- Sophy (10/5): Cosy cottage with huge land and fire pit. Great base to explore the region. - This cabin has everything you needed. Cosy interior with heaps of land for kids/dogs to play to run around outside. The fireplace inside and fire pit outside are lovely. Good location to explore what the region has to offer, national parks and wineries. Brook is friendly and communicative, giving us a lot of good recommendations for eat and drink. Wildlife showing up around the land is a bonus. Book it if you want a relaxing weekend to energise yourself from busy city life and to connect with your loved ones and the nature.
- Tina (8/5): Pleasant stay, easy with child and dog. - lovely location. was a tad dirty. shower and bathroom sink hadn't been cleaned.
- Marian (9/5): The barn was rustic and had all the basic needs for our requirements. - We got value for money ++.
The barn was well set up and had all the facilities required for a couple of nights in the bush.
Instructions for finding the location were clear however we still turned into Robertson road on the way back in the dark. I would have liked to see some reflectors strategically placed on the star pickets and trees along the driveway.
We had good value for money. I would like to stay again.
- Marc (10/5): - Such a wonderful spot to disconnect and unwind. The location was simply amazing. The photos don't do it justice Everthing was great
- Jessica (10/5): Peaceful country retreat, perfect for switching off and unwinding! - The property was cosy, comfy and peaceful. There was so much to see and do at the property and it was extremely well equipped. The location was secluded yet super close to everything the local area had to offer. We will be back!
- Carmen (10/5): - The Hooters Hut was clean, spacious, well equipped and comfortable. This cabin is secluded from the neighbours giving privacy. The bush environment and fire pit was perfect for our relaxing weekend getaway. We enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it! Nothing.
- Robert (10/5): We loved the peace and quite and it gave us want we wanted which was to relax and slow down. - Loved the location and the absolute serenity of the hut….it was amazing Being tall we found the bathroom sink very low and hard to use due to it height

- Emilia (10/5): Excellent! A special place away from crowds, traffic and technology to reconnect with nature in pure pace, surrounded by - We had a wonderful experience spending 3 nights in the beautiful hooters cottage which was clean, cosy and comfortable. There is a heater in the bathroom that was much appreciated :).
The peppery had everything we needed, cut firewood ready to go for the pot belly fire, wood from around the property ready for the outdoor fire pit. There were plenty of board games to keep us entertained on the rainy nights and tea and coffee provided. Lovely decor throughout!
Brooke and Brendan thought of everything and it was easy to forget our lives back home as this quickly became the new norm, starting the fire, watching the roos graze around the cottage and listening to the birds sing. It was just so peaceful.
Full kitchen so you don’t need to bring anything except for your food and condiments.
A walk around the property is a must. The location is also fantastic and a local wine tour picked us up from there. Was easy to get around and experience the region from the property but also secluded enough that you really feel that pace and quiet.
Thank you both for sharing this with us. We would love to return one day and would highly recommend. Cheers, Emilia and Darren That we had to leave!

- PnK (9/5): Disconnect Weekend - The cabin, the decor and the layout was very comforting and homely made you relax immediately. Fireplace and the ton of wood supplied. Kitchen appliances and crockery etc well thought out nothing required. Our furbaby was welcomed and was able to enjoy the space with us he loved the great open space to run and enjoy the surrounding bush. The quietness was pure bliss. Bed was a little uncomfortable and not very stable and moved when we moved. Not it wad a queen felt more like a double bed. Had to clean the airfryer from the previous occupants. Lost my drone in the trees which was more piloting error lol.

- Kristin (5/5): Passable - The location was nice and peaceful The photos of the barn were not the ones on the site, there was suppose to be a couple of bottles of water left for us both and we didn't receive them.there was no iron, the place was a little neglected.
- Jenna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stefanowicz (8/5): Excellent - The rustic and cosy atmosphere. No coffee pod machine. The website was a little confusing re: what cabin had what facilities.
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chrissa (9/5): Turn off the gadgets and listen to beauty of the Australian countryside - A world away from city life and a real escape to the country
- Hoyle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Misty (10/5): Perfect - Beautiful, quiet, lots of space for adventuring and to watch the birds and wallabies.
- Bek (9/5): Perfect if you want silence, comfort, nature and an unplugged stay. - The cabin is fifteen minutes out of town. A perfect sanctuary. Silence. It has a rustic feel with comfortable lounges and a great bed. It was simple with soft furnishings. The bathroom is basic but has all you need. A pleasure to stay in.
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb -
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Skye (10/5): I’d go back for another three weeks in a heartbeat, it’s good for the soul - Loved it totally ❤️ beautiful scenic little cottage with character and charm, wildlife everywhere, walks throughout the property, no noise, only 15min drive to Stanthorpe’s
Up the rd from Stanthorpe Cheeses, we took our own food and didn’t leave much for three days.
- Sharon (8/5): Very good - Situated a 10 minute drive from Stanthorpe in a stunning eucalypt forrest, this well appointed rustic cabin is Australiana and relaxation plus. The wildlife was great, the biggest Kangaroos I've seen in sometime, grazing on the large grassed area around the cabin at dawn and dusk. The outdoor fire pit was also awesome. Brooke was a great communicator and has obviously put some love into this lovely cabin, recommend.
- Lorena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lorin (8/5): Loved our stay, it was peaceful and private - Great location, our dogs loved it, it was very peaceful and a much needed getaway, very private, easy check in and good directions supplied. The only problem we had was going there during a mini heatwave and the hut was a bit hot with one oscillating fan but once it cooled down it was lovely
- Rob&narissa (9/5): Wonderfull - Local, the isolation, the wildlife
- Chantal (9/5): Great location to all the sights in Stanthorpe, and nice and peaceful and quite with great star gazi - Great location to all the sights in Stanthorpe, and nice and peaceful and quite with great star gazing and camp-fire.
- Richard (9/5): Peaceful, relaxed and cozy. - Very private and relaxed. Comfortable for a couple and small dog. Plenty of land/bush outside to wander in. Took a little bit to find the way in but once I read the email
Properly was clearer about what the gate.

- Bronwen (8/5): Very good -
- Dave (8/5): Very good - Great scenery, fire place 🔥, the facilities. All great.
- Mario (7/5): The place was nice to spend time with family. Except for some details (missing bed clothes, towels & uncleaned stove - It was clean and well presented We had to take our own towels and sheets.
- Patrick (9/5): Very good stay, lovely location -
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (9/5): A beautiful and secluded property with a toasty fireplace. -
- Kristina (10/5): The perfect getaway! - I can not rate this stay highly enough. We absolutely loved the location, close enough to Stanthorpe, but far enough away to be completely peaceful. The cabin has got everything you might need and was very comfortable and clean. Firewood was cut and ready to use. The property the cabin sits on is huge, and we took our dog on some great walks around the property. We all loved it! It is self check in so we didn't need to see anyone but we had great instructions from Brooke and I'm sure had we needed them Brendan or Brooke would have been easy to get into contact with. We will definitely be booking this cabin again in the future. Thanks for providing such a great experience, Brendan and Brooke. I have nothing to add here. We loved everything.
- Jade (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Minett (10/5): Fantastic little spot and the weather perfect distance route of town. Great facilities and comfortable bed. - Great little cabin with a nice indoor and outdoor fireplace. Super comfortable bed and more cooking facilities than mention in the eagles nest cabin. Would definitely be back 👍
- Portbury (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jen (10/5): A Hidden Gem - We loved everything about this hidden gem that lives up to its name Sanctuary. It was a lovely relaxing retreat after travelling all day. The room was so cosy and comfy. Everything needed was provided. The outdoor area was very spacious and yet very private. Would certainly stay again. N/A
- Jakes (8/5): Very good - Great spot. Hosts were excellent.
- Barbara (1/5): No maintenance on the property at all. - Surrounded by nature, kangaroos, birds, butterflies. The house was dirty, there were pieces of glass on the floor from previous guest.
The kitchen bench was dirty, with coffee stains.
Fridge very dirty, black marks on the handles, inside very dirty.
All house dirty in general.
DVD player is broken
All remotes batteries were dead.
Lights were not working on the bedroom.
Little bats are living on the outside timber wall, so the main door is full of their droppings.
- Simon (10/5): Simple peace and quiet. - It was very clean, spacious and warm once the fire got going. Kitchen is well serviced. The location is convenient to both Stanthorpe and Warwick and close to the awesome wineries, farms, brewery, local honey and cheese factory. The BBQ probably needs an upgrade.
- Rodrick (6/5): It was OK but ruined by a vehicle breakdown which forced family to spend all day in the cabin. - I liked the secluded location. TV Remote didn't work and DVD player wouldn't work.
Lights in main bedroom didn't.
Cabin was hot during the day - no fans or AC.
- Samantha (9/5): Superb -
- Beth (10/5): Perfect family trip - It was so peaceful.
The stars!
Recommendations from the owners were great! NA
- Kris (8/5): We love the place would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway in the bush. - This is the 2nd time we've stayed in hooters and love the peace and serenity. The cabin is quaint with a few modern conveniences. Very comfortably
- Roslyn (8/5): Very good -
- Sneh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katie (9/5): Superb -
- Leanne (8/5): Thoroughly enjoyed the surrounds. Each cabin was very private. Great option for a family gathering - Location for us was excellent, quiet and secluded, beautiful natural surroundings, good for exploring.
- Hudson (2/5): Very poor -
- Fiona (7/5): Cosy and warm winter getaway close to Wineries - Beautiful private location surrounded by towering gumtrees. Fantastic fireplace with plenty of wood provided. Lovely front veranda and firepit. Comfy beds and quilts. Steaming hot water. Kitchen well fitted out. Extras like DVDs, books, games, CDs, and pantry basics provided. This is not a high end cottage but an effort has been made to make it feel homey and warm. Comfy couches. Had no trouble finding the place if follow owners instructions - don't follow Google Maps or GPS. Needs a bit of maintenance and a good clean. Felt like it had been closed up for a while and was dusty. No exhaust in the toilet.
- Janelle (8/5): Peace and serenity - The peace and serenity of the cottage and surrounds was just what we were looking for. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped for our 5 night stay.
The cottage was well located to Stanthorpe and the wineries and we appreciated being able to bring our small dog with us. I thought for the price being changed, the sheets and towels should have been included. The cottage was comfortable, however it does require some basic maintenance, repairs and attention to the cleaning .
Additional information in the listing to indicate which cottage is being booked at the time would be helpful. I thought I was booking the cottage with the dam, but ended up in the other one, which was OK, because it was also nice.
- Imelfort (6/5): Pleasant - The fireplace was a saviour in the cold. The bed was comfy. The place could do with a good clean. There was rat poo all throughout the place. I understand we are staying in the bush, but it really could have been cleaner.
- Anonymous (7/5): A lovely quaint cottage to stay in. - The location was peaceful tho hard to get to. They should state on their ad that no linen is supplied. They should also state that the driveway to the property is dirt and a lowered car would find it difficult.
- Neilsen (8/5): Very good - The location was superb! The coffee machine did not work as the filters from the coffee handle were missing
- Diana (10/5): I've already booked to go back - The serenity....the outside fire pit....the serenity.....comfortable beds and a charming clean cabin......perfect front porch.....the serenity.....the STARS!!!! That we had to leave
- Rachael (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (9/5): Quiet but close! - Close to everything but still isolated and private. Very quiet No paper to start fire. Outside fire pit needed maintenance. Too full of ash etc.
- Orn (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (7/5): good stay, a bit expensive for what it is - open spaces, great for kids. enjoyed the fire pit
- Brittany (9/5): A perfect cozy getaway from it all spot! - So cozy and comfortable! Loved the privacy and space. Was the perfect country getaway for us city folks! We enjoyed both the fireplace and fire pit. We will definitely come back!!! Think maybe the mattress may need to the flipped, we were rolling into each other haha
