Guest Reviews
- Nola (10/5): -
- Janet (6/5): Tranquil in the bush. - Serene, with lovely views. Don’t like to have to take my rubbish away, not for the price of the cottage.
No instructions to use the sauna.
I found it a bit tricky to get there on the gravel road but I do realise it’s country!

- Nawira (10/5): Beautiful property surrounded by nature, perfect for our gateway disconnect from the busy city life. Can’t believe it’s - Beautiful property, has everything we need and has a lot of kids toys, trampoline and monkey bars.
- Sharon.duarte (7/5): Relaxing stay but we left feeling a little disappointed. - Comfortable home with all you would need to relax for 4 adults only Unfortunately some pots were found dirty, BBQ did not have a handle and was not clean.Toilet light did not work. When notified owner, nothing was done to help. For $500 a night, you would think these items would be checked after other people had checked out. Also, very remote, town was 20-30 minutes away.
- Linda (7/5): Lovely cottage with perfect quiet - The cottage itself is roomy and has just about everything you need. There's heaps of toys for the kids, including a trampoline and cubby house There's a fair bit of maintenance to be done. The windows weren't able to be opened because the flyscreens were falling off. Below was a drop onto rocks. Several minor things needed fixing like the mixer tap in the kitchen fell off in my hand, and all the hooks for you towels and toilet rolls were very loose. The most annoying thing was there was no rubbish facilities at the property. We had to drive into York daily to drop off the rubbish at a property.
- Kathy (10/5): It was a delightful weekend for all the family. - It was difficult to get into the house. We couldn't get either key to turn in the lock, then had to try several other doors before we could gain access.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and fireplaces were great on the cold evenings. Cooking facilities were great.
- Allan (10/5): Awesome weekend escape - The whole property, the rooms, the beds are really comfy, the house is cozy and made my family and I feel really safe despite being out in the middle of nowhere. Alongside that the location in the country was perfect giving you the sense of being away from the noise of day to day life living around Perth.
The host was quick to answer questions and would recommend to anybody.
Thank you for a well needed escape The bull ants but that's getting country for you 🙂
- Siobhan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ngaere (9/5): Superb - What an absolute gem this place is. Filled with a huge collection of things for children to do- board games, classic DVDs, trampoline, cubby house, swings- while the adults can enjoy a glass of wine on the deck and soak in the serenity of the beautiful surroundings.
Everything you could possibly want in the kitchen is provided. The whole house has been tastefully renovated and styled. Can't wait to go back in winter to make use of the fireplace! Distance from town if you plan on eating out and having a few drinks.
- Asfar (10/5): We’ll be back :) - It iş secluded but easy to travel to, providing true opportunities for families to just relax and enjoy their stay. Nothing
- Martin (10/5): An exceptional location and an equally exceptional lodge, clean, comfortable and very well furnished - The fire pit, peaceful isolated location, kids being able to feed the animals, many play areas and equipment for the kids....list is endless, you could not do justice to it through description alone Numbering the light switches could improve identification
- Claudia (9/5): A very relaxing and tranquil lodge. Perfect for families who want a luxurious escape to the country. - The accommodation was really well appointed, everything we could possibly need was there. The children enjoyed all the board games, the bathroom and kitchen was very new and clean and the bed and sofa were superbly comfy. A really really enjoyable stay. Spectacular sunsets from the veranda too! Quiet, peaceful and so much bird life in the mornings, beautiful.
- Ashlyn (10/5): The PERFECT Getaway - Everything! The location, the amenities, the homeliness, the catering to children, the animals, the comfy beds, the communication and direction from the host, Natasha - absolutely everything. Nothing. I don't have a single bad word to say.
- Melitta (10/5): Ladies weekend - We loved the view, the silence, the space, the fire, wow, the house was well equipped, neat & tidy. Had heaps of books & games. Wifi, wasn't really working. Which was not the end of my world. But, would've liked to speak to my kids atleast. The one toilet light did not work.
The lights in the kitchen & lounge area were a bit dark. Would've liked it to be brighter. But, other than that, I can't fault the place at all. We loved every minute 😍
- Kimberly (9/5): Superb -
- Peta (6/5): Nice get away if you have a 4WD and if you have handyman/plumbing skills to deal with any problems. - The location and surroundings were fantastic for a get away from the City. We had problems with the hot water system the whole time we were there. One gas bottle was empty, and you could not run any other taps in the house when having a shower as it would cut off the hot water to the shower. It appears there may be a fault with the regulator on the hot water unit that needs attention.
I would also have liked to have had the information up front on the house/location description about the length of gravel road travelling required to get to the property. We are very pleased that we did not ride our show bikes up to York as the weather and condition of the gravel road would have damaged them. This information should be given up front so you can determine if you have the right car to make the trip. One extra thing that was a bit of a let down was the fact we had to take our rubbish with us. For the cost of the accommodation, this service should really be included.
- Jude (9/5): Overall, lovely property and location, will definitely stay again but be more self sufficient. - Location was a little difficult to find but okay once we knew where we were. Didn't help that internet was poor. We would have liked more towels and tea towels.
- Elaine (9/5): great fun with the animal family, enjoyed some nice walks around the property, enjoyed a glass of wine in the evenings o - everything I understand that we were in the countryside, so we expected bugs, but not the constant onslaught from the black bugs all around the inside of the property in the evening
- Mide (8/5): Very good -
- Marcia (8/5): Very good - Loved the peaceful location and the interaction with the animals particularly for the children. Great family friendly accommodation. Downside is only having 2 bedrooms but everything else is good.
- Sharon (10/5): Brilliant, loved every minute of it - Amazing house with absolutely nothing around it, it was incredibly peaceful, just what we wanted. Very well equipped and well designed. The sunroom was perfect for our three kids who felt like they had their private getaway. There's so much space for people to stay, if only it had one extra bathroom/ensuite, you'd be able to have two/three families stay there quite easily. Apart from that, it was perfect. Farm animals and plenty of toys/books kept the kids occupied the entire time we were there.
- Johan (9/5): Relaxing and rejuvenating. - Natural environment, comfortable and spacious accommodation , fireplaces plus firewood, farm animals plus carrots, well equipped. Some doors and BBQ need fixing.
- Tony (9/5): Superb -
- Melanie (10/5): Stunning home in a quiet location very clean and super comfortable. - Driving in at dusk the canola fields are in bloom it was a beautiful start to our weekend. The house is gorgeous. The fire was prepared. The kitchen is so well equiped. you couldn’t want for anything else. Very clean and cozy. Animals are friendly. can’t wait to come back. We couldn’t find the tea towels 😂 no big deal.
