Loved the outdoor area, with the spa, bbq, seating etc; and the cubby was a great hit with the kids! Would be good to have some plastic ‘glassware’ for use around the spa and bbq area, esp for the kids.

As discussed during the take ove place, house owner explain to me everything. two sets of keys for the house, access to the apartment, the main entrance of the building, and the garage door Everything, normally when i travel and i have to think. Very nice touch Was close to town, shopping centre nearby Spa was hot and easy to use The only thing I could fault was there was only one bathroom but it wasn't a dealbreaker. would definitely book the house again

It is a unique and quirky property with so many little trinkets and touches that keep popping up during the stay. Our accomodation made our whole weekend.

• Tara (10/5): Beautiful, clean property with awesome extras - The property was absolutely beautiful. The host, Michael has done a fantastic job with the place. The little touches were great (music and lighting in the hot tub area, voice activated music inside, computer with recommendation for exploring Tasmania). There were also complimentary goodies. The house was the cleanest property we have ever stayed in (we do a lot of holidaying) and it smelt so clean. Honestly, I’ve stayed in some high value places over the years and this property exceeded them all. It’s the little things that count and doesn’t go unnoticed. Will definitely be back.

Location was also excellent, within walking distance to a number of restaurants and only 5 - 10 minutes into Hobart. Good shower and also a spa in the bathroom. Hot Tub in the outdoor area. Host is friendly and informative. Awesome breakfast in the cafe at the end of the street. Huge meals and very well priced.

• Yingshan (10/5): An enjoyable stay - We enjoyed our stay very much! The house is very clean and well equipped. The host gave us a clear house tour when we reached the place. He is very approachable and ensure that all our needs are met. There are even outdoor play areas and toys for the kids to play. Highly recommend this place! The place has only 1 bathroom and can accomodate only 1 car in the parking space in the house. This may cause inconvenience when travelling with many people.

The property was so clean and had all the extras to make our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Michael was an unbelievable host meeting us on arrival and giving us a tour of the property and was available if we required anything. Overall a great place to stay especially with a family, in our kids words ‘the best place we have ever stayed’! Would highly recommend this property when staying in Hobart.

We are a family of 5 with an adult child, teenager and primary going child and they all loved our stay! We loved the hot tub - the water was nice and warm, ready for our arrival! Our host was very welcoming, warm and accommodating. He was readily available to assist us as needed. Will definitely be staying here again when we come back to Hobart - and will be recommending to any family or friends visiting Hobart too! Can not think of anything at all!

• Kristy (10/5): Awesome family stay - Bakers retreat is a must if you are visiting Hobart! The host was lovely , very informative on places to eat drink etc . Just little touches are the best , a computer to research places to go , a nice selection of fresh bread and sweets on arrival ( which was welcomed after a long journey ) The beds are extremely comfortable so anyone would be well rested of a morning ready to start the day ! Excellent location .. very quiet but also near all the localities , supermarkets and restaurants that are on offer . Bathrooms also exceptional very spacious what can I say . . If I am ever to visit Hobart again I would very much like to come back to bakers retreat ! Thankyou for a good stay

The property was absolutely outstanding, fully equipped even with things you wouldn't think about on a holiday. Easy access to Hobart as well. Absolutely loved the property, as did my daughter (20 months) and partner. Honestly cannot rave about the property nor Michael (The host) enough. That we didn't stay longer or that it isn't my house haha.
• Teal (10/5): Had the most wonderful weekend away all thanks to this gorgeous house! - From the very first conversation Michael was just lovely and friendly to deal with! The house is just beautiful, it leaves you wanting for nothing. In a nearly 100 year old house you'd think there would be some things needing maintenance but Michael has gone above and beyond to have the place in perfect order. He had even come in hours before and heated the house and hot tub ready for our arrival! All the rooms have their own unique modern furniture pieces with a nod to the past. The lounge is warm and inviting, the kitchen is in perfect condition with some pastries provided, milk, coffee, tea, etc. The hot tub, BBQ and outdoor area were just lovely and I can't recommend this house enough. Our family consists of 2 parents, 2 adult teenage children and a 9 year old. This house catered to each of us perfectly. Honestly, I'm usually very fussy but this place was perfect!

Cosy and comfortable, good location, well equipped, very clean and the welcome touches all added to the positive experience of our stay. The host's communication and responsiveness to questions was immediate and helpful. A couple of minor things, the shower recess leaked a little, and the main bed mattress was a little sunken and a tad too soft for our liking.
• Rachel (10/5): Relaxing family stay - Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Baker's Retreat. It was so comfortable that the kids didn't want to leave each morning to explore southern Tasmania. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner and the BBQ area outside was perfect for our evening meals. We all enjoyed the jacuzzi at night before bed. The computer in the living room was helpful for googling places to go. The home is tastefully decorated and feels incredibly cozy. The property owner, Michael, was very helpful and welcoming. The home is just down the street from a fantastic French patisserie and Kmart/Coles are just a five minute ride down the road for picking up any necessities. All in all, this is a perfect place to make your home base in Hobart! Everything was great.

Travelled with 2 small children and Bakers Retreat had EVERYTHING we needed (the cubby house with a treasure chest with real treasures inside… such a hit for our 3 year old!) In all seriousness, whether a short or long stay this property has it all. The detail and the extras were amazing, plus as a bonus really comfortable beds and a hot spa!! Husband already talking about coming back and staying in same property.. that never happens! Really impressed, thank you.

We were visiting from New Zealand and found the property just outstanding. Loved the spa pool and the childrens play area, the kids loved it. The lighting outside by the deck with the lovely table and chairs was just the cherry on top. The home inside is beautifully and tastefully furnished. Just loved this property. Shopping centre down the road, handy location to town and to the highway leading to the airport. The furnishings and fittings inside the house are just wonderful. Cannot fault anything about the property at all.
