Guest Reviews
- Mary (10/5): Enjoyable. - Very clean and comfortable. Reasonable rates.
- Tyson (10/5): -
- Cheryl (8/5): - Ronelle Cottage is a comfortable, homely 2 bedroom house close to all that The Southern Highlands has to offer. I'd recommend staying in this cosy home.
- Rob (7/5): Nice cottage in quiet location. - Quiet location, nice clean cottage, parking at the door. Very old kitchen and bathroom. Handbasin was tiny, door to bathroom and toilet was hanging off so it wasn't closing properly.
- Helen (10/5): Quiet house, comfy beds, neat and tidy - Quiet location, comfy beds, garden
- Kate (10/5): -
- Sarah (7/5): -
- Jodie (10/5): Fantastic value for money! - So well equipped, immaculate, comfortable and cosy. The communication from the host- Maria, was exceptional. Nothing!
- Joanne (9/5): A pretty cottage well furnished, excellent condition - We ate breakfast out. It was nice to have a choice of teas and fresh milk.
- Silvana (10/5): Fantastic clean comfortable cottage - Very clean, cosy cottage, everything you need & more. Loved playing the board games with the family. N/A
- Richard (9/5): Comfortable spacious cottage with thoughtful touches, quiet location - A comfortable cottage with lovely wooden floors; it's been nicely decorated & we appreciated thoughtful touches like the kitchen & bathroom supplies. Lounge & bedrooms are spacious and the gas heater in the lounge very effective. Well equipped, with some games & books and a good smart TV. Given the lack of affordable accommodation in Old Berrima, this was a great option for a couple of nights, in a quiet street. The kitchen is fairly small - I wouldn't want to prepare elaborate meals here.
- Anne (8/5): -
- Janette (7/5): we enjoyed our 2 night stay -
- Michele (9/5): Amazing family time and family wedding! We loved it! - Comfortable and easy living Nothing
- Leanne (10/5): - Fabulous with everything you need.
- Anita (9/5): Great cottage in Berrima - Great little cottage in Berrima, the perfect location for our family while attending a wedding in Bowral, loved the self check in. Cottage was clean and really well equipped amenities we appreciated the extra towels with a baby in tow and the big bedroom worked well with our travel cot. In the morning a lovely parrot landed in the backyard to entertain the kids too. Beds were very comfortable. Only downside was the lack of blackout curtains so you did have to wake with the sun. Otherwise perfect stay.
- Emma (9/5): -
- Claudia (10/5): -
- Lynette (9/5): A great place to stay for us as we were attending a wedding at Bendooley Estate. - Very convenient location. Very thoughtfully furnished and equipped with everything we could need, very clean and comfortable.
- Natalie (10/5): A delightful old little cottage ina beautiful part of the world and we can’t wait to come back again - Perfect and comfortable home for myself and a girlfriend to get away from it all. Great space, excellent facilities - as a return stayer, I’ll very happily come back again! Wonderful heater for a winters night! There was building going on next door at the time of our stay. The noise was fine- just the cars coming and going fairly early in the morning because we had a mid week stay. A weekend stay wouldn’t have any issues at all.
- Maria (9/5): Will stay here again . Very lovely place to stay . - The bathroom door is awkward to close .
- Luther (10/5): -
- Tuscany (10/5): Cosy, clean, convenient and calm. 10/10 - Close to everything, clean, cosy and comfortable Wouldn’t change a thing
- Natasha (10/5): Cosy and comfortable cottage! Highly recommend - The cottage was so cozy and comfortable. It had everything we needed and was incredibly clean.
- Sally (10/5): Warm, cosy, with everything you need for a great stay. - Great heating, appliances, linen etc. Not far from old Berrima where we enjoyed looking around. The owner was very helpful and ensured we had everything we needed.
- Fitzpatrick (10/5): An extremely comfortable stay in a cosy, clean and well appointed cottage. Centrally located in the Southern Highlands - Cosy and comfortable. Very clean and well presented. Lovely extra touches in the kitchen and bathroom. The heating was excellent. Very well laid out accommodation for couples or friends travelling with a requirement for 2 bedrooms. Maria was highly responsive and couldn’t have been more welcoming.
- Laura (8/5): Lovely winter getaway! - Perfect cottage. Main area heating was fantastic. Host Maria is lovely. No curtains in the bedrooms.
Heater in 2nd bedroom ineffective/too small.
- Beth (10/5): We had a lovely time and enjoyed being so close to Berrimah. - A very comfortable and cosy house. The bed was comfortable and I loved the gas fire.
The kitchen was well set up with little extras. A king size bed would be great!
- Leelen (9/5): Superb - Cute, neat, fresh, and homey cottage. We truly enjoyed our stay. Maria is an excellent communicator. Everything was hassle free transactions.
- Ron (7/5): Well equipped cottage in a good location. Some noise issues - Well equipped house with 2 good bedrooms (with electric blankets) and comfortable lounge. WiFi was good and TV had Netflix. Good base for exploring the area. The road noise was disturbing especially at night. There is also noise from the cement plant nearby.
- Alex (9/5): Superb - Nice and warm with the heater on at check in - thanks Maria! Great communication, lovely space, thoughtful touches, super clean and comfortable!
- Milissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional - Maria was so lovely and easy to communicate with. She even let me check in early due to an event we had in the Highlands that evening. The property was spotlessly clean and great value for money.
- Diaz (9/5): Cozy and comfortable. We found the fire place on, it was a super cold day, a nice touch. - The hostess called a few minutes before check-in to provide the code to the key box. They were also accommodating in allowing us to check in an hour early, as we had to drop off suitcases before attending a wedding. N/A
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Guy (9/5): Superb -
- Leyla (10/5): Convenient location and clean, tidy and comfortable facilities. - Cosy atmosphere, clean and tidy cottage. Beds were very comfortable!
We didn’t have breakfast available apart from coffee. We weren’t aware that there was breakfast included. Our sons are anaphylactic to dairy and all milk products. I didn’t let the host know this but I probably should have as there was a goat’s milk hand soap in the kitchen. I am glad my sons didn’t use it as they would have had a reaction. Perhaps if non-allergenic products could be kept at the property just in case guests have allergies.
- Joanne (9/5): We had a lovely stay at Ronelle Cottage. The location was good- just out of town, and everything was provided. - Very clean
Good amenities
- Elinor (10/5): Cute little weekend getaway, a great rest and recharge! - What a cute little spot! We loved how cosy our getaway was, very calm and relaxing, in a nice quiet spot but still quite close to town. Nothing bad to say about our stay!
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cam (8/5): Very good -
- Kathy (7/5): Good - Very clean Toilet way to close to shower screen
- Debra (10/5): Perfect 😍 - The clean and comfortable environment. Not much!!
- Ayesha (9/5): it was beautiful - the location was great for us! and very clean and tidy there was no washing machine
- Jaylyn (10/5): Cozy Cottage - The property was cosy & clean! The bedding was comfortable and presentable, there was heated blankets on the bed in the main bedroom which would be handy for the colder season . I thought it was brilliant how Maria has guest robes to keep warm during the stay and provided awesome information about using the utilities around the cottage, as well as tourist recommendations. Definitely enjoyed our stay as a family and made it convenient and comfortable to be away from home to attend a wedding celebration! Thanks Maria! Highly recommend. I’d recommend to have a little trash can in the bathroom
- Jjshorley (10/5): A True Hone Away From Home 🏡 - Awesome, as always! Maria is wonderful and has a keen eye for detail. Always smooth, clear communication. The place is warm and peaceful, and it definitely feels like a true home away from home. I know how much one can miss that feeling when on the road ☺️
- Jjshorley (10/5): A Place to Relax and Unwind - Beautiful home to be able to relax in privacy with all you need to feel like home Nothing, all was good
- Bartolo (10/5): Every thing was great. Cute clean and comfy - Cute little cottage
Clean and comfy. Home away from home feeling.
- Nicolle (10/5): Lovely weekend away in a beautiful cottage. - Clean, tidy had everything we needed There is nothing to not like
- Gillian (9/5): Superb - Clean and easy to move around.. I was a little concerned about the top small step at front of house. The dark colour of the steps make it difficult to see the top small lip. As a safety issue it needs to be marked in a lighter colour.
- Anil (8/5): It was a great house, and I highly recommend it. - It was a lovely stay in a beautiful two-bedroom house. The location is conveniently close to Berrima town center, with vintage shops and wineries nearby. Having at least a table fan in the second room would have made the stay even better.
- Lani (8/5): Very good -
- Megan (9/5): Superb - The cottage was very comfortable, clean with nice natural light and good heating and ceiling fans. The bed we slept on was particularly comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The main reason for rating the location down was that it was in New Berrima, not Berrima. We had been to Berrima previously and were expecting to be staying there. Fortunately it was only a short trip by car to Berrima and other places nearby. It would be helpful to other travellers to know that there are no shops close by, but their is a large petrol station with a good range of basic groceries and only a short car drive to other towns with more shopping options. One other small detail is that I could not find a cutting board, however, possibly I overlooked this as the other kitchen equipment supplied was good. Apologies if this is the case.
- Graemeln (9/5): Superb - Facilities were excellent, bed was very comfortable, location suited us. Not a big issue, but tree over parking place kept dropping gunk on the car. Eventually parked in the street.
- Keith (8/5): Very good - Exceptionally clean Bathroom did not march up to the rest of the property.
- Kirstie (9/5): Superb -
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edma (10/5): The stay was absolutely perfect for a weekend away and ideal location local to everything - The property was in a perfect location to everything with only a 10-20 minute drive to everything we needed. Yet it was still in a quiet peaceful area to just enjoy watching a movie on the couch or playing one of the many games the host has kindly left. The place was very clean and the host was very lovely to talk to. The slight lack of privacy in the back room and front room, if guests at the back house are out the front of that property or at the front driveway they can see into the living room and larger front room. A set of sheer but not see through curtains over the top to still allow sunlight through when blinds are opened could help to fix this
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Carolyn (9/5): Superb -
- Kenneth (9/5): Superb - No breakfast. Location was good for what we wanted. Hard wooden floor boards.very pleasant stay for 3 nights.
- Suzan (10/5): A great place to use as a base to explore the Southern Highlands - The cottage was easy to find, and having the keys in a lock box close to the front door meant that no one was waiting for our arrival. The cottage itself was very cosy and comfortable. There were heaters in every room which were very useful as the weather was chilly when we were there. The bed was comfortable and there were dressing gowns to use in the freestanding wardrobe. There were books to read and games to play for times when you aren't out exploring.
- Karen (10/5): From booking to the stay it was all easy, pleasant and lovely. Would definitely stay here again :) - The cottage was so pleasant and all we needed was provided. Had a great stay. Would definitely book again if required. Nothing, it was definitely to our liking.
- Ben (10/5): Beautiful cottage - great base for exploring Southern Highlands - Beautifully renovated cottage. Matched pictures/ description. Great base for exploring the beautiful surroundings of Berrima/ Bowral/ Moss Vale & Southern Highlands.
Loved our stay with thanks Nil issues
- Catherine (9/5): Superb -
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Theresa (8/5): A lovely holiday home - Very comfortable bed. Lovely hot shower. Well equipped kitchen, with cooker. Lovely living room with a comfortable sofa and warm cosy fire.
Lovely quiet area in a good location. Could do with a blind on back door.
Would have appreciated a washing machine.
- Chau (10/5): A great place to relax for a long weekend - Spacious, great location, sparkly clean
- Theresa (9/5): Superb - The cottage was clean, tidy and the heater was awesome. Bathroom vanity was small. Iron deposited black spots on $100 bamboo wedding shirt.
- Bowen (9/5): Cozy and warm cottage, quiet location. -
- Joseph (9/5): Superb -
- Townsend (10/5): Exceptional -
- Burke (8/5): Very good -
- Kaylee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carran (10/5): It was simply perfect - Clean comfortable every thing we needed Bathroom door
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leesa (8/5): Well located for a wedding at The Stables. Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. -
- David (9/5): cozy cottage, all you could want. - Everything was great, the mattress was very comfortable with the only exception being that the doona cover was not a natural fibre. This causes me to overheat however we went prepared with our own Doona so all was exceptional. I was really surprised that we could get an Uber service (attending a wedding) in such a rural area. Nespresso machine was also a great surprise. Heating on such cold nights was excellent quality. Very clean thank you. I feel the doona cover should be a natural fibre, I understand many people have no problem with synthetics but they are not for me.
- Sonia (10/5): It was fantastic!! Very clean with a lovely home feel. The gas fire was exceptional!!!! :) - As is often the case, the toilet roll holder is in an awkward position having to twist and reach way behind you on the back wall.
- Christine (9/5): Superb -
- Kestie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lily (9/5): Comfortable stay - The weather was fairly cold but the cottage was very easy to heat up, with the fire place making the place very warm and cozy. The beds also had electric blankets but we didn’t end up needing them as the blankets were extremely warm. It was nice to have a small kitchen, dining and living room area, better value for money than staying in a hotel or motel. Location was next to Berrima and just 10-15 min drive to Bowral and the surrounding attractions, so it was fairly convenient. The water pressure of the shower wasn’t very strong but the water was hot.
- Cate (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Siobhan (10/5): Great little property, was the perfect spot close to Berrima. - Loved the complimentary robes to use during our stay!
- Lyndell (9/5): Superb - It was a lovely cottage in the country.
- Krishan (8/5): Very good -
- Chloe (2/5): Not what I wanted - Windows frames where filthy with dead bugs. Walls, where do thin and floors so creaky we could hardly sleep every car that drives by is super noisy. Beds are creaky and furniture is all mismatched
- Cate (10/5): Exceptional Property, Will be back - Location was perfect for what we needed. Communication with Robyn the host and the check in process was really easy. The Cottage is immaculate and comfortable to stay, we would definitely stay again if in the area.
- Jimmy (8/5): Very comfortable home. Felt at home from the moment we arrived. - Very comfortable nice amenities, everything you need to arrive make a cuppa and relax! AC not great , the one in master was way to loud. Bed needs a little attention in main room.
- Rundle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adrian (6/5): Pleasant - Nice inside the house. Instructions easy, well appointed. Bathroom small. Table and chairs outside not clean and area not maintained.
- Leigh (10/5): An amazing experience and met all of my needs. Would highly recommend to everyone. - That I could check in at a time that was convenient to my needs. Nothing.
- Steve (10/5): Clean, cosy and comfortable house with nice yard. - Polished timber floorboards. Clean, quaint and comfortable.
- Jenayah (10/5): Clean and Tidy home in a great location. - I loved the location very close to Berrima. House was clean and had great amenities. The house overall isn’t accessible for those who may have mobility issues which was unfortunate as one member of group has significant mobility issues however the photos does accurately depict the accommodation.
- Andrew (8/5): Cottage was exactly as described, and was very clean & comfortable. - Lovely functional cottage exactly suited our needs.
- Bronte (9/5): Lovely, relaxing little stay- made smooth with good conversation. - Super easy to check-in to the property. Easy conversation to the host who graciously put up with a chaotic cleaning crew! House was a lovely set up. Was set a little outside of the Berrima town (in a suburb called New Berrima). This could have been made a little more clear on the check-in as it caused some issues with a wedding transfer .
- Kelsey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalya (10/5): Excellent - location was great, clean and tidy property, everything needed was available
- Kim (8/5): Very good -
