness, warmth, communication were all exceptional.
- Cheryl (10/5): Cosy cottage close to beach and shops - The cottage is so cosy - the wood heater in one living area was great for the cold nights. And the other living room has floor to ceiling windows which you can chill in the comfy chairs and enjoy the winter sun.Short walk to beach, town and golf course. The Caledonian inn has a beer garden which is dog friendly with heaters so we could enjoy our dinner. There are 3 bedrooms we stayed in the room with en-suite. bed was super comfy and bedding really warm. Our dog loved exploring the huge grassy backyard. Note driveway/carpark is on bagot street and byo tea coffee and milk.
- Andrea (8/5): Very good - Lovely rustic cottage with a cosy lounge with a fire. Very close to the shops & restaurants, cafes & pub. Close to the beach. The bathroom had water damage on the walls. But it's to be expected in an old late 18th-century cottage.
- Sarah (8/5): Cosy cottage by the sea! - Fantastic location, homely feel, coffee machine!
- Lorna (8/5): A very enjoyable and relaxing stay. - Excellent location, beautiful fireplace, spacious and clean No washing machine

- Jacqui (9/5): Recreation, relaxation and restoration in the heart of Robe. - The location is excellent. Only two streets back from the main street makes it easy to stroll to cafes, restaurants and shops. It is also within reach of the walking track along the cliff tops. The cottage is comfortable, spacious and full of old character with modern touches. The massive enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. There is so much to entertain with a great array of books and games. We felt very at home here. We liked everything

- Rose (9/5): Superb -
- Karl (8/5): Very good -
- Maxine (9/5): Very comfortable, warm and cosy - lots of room - plenty of appliances - easy walking to everywhere. - Location was great - easy access to shops/walks/beach. Cottage was bigger than we thought, very light and airy in the built-on areas, with a cosy wood fire lounge for evenings with plenty of logs. Garden was big. Dining area caught the morning sun so was perfect for breakfasts. And, the best bit, our dog was allowed inside and she made herself very comfy with her beds and blankets in various areas - by the fire or in the sunshine. She said to say thankyou! The bathroom could have been bigger and lighter - you wouldn't want to leave to blind open into the family room if there were a few people present. Nowhere to put your clothes when showering.
