Guest Reviews
- Antje (9/5): - Die Lage und der Charme sind einmalig.

- Kathryn (5/5): Passable - Great location. And easy to contact owners and staff. Internet was not working. No ac upstairs.
- Kylie (8/5): This is a lovely old Queenslander house with lots of charm, in a great location and very clean. - Location was excellent. Access to the bus was great too. The house was very clean and all the basics were covered. If you’re a light sleeper you might want to take ear plugs - the bird life is prolific (but beautiful) and the bus arrives right outside your door. The house doesn’t have much sound proofing between the top floor and the outside world because of its architecture (though very charming).
- Kuini (10/5): Amazing, private and relaxing - It was close to the bus service and bush walks. It was a private setting and the wildlife (kookaburras) met us every morning. It rained the whole time. I don't mind the rain but one day off would have given us more opportunities.
- Leslie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (10/5): The stay was beautiful and relaxing.staying in a heritage queenslander made the stay! - We loved the ease of making our own breakfast.. being close to cafes and the health food shop!!
- Andrea (10/5): We had a wonderful stay. Thanks Rosalind to open up your beautiful home. - The holiday home is in a great location. Walking distance to Alma Bay. The house feels like a home. Very clean. Very roomy. Lots of extra touches. Division of upstairs and downstairs room with separate bathrooms. Washing line. Beach towels. Lovely decor throughout the house. Great verandah to relax. Lots of space to relax. Rosalind is exceptionally professional, very responsive and accommodating.
- Denise (10/5): Perfect place to stay. Highly recommended with everything you need and more. - Excellent location. Host provided everything you could possibly need.
- Holly (10/5): Highly recommend Daggoombah house for a peaceful, comfortable stay on Maggie Island - Our stay at Daggoombah over Christmas was excellent. The location, level of comfort, amenities and outdoor entertaining area exceeded expectations. Being one street back off the beach meant the location was extremely peaceful with little traffic and beautiful birds and other native wildlife. We walked to the beach every day, then to the nearby coffee shop. I would 100% stay at Daggoombah House upon my next visit to Magnetic Island. There was really nothing we did not like about Daggoombah house.
- Jackie (10/5): We had an amazing time and would definitely return …. not in January though - The property is in an excellent location midway between horseshoe bay and picnic bay. It was extremely spacious and had everything needed from a fully kitted out kitchen to beach towels. Home from home. The property had air conditioning downstairs but could improve by having it upstairs. The proprietor did inform us there wasn’t but going at the hottest time of the year the fans in each room couldn’t provide the coolness needed.
- Kirstin (9/5): Superb - great location, comfortable space
- Svetlana (10/5): Exceptional - This was the best holiday house to stay in!!! Everything you needed was there! We had the best holiday and will come back!
- Wesley (8/5): Overall, a great stay. Home away from home. - Great space, decor, amenities and location, close to Arcadia pub and Geoffrey Bay. Very handy 3 min bus ride from Nelly Bay ferry terminal and so convenient to have a bus stop directly out the front of the house. Loved our friendly visiting kookaburra - a real treat for the kids! BBQ on the verandah also a bonus. Only downside is the noise from the road. There’s limited sound protection at the front of the house so the sound from cars and buses travelling at speed is quite noticeable. Also, the local curlews are quite loud at night and in the early hours of the morning and did cause us to wake up often (although this is no fault of the house).
