• Carina (10/5): - We had a lovely stay at Fareview. The location at Emu bay is amazing. There were koalas in the trees in front of the house every night. The house is as pictures show. It is not new, but well maintained. There is a big kitchen and a grill and a lovely veranda. We loved our stay here. Christine is friendly and reached out before we arrived to make sure our arrival was good. We highly recommend staying here.
• Juniper (9/5): - The location was excellent, with views of the ocean. We could hear the fairy pengins in the evening. And when we went down to the shore we were able to see them. The house was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay again.
• Leona (9/5): Will be back - awesome place to stay. - location perfect - view perfect - extra condiments a big surprise - host thought of everything to include extra rugs for comfort and warmth thank you. A big thank you for allowing our family pet to stay she as well loved the beach walks. there was not much to dislike - biggest dislike was the mattress on the queen bed it was too soft especially the edges. For our dog a gate in the back yard because she had to be on a lead all the time. As we said not much to dislike about Fairview Beach house.
• Eva (9/5): Großes Haus in super Lage. - Super Lage, komfortabel, viel Platz. Alles da was man braucht. Der Reinigungsservice scheint nicht gründlich zu arbeiten. An manchen Stellen (zB auf dem Kühlschrank war eine dicke Staubschicht. Das Besteck und Geschirr waren auch nicht ganz sauber. Vor der Benützung mussten wir alles waschen.

• McGuirk (10/5): Perfect place for peaceful break - Location is peaceful and scenic, with the koalas living in the front gums an added bonus. I could have spent all my time on the balcony enjoying the view and tranquility. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay - plenty of cutlery, crockery and pantry basics, books, games and a smart TV.
• Debbie (9/5): A comfortable, homey bungalow with fabulous views, koalas in the front garden and kangaroos in the back! - A beautifully located bungalow with comfy beds, a well appointed kitchen, and a huge deck. There were koalas in the front garden and kangaroos out the back! Emu Bay was beautiful with a lovely local cafe and this is a good location for visiting the rest of the island. Getting in was hard, the front door lock needs fixing

• Caron (10/5): Kangaroo Island is paradise for nature lovers full of natural wonders, wildlife and beauty. At Fairview Beach House our - The property is superbly located overlooking Emu Bay and within walking distance of the beach. Quiet location with nature on the doorstep. Koalas in the front yard and penguins coming ashore after sunset at the bay. The house is well set up with everything you need. Nothing to report, we were happy and satisfied.
• David (9/5): Will be returning again - Well located, clean and very comfortable. Couches and mattresses very comfortable. Shower was hot and strong. Great accom for a family or group of friends. Whilst we didn’t use the decking or BBQ due to cooler conditions, it provides a great amenity to unwind on a warmer evening with a large table and views of the bay. Would happily stay again. Beautiful location with only a short 15min drive to pubs, petrol, groceries etc Pot and pans cupboard a bit cluttered, but that’s being picky.

• Karyan (10/5): Great location & sunrise view! - Christine was really helpful before the trip, telling us about all the attractions and things to consider/ book beforehand to help plan the trip (ferry bookings), great small touches like Kangaroos Island produce to try, coffee pods , the house has a wonderful view for the sunrise. The house was great as a location for day trips to see Kangaroo Island sights too. Thank you!!

• Sharon (10/5): It’s a home away from home! - The host Christine was very forthcoming in suggestions on sightseeing and eating places before we began our stay. This really helped in planning our itinerary. I got a discounted price for the ferry bookings thanks to Christine too. Would stay there if I ever return to KI. Nothing in particular.

• Kay (9/5): Wildlife wonderland with beautiful views - Location location location! From this property we saw koalas in the tree out the front, had an echidna visit multiple times out back, could wander to the end of the street and see kangaroos at dusk and most special of all, looked out at the bay from the back veranda one day and saw dolphins (we sped down to the jetty for an even closer look). Staying here meant we fully got the natural wildlife experience, could wander along the beach at will and enjoy beautiful sunrises. On top of that, the place was spacious (plenty of room to eat meals both indoors and outdoors depending what takes your fancy plus a high chair), and well equipped with washing machine, clothesline and drying rack, had the toilet in a separate room to the shower and had plenty of kitchen equipment, from the basics of enough cutlery/crockery/glasses for all to a toastie maker and an electric beater, plus plenty of pots and pans. The perfect place to sit back relax and appreciate Kangaroo Island. Key was a bit fiddly and only worked in the front lock (back doors had to be manually locked from the inside), which was fine just a bit less convenient.
• Susanna (10/5): Lovely comfortable stay in Emu Bay complete with Aussie creatures. - Beautiful view across Emu Bay. Several koalas in the frontyard tree/s of the property and the neighbouring properties. It became our morning routine to spot where they were that morning and what position they were sleeping in. Echidnas in the backyard. Pantry well stocked with condiments. Could have a hand soap pump located next to the laundry tub for washing hands after visiting the toilet.
• Cooper (10/5): Ripper of a place to stay - Excellent Location, Stunning views from the back veranda. Everything provided. Just walk in and relax. Short walk to the beach. Basically you will not get better accomodation in Emu Bay. All good.

• Aleksandr (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely amazing house. Very spacious, with everything you could possibly need. Everything is clean and in perfect order. Plenty of books and magazines. Koalas visible through front window 🪟. Barbeque. The only staff we missed was cooking oil.

• Penelope (10/5): Relaxing stay in beautiful location. - Location was great, lovely deck sheltered from wind to sit and read and enjoy view. House had everything we could need, and plenty of space. Easy drive to Kingscote. Meeting echidna and koalas in garden a bonus. Only downside - I'm with Optus - location meant no reception.
• Caroline (9/5): Perfect base for our family KI trip - Amazing accessibility to wildlife; koalas, kangaroos and penguins all seen close to the house, plus lots of birds. The tree outside the house had koalas in 2 of the 3 nights we stayed. Nice and quiet in the evenings. A bit dated in places but very comfortable and everything worked.

We even had a koala in the tree in the front yard and an echidna and kangaroos in the backyard. Be aware that there are no shops at Emu Bay so it is a short drive into Kingscote.

Some of the facilities are getting to their use by date, (stove,light switches, clothesline) and the garden/outside area could do with an up grade.

We had a lovely peaceful and relaxing stay in your well equipped house. Fantastic fire with plenty of wood. Beautiful Emu Bay beach is just a short walk away with Kingscote a short drive. We found Emu Bay to be a good base for getting around to see KI's attractions. The back yard isn't fenced but the large enclosed verandah was perfect for our dog. Oh....and penguins! We didn't see them but we heard them! :)
