Guest Reviews
- Nathalie (10/5): - Tolle Lage im Regenwald, gute Ausstattung sauber hat die Erwartungen mehr als erfüllt. Wegbeschreibung und Beschilderung könnte besser sein.
- Sarah (10/5): Gorgeous views across the daintree - Fantastic views across the daintree! Comfortable beds and well equipped for BBQs. Great communication from Dean. It is a very steep hill up to the property which was a challenge with a 2WD - but we knew this when booking the property and worth the 10/10 views!
- Roxanne (10/5): -
- Amit (10/5): Breathtaking view in the heart of the rainforest - Staying at Yurara was an outstanding experience.
The house is beautiful, comfortable and well-equipped, and the location is simply breathtaking!
Niets
- Tinez1976 (8/5): - Locatie, huis, omgeving Eigenlijk 4wd nodig om huis te bereiken.
- Jordan (10/5): -
- Daniel (10/5): Incredible place - Absolutely incredible
- Grace (10/5): Beautiful timber home with Daintree vista - Beautiful outlook over the Daintree and to see the sunrise and bits of ocean! Lovely custom timber home. Property to yourself. Dean had many additional items in the house to help you feel at home and function well - such as foil, wine glasses, tea and coffee and sugar, paper towel and tongs for the BBQ, other cleaning items, soap, games. There was even Netflix and Disney+ logged in and ready to go! Nothing! Everything was perfect.
- James (10/5): One of the most amazing places we’ve stayed in the middle of the Daintree. A stay we will always remember!! - The house is in an amazing location in the middle of the rainforest and with views to the sea. Open plan and spacious with an outdoor jacuzzi it is other worldly. Just sit outside at night and listen to the sounds of the forest. Nothing, but would recommend you take the advice on the 4WD or AWD car to get up the road. It is steep.
- Kevin (10/5): Exquisite - Wonderful location nestled in amongst the canopies of the fan palms and lush Daintree Rainforest. This really was a treat. Everything about this property is exquisite. Drinking champagne in the spa bath overlooking the rainforest as the night sky drew in was an absolute highlight. Highly recommended. Accessing the property via a very steep hill was a little fraught and left us feeling a little rattled on our arrival! Having a four-wheel drive might have helped (our fault for not reading the booking instructions correctly)!
- Sonja (8/5): Very good -
- Wales (10/5): Exceptional - Dean has built a beautiful home out in the rainforest. It was so peaceful and you really felt like you were on holiday and away from everything.
- Matthew (10/5): A Great Nature Escape - Beautiful location and well equipped. Dean was attentive.
It’s in the rainforest and you get everything that comes with that. The driveway is steep but manageable.
- Lucille (10/5): An absolutely stunning accommodation with an incredible view, fully equipped and a super nice host - 10/10 recommend - The house itself was absolutely stunning. It had everything and more that we could wish for and in the end we wished that we could have stayed longer! The view is incredible and Dean is super nice and helpful! Huge respect to Dean for building this incredible house! Make sure you have 4x4 to get up the hill to the accommodation! We didn’t but Dean was super nice and gave us and our luggage a lift up :)
- Catherine (7/5): Incredible views and unique stay. For us, hard to access. - Incredible views and unique stay. Sunrises were particularly special. Our rental car couldn’t handle the very steep unpaved hill so we had to park the car and walk up (about 15 mins) which was a pain not having our luggage. The place could also be slightly cleaner there was someone else’s hair in the shower for example.
- Kim (10/5): Absolutely fantastic - Amazing views, beautifully equipped, hammock and spa bath all fantastic. Would 100% stay again. Driveway a little tricky to navigate, but fine if you take a bit of a run up.
- Caroline (9/5): Beautiful property but ensure you have a vehicle that is 4wd, or higher built to traverse drive up. - House is extremely well built and has amazing views! Very clean and Dean was wonderful with offering assistance with driving my parents up to the property (due to them being fearful of previous drive up). Lovely little touches in the home which made our stay so much better. The road up is very difficult to traverse. It has a number of high rubber 'panels' that stretch from one side of the road to the other. Medium size car and we fish-tailed multiple times and car suspension took a hit. Read rtn ferry ticket free but we couldn't find it (listed as being in the back of house guide)- found out later it was on the fridge. Pity we didn't know as this cost us $.
- Hermle (10/5): We loved everything about our stay at Yurara and wished we could have stayed longer!!! - The house is located on a hill overlooking the rainforest which was magical! The rooms are nicely decorated and the kitchen was well equipped. Sadly, we didn't get to use the spa on the balcony overlooking the rainforest but that was due to the cooler weather and rain when we were there. We would have loved to splash in the tub! Another great advantage is the somewhat isolated location - there are no neighbours which we totally enjoyed!
Dean an his wife even provided a ferry ticket back across the Daintree River. That was an especially nice surprise and was greatly appreciated! It's not a big deal but the access road to the house is very steep and we had to take a run-up with our rental car to make it uphill. However, once we had figured out how to go up the mountain that wasn't a problem at all. And it's definitely worth the trip uphill because you get a perfect view as a reward!
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional - -Outstanding view on the forest and ocean

- Katharina (10/5): Amazing Accomondation in the heart of the oldest rainforest! - This is a stunning Accomondation!
Right in the heart of the oldest rainforest in the world up on a hill overlooking the forest and even being able to see the ocean. It’s off grid and self sufficient which is amazing. We will definitely come back, just stunning. Host is lovely and looked well after us, even at late hours. Perfect base when tripping around the cape.
- Sharon (8/5): Very good - Gorgeous pole home overlooking the rainforest and reef. Inspiring and relaxing setting. The driveway is very steep and unsealed. Not suitable for small cars
- Lindy (10/5): Exceptional -
