• Jennifer (9/5): A quick call to the owner solved our query. - The house was easy to find, very suitable to our needs. We were not able to find a broom or mop to sweep the laundry floor where a small amount of mess had blown in under the door.

• Paul (8/5): Beautiful view, but some points to consider for future travellers. - This is a standalone house so it is spacious, the kitchen has all the equipment so very well stocked. The hosts were very thoughtful and communication was almost immediate. The view of the lake is pretty incredible. The property cops a lot of the afternoon sun so gets extremely hot. The living room is fine because the air conditioning works very well, but the bedrooms retain the heat well into the night. Be aware if you struggle to sleep in hot rooms. This was not clear on the listing but the additional bathroom and toilet are downstairs, only accessible from outside, so not very practical and I wouldn't count it as an additional bathroom. This was a disappointment when we arrived.

• Muriel (9/5): We had a great stay and would not hesitate to book the Lakeview lodge again for another holiday - Great location in a quiet neighborhood, with views on the lake. Less than 15 min from Forster and 5 min from Booti Booti NP with immaculate beaches. All required amenities were present on site to make our stay enjoyable, and the house is pleasantly set up and decorated. The day after our arrival, there were very strong winds and the temperature dropped to 12 degrees, so it was great to have the gas heater and the extra blankets. The internet worked fine and there was plenty of hot water. Our party was of 4 people but the house is big enough for 6 without appearing crowded. The property manager was very responsive and check-in and check-out were an easy process. Nothing really, but perhaps a new frying pan might be useful as the one available there was very old, with the non-stick surface nonexistent.

We thought there were two bathrooms in the house but actually the second shower and toilet were in the laundry downstairs. However we had no problem managing with one bathroom.

• Phuong (10/5): Lovely lakeview house in Green Point - Lakeview Lodge offers a view to Wallis lake and is tucked away in a small secluded town, making it perfect for a weekend getaway. The place has all the amenities, games and kayaks. The hosts were super kind and accommodating. Highly recommended!

• Martin (7/5): An OK choice if some basic maintenance is done. - The house is in a quiet street and has some view of the lake from the front porch. It was very clean and had everything necessary. Beds were fine. It needs some basic maintenance. The front door jams so it would also be easy to accidentally leave the home with the front door unlocked. And the main bedroom has a broken sliding door, so possessions inside are not secure until it is fixed.

Fully kitted home, strong wifi, kitchen and laundry appliances, right up to a multi-person kayak (which we used on several occasions). Brilliant location, very peaceful and quiet. Forster supermarket was only 5-10min drive. Great comms with the owners who had everything clearly laid out in terms of local tourism guide, restaurants, etc. We definitely recommend this place for your next holiday. nil
