- kenneth (10/5): Highly recommend - This is a great property. The finish, amenities, style was outstanding .
It is close to attractions and downtown and a few good places to eat within 5 mins drive ….a couple within walking distance Loved the well equipped kitchen, breakfast bar and living areas.
Yes the bedroom is next to the road but we did not find the road noise was a problem ….at the end of the day you are in a town ,!!
We loved our 2 night stay …..would have stayed longer but the were booked up…..which is a good sign
- Lee-Anne (10/5): - The property was exceptionally clean & very well maintained. The bed was so comfortable. The shower over the bath tub.

- Kerry (9/5): Perfect stay for a besties reunion - We loved the location and it was a very comfortable house to stay, with absolutely every thoughtful touch to make a delightful stay! Just to note that the double bed is actually a single bed (not a double) in a small room that comes off one off the master rooms. Super comfortable though! None!
- teresa (9/5): - The house was lovely comfortable beds.
All the amenities you need. Great location walking distance into town of Clare.
- sharyn (7/5): The property was serviceable but could do better - The breakfast and location were amazing The clock had a dead battery. The step onto the deck was dangerous and one of us had a fall. The side gate had a broken latch and it was very lucky we noticed before letting our little dog out

Our host Sue was very helpful and accommodating nothing - maybe mosquito repellent or coils

2 large bedrooms with king beds, one much smaller room and bed would suit child best. Heaters in each room, bathroom was huge. Nothing it was fabulous!
- Sue (8/5): Clean, comfortable and easy walking distance to Clare’s Main Street. - Warm and comfortable, very comfortable king size bed. Requested soy milk instead of regular milk for breakfast, which the host agreed to do, but there was only regular milk supplied.
- Judy (8/5): Great place to stay. - Great location, house very comfortable. Everything was perfect and thoroughly enjoyed it. We thought it had 2 full bathrooms but had 1 bathroom and a separate toilet.
- Holty (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosy. The heaters and electric blankets worked really well for us on such a cold and wet weekend. Great location so close to the city centre. The TV in the lounge was great and had all the streaming apps we needed. It was great to be able to log in to Kayo for the footy. There were also large TV's in the bedrooms that looked very modern but we did not use. Everything was great thanks.
- Dru (9/5): Superb -
- Patricia (9/5): Superb - Nicely decorated. Lots of kitchen equipment
- Trudy (9/5): Superb - Great location, wonderful comfy beds, cute cottage, heaters in rooms were good Lounge was a bit uncomfortable
- Annabel (10/5): We enjoyed our stay that was pleasant, comfortable with some great nights’ sleep. - From the outside, the property looks quite humble. However, once you get into the front door it’s so lovely and the outside areas looked amazing, especially with the beautiful autumn vines in the outdoor lounge. Everything was super clean. The beds deserve a special mention for being so cozy Uncomfortable. There was nothing I didn’t like about the property.
- Bruce (9/5): Superb - Location and size Nilp
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlotte (10/5): Perfect pet friendly stay in Clare Valley - Sue is a wonderful host and Jack’s House 2 had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The outdoor deck was perfect to relax on and having an enclosed garden was perfect for bringing our dog along too.
Bedrooms are spacious and bed’s comfortable.
Plenty of crockery and utensils provided; towels and toiletries are plentiful. Even provision of breakfast items is a welcome touch!
Location was perfect - we wouldn’t stay anywhere else if/when we return to Clare! No wardrobe/drawers to store clothes, however there are ample hangers provided to hand stuff on coat hooks.
- Malcolm (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (8/5): Lovely home in great location for a 2 night stay. - Very comfortable after many cellar door visits. Especially liked the couches outside. Easy walk to trail and shops and to a lovely Italian restaurant, Ragu, for dinner.
- Dianne (10/5): Lovely house in central area - A lovely house to stay for 3 nights in Clare. The bedrooms had king beds, very comfortable. Nicely renovated and decorated . Continental breakfast pus bacon and eggs available was a nice treat. House is close to restaurants and shops, very quiet area at night. Towels and linen were first class. Better hanging area in bedroom and a suitcase rack would be nice rather than suitcases on the floor.
- Linda (10/5): Had a wonderful stay. Had visitors from the UK with us, they loved it. - Loved the house and location We couldn’t get channel 7, no footy.
- Clare (10/5): Great location and nice, relaxing holiday! - Well equipped and very homely!
- Joe (9/5): The house exceeded my expectations, a great place to stay. - Very nice property. Just like the photos. The house was clean and very well presented. The breakfast food supplied was good. Its in a great location with easy access to the town and nearby Riesling Trail. Every thing was good. We had no complaints. Possibly a fly screen/security door on the front door to allow for a breeze would be nice.
- Leroy (9/5): Superb -
- Steven (9/5): Superb -
- Matt (9/5): Superb -
- Tim (7/5): Great location but to justify the tariff charged it needs refurbishing. - The location is excellent, within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Breakfast provisions were plentiful and of good quality. Bed was very comfortable. The outdoor patio area was a great place to relax. Some of the furniture and decor was tired and in need of refurbishing.
- Ruth (10/5): Fantastic stay, all we could want for or few days in Clare. By far the best property we’ve stayed in for our month in SA - Great outdoor area & facilities were superb Nothing
- Leonie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grant (10/5): You can do much better than this - Such an amazing home. Two massive bedrooms with the most comfortable beds. The outdoor patio was fantastic. Great please to relax after a days hard work. The breakfast was terrific with loads to eat. Can’t fault it No a thing
- Oliver (8/5): Very good. - Excellent The third bedroom was a little inconvenient. If one of the king size beds was able to be split into two singles, it would have been perfect. Advance notice of the shower over bath would have been good to know as we had one elderly person and one with a disability. Shower access was a problem. For the elderly it was not usable.
- Carly (9/5): Superb -
- Catherine (9/5): Superb - Location
Comfort
Supplies A larger pot for cooking pasta would be great.
Need dish cloths for wiping bench table etc
- Clare (9/5): Such a lovely home and very well set up for visitors! -
- Susan (9/5): Jacks was ideally placed to town within an easy walk. Great house and very comfortable after a long day at the wineries. - Everything we needed for stay was there, all the bits and bobs in the kitchen. Lovely outside alfresco area with blankets at the ready for the cooler nights. The king size bed was sooo comfortable and robes in each bedroom. Overall a lovely place to stay. Oh, and the bacon and eggs were delicious. A more modern tv would be good so you can cast to it.
- Lianne (10/5): 10 out of 10 loved the decor clean and comfortable - The most amazing breakfast so fresh Fridge PowerPoint bit of an issue
- Cathy (8/5): Highly recommend for comfort, convenience and plentiful facilities. - Location close to the heart of Clare and within walking distance of shopping, food outlets and wineries. The property is large enough to sleep 4 comfortably, with a good size living area, well appointed kitchen, large bathroom and laundry room. Outdoor area was a bonus. All the facilities needed for our stay and the breakfast supplies were plentiful. Not a lot. Surface cleanliness was good, but may benefit from a more frequent deep clean to remove dust bunnies from under the beds.
- Rocco (8/5): Very enjoyable - Location and breakfast were great. The place is great too. Mozzies are a problem. Screen doors front and back would be great (back screen is ok).
- Lynn (8/5): Lovely time in Clare. Great place to go to vineyards and see other attractions. - Location was excellent, so close to the shops. Great breakfast and cooking facilities. The 3rd bedroom wasn’t really a bedroom. Just an annex.
- Grace (9/5): Will be back - Very homely and comfortable- Sue is thoughtful and the house has everything you could possibly need! Great location and breakfast was an added bonus. We found this place hard to fault!
- Lauriane (6/5): Good location - Great location right in town. A new coffee machine would be great, and upgrade on lounge furniture.
- Rory (8/5): Excellent -
- Penny (7/5): In all very happy, just a few things an issue - Great location, very comfortable and clean Lack of hand towels, could have had more condiments/butter for breakfast
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -

plenty of cups plates cutlery etc, knives that actually cut which is rare in holiday places . Beautiful breakfast supplies . We absolutely loved the place.
Very quiet at night. Beds magnificent. Nothing to not like.
Only one small thing we all would have liked is sets of drawers to unpack clothes in bedrooms.
- Trish (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Ross (10/5): Great getaway in the outstanding Clare Valley - Great location within walking distance to town centre and shopping. Great to have breakfast supplied and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation. Highly recommend Nothing
- Depasquale (10/5): Exceptional - Jack’s place is a cosy, homely cottage. We absolutely loved the time we spent in Clare.
Highly recommended.
- Fortunata (10/5): Felt like home - it felt like home as soon as you walked in, it was super clean, beds were very comfortable, it was a treat we got bathroom gowns to wear, no detail was missed, really loved the outdoor sitting area, there was nothing to dislike
- Andy (8/5): A pleasure to stay in this cottage would recommend to friends - Well equipped kitchen - comfy beds- quality bedding and fixtures - attention to detail appreciated Being picky ! White sliced bread - dressing gowns may not have been washed from previous guests
- Julia (10/5): Amazing as always! - The location is fabulous as we can walk to two of our favourite places; Indii and Mr Mick. Jack’s House 2 feels like home which is lovely. The beds are plush with thick bedding too, so comfy. Breakfast provisions are good. Sue is a wonderful host, always happy to help. This is our fourth visit and we can’t wait to return! An upgrade on the coffee machine would be nice, and a teapot.
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Ideal base for a few days in the Clare Valley - Really well presented with excellent facilities and great location, easy walking to local restaurants and shops.
Very comfortable bed. Very good breakfast provisions provided. Nothing
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Jude (9/5): Very comfortable home - Lovely house in a great location, super helpful with the fully enclosed yard so that we could take our dog on holiday with us and know that he was safe. The house is clean, comfortable and with everything you need, we had a lovely holiday :)
- Amanda (10/5): Exactly accomodation with great amenities. Would definitely book again. -
- Lesley (10/5): Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. - Very comfortable and welcoming. Step getting into bathtub to use shower, even my able bodied friends found it challenging.
I am short & had trouble getting onto the very comfortable, very high, king size bed. But it did give my husband & I a huge belly laugh with my antics trying to get into bed. Might be a good idea to supply a small stool.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): This was a perfect stop for a thorough red wine tour of the Clare. Two couples, 5 nights, wonderful time. - perfect for our red wine tour of the Clare!
- Kerry (7/5): Wonderful little house, well presented and thoughtfully stocked. - Excelkent Shower over the bath is difficult for older folk.
- Kristina (8/5): Very good - Very central, walking distance to everything. Cosy. Very comfortable beds. Welcoming. The only comment I would make is a clothes drier would’ve been good. It was very wet and cold when we were there. We’d been cycling that day, got quite wet and it was hard to get our clothes dry. When the weather is fine I always use a clothes line but this was not an option.
- Wendy (10/5): if this is available for your dates then BOOK it - Best B & B we’ve ever stayed in. The owners seem to have thought of everything. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, with two king size divinely comfy beds. Linen, pillows, furnishings all done extremely well. Also well heated, it was freezing whilst we were in Clare but we were as warm as toast. Lovely fluffy bathrobes. Delicious coffee & breakfast with real butter. Very highly recommended. nothing
- Donna (10/5): We had a wonderful three days at Jack's House. - Our host left the makings of a delicious cooked breakfast .The food was fresh and yummy. Everything was great.
- Ken (9/5): Loved the house. - Breakfast provided was excellent. Location also close to all amenities. No problems.
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marilyn (10/5): Delighful cottage, well appointed and great location. - Very comfortable and cosy house with beautiful bedrooms and extremely comfortable luxurious beds and bed linen. Very quiet!
It also has a delightful outdoor space for afternoon tea or drinks. We loved the glory vine in vivid red at present.
Just a short walk down to the town so the property is very well located.
- Hedy (10/5): Exceptional - Being able to take our little dog.
- Maria (7/5): Nice stay, but could be better - The location is fantastic as well as the overall appearance of the property The fly wire screens on the external doors need repairing.
The television didn't pick up all the Port Pirie stations, which is a problem if you like to watch sport.
The breakfast provisions were very little for the amount of people and the number of nights we stayed.
- Debra (10/5): Very pleasant and comfortable - The house was clean and comfortable. It was in a central location. Provided breakfast was plentiful. The house was well supplied with kitchen necessities, there were plenty of blankets and linen. The host was most accommodating and welcoming. Nothing
- Lauris (10/5): The icing on the cake of a lovely holiday in Clare Valley - The home is very comfortable and has a delightful outdoor living area. Breakfast supplies were so generous that we couldn't eat everything. It's a very short walk to Clare main street and major supermarket. We loved it. TV in one bedroom had access to Netflix, but not the TV in the main living room. Not a big problem
