Guest Reviews
- Sarah (8/5): - Fabulous house for a large group - 5 roomy bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Comfortable beds and good showers. Plenty of space to gather or dine as a group. Great location as a Barossa base. Our host, Lynn, was great and communication was excellent. TVs didn’t work (or could only get 2 channels with no ability to screen mirror). We weren’t visiting to watch tv so this wasn’t a big issue for us, it just would have been nice to watch a movie or a game of footy in the evenings.
- Susan (8/5): Overall a great place to stay and enjoy the wineries within the Barossa - Lovely house, great having each bedroom with their own bathroom. Air conditioning through-out with a fireplace. Kitchen had coffee machine with pods, extra dishwashing tablets and cleaning products supplied. Lots of plates, glasses. Situated in a winery, very quiet and private parking. Library with books You have to supply your own firewood - which was not communicated. Downstairs bathroom cupboards did not close properly. Outside patios were dirty. A few supplies like salt, pepper, oil would have been good. Bed 5 had broken towel rails. Air conditioning units looked like they needed cleaning. No dryer or clothes airer
- Lee (10/5): Fabulous stay - Beautiful location, very spacious rooms. Birds were very loud in the morning!
- Jayme (6/5): Pleasant -
- Thomas (8/5): We all had a very enjoyable time and there was plenty of room for everyone. - Its just next to the Chateau Yaldara and we can just walk there for the wine tasting, tour and purchase some lovely wine as well. The facility was excellent and everything we need was available. Rooms are spacious and we didn't have to wait whenever one needed to use the toilet. One of the clean/unused towels had some long dark brown hair. One of the toilets seat had couple of dried urine stains. We wiped them off and everything was fine. No drama.
- Shane (8/5): It was a good spot, winery and restaurant on the grounds, great location to explore the Barossa. - Lovely house, well appointed, fantastic location, five bedrooms and all with good bathrooms. Living rooms and kitchen all lovely. Parking was good. A few too many little details missed. Host was great about it but last guests had left empty bottles, many, in a cupboard, no spare bin liner or tea towel or bottle opener etc etc.
- Melissa (9/5): Perfect house for a group, great location and amenities - Fabulous house for a group of friends to enjoy the Barossa Valley
- Helen (5/5): Passable - Lovely vineyard staff at the cellar door were fabulous. Gardens were lovely. Quiet spot for an evening picnic.. No on-site facilities. We had bookings at the restaurant but they never opened. House was ok but could be so much better with a bit of TLC. No outdoor entertaining area.
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional - We had a lovely family weekend at Yaldara House. The house is very comfortable and quiet and with each bedroom having its own ensuite makes it ideal for a group. Our host, Lynn, was responsive and Sam (Cellar Door) went above and beyond to ensure our experience was exceptional. Jake provided an informative and interesting wine tasting. We all very much enjoyed our stay.
- Parisi (7/5): Good - Beautiful house. Spacious, and very comfy beds Could be cleaner. Only one pot to cook for 10 people. Not a well equipped kitchen.
- Tracey (10/5): Great group stay - Great accommodation for a group with good beds and bathrooms for each couple. Kitchen was well equipped and dining room and lounge accommodated everyone. Beds comfortable, showers strong (with fans and heaters) and split systems in each area for individual needs. It was the same price for 4 couples or 5 even though we didn't use the last bedroom/bathroom.
- Cliff (10/5): Best family holiday ever - Everything, best weekend away with the family, ever. Nothing
- Lucy (10/5): We had a comfortable, relaxing stay at the Chateau Yaldara House and would definitely recommend it for a stay in the be - we were in a family group and appreciated separate bedrooms and ensuites. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location was beautiful , and not far from many local attractions. Our host was very helpful and obliging and responded quickly to our questions. a few supplies like sugar for tea and coffee would help. We couldn’t find a dust pan and broom
- Harrington (9/5): Fantastic time great facilities - Items were broken, light fitting in bedroom, towel rail broken, dead mouse in room 1
- Laura (9/5): Lovely accomodation with a huge house! - Some simple supplies for the kitchen such as salt and pepper, oil, sugar for tea and milk would be really helpful.
- Erica (9/5): Amazing house in an idyllic location. - The house was amazing, huge and really beautiful. Each of the bedrooms was private with own ensuite, very comfortable beds, warm quilts. The location was gorgeous, very quiet except for the frogs in the pond which was lovely. A couple of the bedrooms incorporated their own lounge area. Excellent communication from the owner.
We particularly liked the library and assortment of interesting books.
Very close to Lyndoch township and the Green (5minutes) It was a bit cold on arrival so we turned on all the heaters immediately.
- Edlyn (8/5): Very good - Nice comfortable house, large sitting area and dining table. Cabinets are all pretty new. Quite good communication with the property. We were a group of 3 couples so we took 3 rooms. Every room is en suite. It was a little drafty in the front rooms (room 2 and 3?) but on hindsight I'm not sure if I turned up the heat all the way 😅
- Liz (9/5): Very relaxing and great - Beautiful comfortable property with lots of rooms to choose from. Didn't have any wood to use the fire place. It was a large property and it would have been nice to arrive to a warm place instead of a cold one. In the evening outside the property there was an awful smell (like sewrage) but don't know if that was an isolated incident
- Vania (8/5): great location for us to come and go - bedrooms each with ensuite was great for eight women Would have been nice to have a fire but there was no wood anywhere.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional - We had a fabulous weekend at the Chateau! Such a gorgeous house set in a beautiful location.
Everything was perfect.
- Val (8/5): Very good - A stunningly beautiful home.
Great beds and lovely bathrooms.
More than enough utensils and kitchen appliances.
A simply lovely home. The cleaners could pay a little more attention to the coffee machine. However it is lovely now.
- Yuhua (9/5): Superb - Nice location and amazing outdoor view
