Guest Reviews
- Elizabeth (7/5): Stay was very relaxing and comfortable. - Beautiful outlook, great location Very hard to warm up. Bedrooms need warming such as heaters. Bathroom needs towel rails.
Otherwise it was lovely.
- Nina (8/5): Loved the house with the view, Great amenities, comfy beds, - The view and all the surrounding places to explore. The spa was so nice to relax in The master bed rolled around on the wooden floor. When I got into bed the bed moved away from the wall. Not really a big deal tho.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Excellent location with magnificent view. Nothing
- Sam (10/5): - Views, coffee machine, jacuzzi and fire place. Amazing property enjoyed relaxing after a hike in the park. Bed was super comfortable. Everything was great
- Janene (9/5): Gorgeous view, comfy bed. - The view was amazing, bed was extremely comfortable.
Wifi worked well, everything was ready for us, fire was set, spa ready to hi and heater turned on for arrival. Couldn’t find a champagne stopper.

- Linda (10/5): Definately coming back - Everything. The view, scenery. The closeness to the Golf Club. That's why we are there. To support Chef Erin that works at the Gold Club. We had Lobsters and Oysters for dinner. And came back in a Cold Rainy night, jumping in the inviting Hot Tub. Amazing relaxing night. The stump at the top of the driveway that we had to avoid.
But it was worth it, as the Hot Tub was switched on waiting for us to jump in on a Cold cold night.
- Allan (8/5): Comfortable and relaxing. - Nice view, excellent main bedroom and comforting fire. Access steps unsafe for senior guests.
- Bec and George (10/5): Never wanted to - Everything!!! We had a magical clear night and stargazed. Bed was so comfortable... wood heater stunning. Nothing to complain about. Everything perfect.
- Anouk (10/5): Nice overnight stay in cosy little place . - Lovely little house with beautiful views and cosy wood fire 🔥
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kirsten (10/5): Exceptional - The views were amazing, Woodford stacked and ready to burn. Heater was on ready for us, the towels were so fluffy and bed super comfortable
- Judy (9/5): Home comforts in a stunning setting - Loved the location with its uplifting view over Dover harbour. The hot tub was great - all primed and ready to go, and totally private. A wonderful experience to look at the stars and take in the quiet.
Comfy bed, good shower, nice living/dining area. Coffee machine was great, and we really appreciated it having coffee beans in it all ready for use, as well as provision of milk, a few cooking basics and local apples. We cooked one night, and I would suggest adding a grater and wooden spoon to the kitchen. Otherwise, everything we needed was there, so this is a tiny detail.
- Katrina (7/5): Overall good - Fabulous view, comfortable couches, good shower Bed was very squashy soft, loo door grubby, pulled out weeds in path and trimmed bush off steps, I'm a gardener also the microwave is really hard to open
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Callum (10/5): Beautiful views and the hot tub is next level great!! - Just so lovely for a couple
- Tammy (9/5): Superb - The veiw from the house The pillows
Not great
- Michele (9/5): Fabulous - Location, facilities comfort and cleanliness. Spa on balcony fabulous Bed not very comfortable but that is likely just a personal preference
- Maria (9/5): Sweet get away - The whirlpool Internet didn’t work properly, not enough cutlery and dishes. No olive oil for cooking, only spray oil.
- Faith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Faith (10/5): Beautiful views and wonderful home with everything you need and more - Beautiful views and lovely home with everything you need! Nothing, it was absolutely perfect
- Kristie (9/5): awesome and relaxing - We definitely loved the jacuzzi very much....it was awesome...the house was clean and comfortable I'm a bit scared of spiders so the cob webs every where was a bit to get used too, didn't see any spiders 😳
- Nancy (10/5): Exceptional -
- S (10/5): Absolutely ideal weekend away, perfect place to relax - This is the second time we've stayed here and it's always a pleasure. The location is fantastic and the perfect place to relax. The jacuzzi is great and you can't fault having breakfast on the deck overlooking the water. Nothing..
- Sally (9/5): Superb -
- Barbara (9/5): Relaxing Romantic Retreat - We loved everything about this place especially the outdoor spa with a view of the inlet as well as the views of Adamsons Peak's snowy tops in the mornings. The fireplace was amazing as well as the little washing machine. Perfect set up for a comfortable & romantic few days away as a couple.
- Victoria (9/5): Stunning views, cosy and quiet. - It was quiet and had a beautiful view. Super cosy. Coffee machine is a heaven as there is nowhere to get a coffee half of the week. The house is stunning. And the view from the jacuzzi is gorgeous. I can imagine how wonderful it would be if the Aurora Australis was out. My fault for not looking into the area but there are really limited amenities. I was there for my birthday weekend and there was nothing open. The super steep driveway was also uncomfortable and not enough room up top to turn. But these are personal issues. The house itself is stunning.
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalie (10/5): Perfect holiday house - Clean and cozy. Would love to come back in warmer weather to use the jacuzzi. The Little touches go a long way.
- Yu (7/5): Good - Shower pressure was low and not maintaining warm temp
- Wendy (10/5): A small but comforable house. - Not a big place but has a lot to offer. The spa was an added bonus. Huge bathroom. Great bbq and slow combustion fire with plenty of wood provided. The bed in the main room wasn’t very comfortable when my partner turned it made a terrible noise. The pump from the spa needs to be adjusted so it sleeps from about 11pm to 8am as it is quite noisy. Some more baking trays would be useful in the kitchen. As we were travelling with a friend another double lounge would have been better than the single chairs.
- Gabrielle (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and view - stunning!
- Andrew (8/5): Great outdoor spa, water views & fireplace - Great fireplace, outdoor heated spa and views. N/A
- Thompson (9/5): Superb - Beautiful location. Bed was a bite to firm.
- Ryan (10/5): Fantastic - we'll be back -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (10/5): The feeling of openness and the sense of quiet luxury.. we loved the hot tub! - The feeling of openness and the sense of quiet luxury.. we loved the hot tub! Driveway took a little getting used to but was serviceable
- Maree (7/5): Good -
- Marianne (10/5): Comfortable and well equipped. - The house in general. Comfortable, lovely view, good spa. Well thought out with everything you'd need for a comfortable short or long term stay. Lovely and quiet, good heating and cooling. Plenty of kitchen appliances, cutlery, glasses and crockery etc. Good coffee machine with pods supplied. Comfortable furniture. Free WiFi. Loved the tiny wall mounted washing machine for smalls! Having to constantly close the blinds in the bedroom. It felt like people could see in, especially at night. Perhaps a sheer would have helped. Don't think the windows are tinted.
The 2 beds that made up the double were on casters, so they moved about when turning over, often disturbing sleep for partner.
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect Nothing at all was great
- Lisa (9/5): Superb - Loved the location and views and the hot tub was amazing! The kitchen wasn’t as well equipped as I’d like
- Michael (8/5): Very good - The location and view is fantastic. The place itself is really nice too with good facilities. Nothing
- Richardson (9/5): Great view. Quiet. Wood fire and spa are excellent additions. A perfect size for four people. -
- Withanage (10/5): Exceptional - Spa, view, facilities . All of them were awesome None
- Kristie (10/5): One of the best places we stayed on this trip! - The view, the jacuzzi, southern lights, fireplace. A dryer would have been nice but worth the sacrifice of not having one.
- Mary (8/5): Very good -
- Kerryn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Miing (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brenton (10/5): Perfect location! Amazing views. - Incredible views of the bay from the balcony and lounge. We were surprised to find a couple of added extras on arrival. The jacuzzi was an added bonus even on a rainy winters day. Will be back when next in Dover. .
- Natalie (9/5): fantastic - everything it would be great if the soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers were labeled as we didn’t know which was which.
- Edward (7/5): House really beautiful - We are elderly with my husband using a walker
Not easy to access the property no rails up the stairs
Driveway way to steep we’re not told of this
- Anja (9/5): Beautiful view from the jacuzzi - beautiful view of the bay. To sit in the jacuzzi with that view was just amazing. The fireplace was super cozy and the house was really nice with lots of space. the only thing was, that bigger pots are definitely missing.
- Steve (10/5): Wares at the Beach House - The Beach House had amazing views, even from the toilet. The spa was lovely as was the wood fire on a cold night. We were within walking distance of town and the RSL. Nothing
- Ruth (10/5): A great place to stay and explore more of Tasmania's beauty. Well equiped and everything you need. - The location was amazing overlooking the water and the boats. The house was well equiped with everything you needed and a lovely spa on the deck over looking the view.
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing view, loved the jacuzzi. Comfortable and homely. Great shower! Nice touch leaving complementary chocolate and wine for guests.
- David (10/5): Highly recommended- we would love to return. - The location is outstanding - a quiet street across from the water. The elevated location gives a stunning view from the verandah and the hot tub. The local amenities are a short drive or a comfortable walk away. The house is very clean and tidy and we were given complimentary sparkling wine and chocolates. Nothing!
- Dermot (9/5): Superb - Location is excellent, views are spectacular
- Lane (8/5): Very good -
- Christopher (8/5): The Beach House is a magucal - The view is stupendous, and the woodfire and hot tub were real pleasures. The driveway is dauntingly steep and narrow. There is capacity to fix this by using parking on the adjoining property.
- Donald (5/5): didn’t use jacuzzi (were planning to but had to turn off as it was running non stop during night & we couldn’t sleep - view steep drive,
- Amy (10/5): Perfect! - This location was absolutely perfect. From the moment we walked we knew this was a fantastic place to stay. We walked in to a warm house, quiet music playing in the background and the jacuzzi was already on and ready to go! The house was clean, comfortable and cosy. Will definitely be back. Nothing, we felt very well looked after!
- Kara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Swechha (9/5): Relaxing Staycation - amazing views and what is there not to love about the hot tub ! the bed was super comfy and the wood fire kept us very warm. went to Geeveston to get coffee and food. the kitchen was good. the only thing is that the place needs more updated kitchen things like there was nothing to wipe down with/no paper towel. no oven mitts. keep in mind not the best place to cook difficult meals.
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional -
