• Emma (7/5): Chaleureux - La maison est très jolie et cosy, propice aux rencontres et moments partagés. On se sent comme à la maison avec les trois chats et l’accueil de la propriétaire :) Le café est gentiment offert le matin. Les équipements et la vaisselle en cuisine sont insuffisants pour le nombre de pensionnaires. Aucune « base » n’est mise à disposition (huiles, épices…). Pour les dortoirs du haut un seul toilette et une seule douche, ce qui est insuffisant.

• Joya (10/5): - Great location and the staff was very lovely and kind. Met a lot of nice people and the female dorm I stayed in was very spacious. Kitchen has all the facilities it needs. Only comment is that people in my room kept turning off the AC at night in January heat. It would be better if the staff would turn it on in the evening and then just take away the remote from the room so they are in charge of the temperature. It was very warm at night due to my roommates sadly.

• Klaudia (10/5): - Very clean and fresh rooms that were cleaned daily. The location is great — only about a 5-minute walk to the town. Everyone working there was incredibly friendly, and the surroundings were so cozy with lots of palm trees and greenery. A special plus for the super cute cats that were always hanging out and chilling with the guests. The only downside for me was the open bed setup. I personally prefer a bit more privacy, so that made it slightly less comfortable for sleeping

• Luca (10/5): - Struttura a pochi passi dal porto leggermente decentrato, quindi lontano dal caos delle vie principali. Proprietari gentilissimi e accoglienza super!!!
• Pamela (9/5): Calidez - La calidez con la que me recibieron, Ángela muy atenta y servicial. La habitación tiene aire, ventilador, el baño completo con estantes. Ganchos por todos lados para colgar tus cosas. Te dejan shampoo y jabón, hacen la cama. Hay espacios para estar por todos lados. Lo único que agregaría es una cortina oscura en la habitación porque entra claridad. Los colchones hacen un poco de ruido, por mí parte yo uso taponcitos así que no fue un problema para mí. No tuve suerte con las compañeras de cuarto, me tocó con dos chicas que eran amigas y creían que estaban en un cuarto privado, apagaban el aire y el ventilador, entraban y salían a horas de la madrugada y hacían ruido y luz. Pero eso lamentablemente te puede pasar en cualquier hostel. Con respecto a la ubicación si bien es cerca con valijas es aconsejable buscar alguien que te las lleve, yo no sabía que existía ese servicio y a la ida la pasé mal. A la vuelta Ángela muy atenta me consiguió un ayudante.

• Verboven (8/5): - Het personeel is heel vriendelijk, de locatie is een beetje verstopt maar dat maakt wel dat het extra rustig is hier. Hier lopen heel schattige katjes rond waarvan 2 heel graag komen knuffelen. Ik heb hier een geweldige tijd gehad met de paar andere mensen die in dit hostel verbleven. De muren van de kamers boven zijn heel heel dun, ik slaap meestal tot 10 uur en vanaf 8 begon er meestal iemand beneden te babbelen dus werd ik al wakker met een beetje te wijnig slaap
• Mayra (10/5): En nuestra corta estadia, nos sentimos muy a gusto con el lugar, Antonio y Angela siempre amables, simpaticos con nosotr - Es un espacio comodo, con todo lo necesario para una gran estadia. A diferencia de otros hosteles te dan toalla, jabon y shampoo. Detalles como adaptadores para diferentes enchufes. La cocina equipada. Los espacios comunes hermosos. Colchones comodos. Impecable la limpieza. No hay algo que no nos haya gustado.

• Serena (9/5): Dias de tranquilidade com o som da natureza - Adorei minha estadia! Tive a sorte de ficar com o quarto compartilhado só para mim, tudo estava sempre muito limpo e organizado. A recepção da dona Ângela, das suas quatro gatinhas fofas e do Antônio foi super atenciosa, todo mundo muito gentil e de ótima companhia. Também gostei muito da proposta ecológica do lugar e do respeito pelo silêncio e pela tranquilidade dos hóspedes. Um lugar excelente em termos de custo-benefício, recomendo de coração! 💛🐾🌿

• GEMMA (8/5): Good island stay - The property is in a great location, 5 mins walk from all the restaurants and shops but lovely and quiet. The room / common areas are exactly as described. Hosts are welcoming and helpful. On a couple of my nights stay I had the dorm to myself which was nice. They have lots of friendly cats! Perhaps a cover on window would help with bugs / mosquitos

• Tatiana (8/5): Gostoso, mas não achei que vale o preço de hostel. - A equipe é simpática e prestativa, barulho do rio que passa ao lado é muito gostoso e a cama do quarto coletivo possui cortina. O preço da cama em quarto coletivo no hostel é mais elevado que outros no Abraão e ainda tem algumas diferenças que o encarecem mais: o café da manhã não é incluído e há um custo extra de 25 reais para guardar mochila/mala por poucas horas, do check-out até a hora do barco (o que nos hostels que já fiquei e que amigos na mesma data ficaram não foi cobrado). Também achei que a parede é fina de forma que eu ouvia tudo do quarto coletivo ao lado, que o fato de só ter uma cabine de chuveiro e uma cabine de vaso sanitário pode ser desconfortável em momentos de urgência de banheiro ou passeios (no caso do meu quarto, ainda tinha o agravante de ser no andar abaixo do quarto coletivo com uma escada um pouco íngrime) e o acesso ao hostel poderia ser melhor iluminado (fica uma sugestão para que o hostel e a hospedagem ao lado se juntem e coloquem uma luz naquele beco (as mulheres, especialmente, agradecem).

• Ryan (10/5): Like staying in a treehouse in nature, close to downtown and all shops. - Everything here was so wonderful, it is half indoors and half outdoors and very pleasant. Great showers, places to hang towels and wet clothes outside, small but functional kitchen, so quiet and peaceful at nighttime and yet still very close to everything in the downtown area. The family is very friendly, the common areas are comfortable and have helpful books for planning trips around the island. There is a water filter so you never have to worry about drinking water or making too much plastic bottle waste. The beds have privacy curtains, the fan for nighttime is strong and comfortable, the lockers all work and everything is very safe here. If it rains a lot ( for a long time ) then obviously it will be more difficult to dry your clothes out on the line. The rooms do not have air conditioning, they really don't need it, it's comfortable at night, but you do need some mosquito repellent because some mosquitos come in the window at night. The fan is very good but yes it can also be a bit noisy. Overall still a really, really good place on Ilha Grande!

• Alisa (10/5): Exceptional - What makes this hostel truly special is how friendly, helpful, and smiley 😊 Angela and Jose Antonio are! Angela kindly helped me book boat tours and my transfer back to Rio. It's a very peaceful location with only the sound of birds singing during the day and crickets at night. Also, it is kept very clean! The only downside for me was that there weren't many other guests to socialize with.
• Ffion (9/5): The perfect place for a quiet but sociable stay in Ilha Grande. - - Lovely and super helpful host! She goes out of her way to help you. - Everything is cleaned regularly. - Coffee in the morning. - The cats :) It’s quite basic - definitely feels like a handmade jungle lodge, almost like you’re staying outdoors. If you don’t mind this then it’s great.

Because there was no breakfast people were in their accommodation and didn’t really mix. The Silencio signs were a bit off putting so yes maybe not for a young audience

• Tom (6/5): Pleasant - Good amount of space and outdoor seating. Good communication from the host. Location is not ideal especially as it is currently next to a building site and a fairly big one. It was noisy all through day and the workmen could see into our outside seating area. The property itself was pretty dated and even in the day the room was dark and felt a little damp.
