The view from the room was fantastic, The hike to the river/waterfall was fun, and my son did a horseback riding class which we loved! I highly recommend it to anyone! Everything was perfect
• J.H.L (10/5): Mooiste en fijnste lokatie in Costa Rica! - Het waren onze laatste 2 dagen in het prachtige mooie Costa Rica en het was ook onze mooiste locatie. Een heelijk huisje wat uitkijkt op de groene omgeving. De host Markus met zijn vrouw Karla waren zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ook de rest van het personeel + hond Elly waren heel erg vriendelijk. We hebben alle trails die op dit prachtige landgoed ligt gelopen en dit is zeker een aanrader. Het zwemmen in de 2 waterval pools die op de trail liggen was echt heerlijk. We waren hier helemaal alleen. Het zwembad is ook erg lekker en dan vanuit het zwembad naar de vele mooie volgels kijken was een genot. Ontbijt en avond eten waren ook van hoge kwaliteit! Deze "hidden treasure" is een echte aanrader. Bedankt Markus voor het fijne verblijf. Helemaal niks!

• Yvette (9/5): Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefüllt. - Unser Aufenthalt war wirklich super und rundum entspannend. Die Unterkunft liegt in einer sehr ruhigen und schönen Umgebung, perfekt, um abzuschalten und die Natur zu genießen. Besonders praktisch ist die gute Lage: Quepos ist in etwa 30 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar, was ideal für Ausflüge ist. Nach einem Ausflug war der Pool ein Highlight. Die Besitzer sowie das gesamte Personal waren außergewöhnlich freundlich, herzlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Man hat sich sofort willkommen und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Wir waren leider nur zwei Nächte dort, hätten aber ohne Weiteres länger bleiben können – es hat uns wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Für das Abendessen konnte man sich anmelden und bekommt frisch zubereitete Gerichte, bei denen teilweise Zutaten aus eigenem Anbau verwendet werden. Das macht das Ganze besonders authentisch. Insgesamt können wir die Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

• David (10/5): Perfect Jungle Reserve stay - Worth repeating from other reviews: superb location...large and spacious jungle clearing with pool/jacuzzi, horses, chickens, pineapple plantation amongst other good things. Host Markus was very welcoming and accommodating at all times. Included breakfast was excellent and optional dinners too. Open air poolside dining area was lovely with opportunity to meet other guests or enjoy your own privacy. I and my 2 adult children enjoyed meeting guests from UK, Channel Is, Germany, Canada, US. Accom (Casa Antonio detached private villa ) basic but had everything we needed. Excellent WiFi. Aircon in the bedrooms. Able to take short walk through the reserve to find and bathe in waterfalls/natural pools. A truly unique and wonderful experience. Property is c.15 minute drive from the main road on an unsealed/unlit road. Road in good condition compared with some around Monteverde. An excellent 4 nights and thoroughly recommended. Easy road/car access to local attractions. (Mixed feelings about MA NP. Took us an hour of queuing to get in for our 0730 guided tour on a Wed (after pre supplying passport numbers/verification etc). Was very very busy and the crowds far outnumbered the wildlife. Did see the monkeys though. Beaches lovely but one very busy. Think twice before going. Can do better elsewhere IMHO. Was great to get back to the peace and quiet of the hacienda.) Biesanz beach worth a trip. Nothing

• anette (9/5): Eine traumhafte Ranch, super nettes Team super sauber, jederzeit gerne wieder. Das war wie nach Hause kommen sehr famili - Es war ein Traum, die sechs Pferde sind, nachmittags zum grasen in der Anlage frei rumgelaufen, wir waren im Pool und konnten den Pferden entspannt zuschauen. Alles super gepflegt, gehegt, super sauber, super freundlich, sehr familiär. Wir bekam sogar extra Handtücher für den Pool, dass wir die weißen aus dem Zimmer nicht nehmen. In der Anlage sahen wir ganz viele Colibris, Tukans flogen dort rum. Es war eine unvergessliche, schöne Erfahrung. Es war sehr schade, dass es zum Frühstück eine kleine Portion zum Essen gab, kontinentales Frühstück, zwei Toastbrote, Rührei und auf dem Teller war noch ein Schälchen mit Obst und ein Schälchen mit Marmelade, so sah es nach viel aus, da ist nicht jeder satt geworden. Das Abendessen für 20 $ war super lecker, aber auch eine überschaubare Portion. Hat man irgendwas anderes außer Wasser getrunken kam das noch mal auf die Rechnung obendrauf. Das wussten wir nicht.

• Erik (9/5): Mooie afgelegen locatie met heerlijk zwembad. - Mooi zwembad. Prima ontbijt. Mooi en ruim appartement in prachtige omgeving. Vriendelijke ontvangst. Goeie tips voor de omgeving. Toegangsweg van 7km is nogal hobbelig/gravelroad. Bij langduriger uitval van stroom mag de eigenaar wel met een betere oplossing komen dan een kaars. Uitval gebeurt regelmatig, dus een lamp met flinke accu is dan wel handig.

La consiglio molto. Il rapporto qualità prezzo non il massimo, si parla comunque di prezzi piuttosto alti anche per mangiare.
• Laura (10/5): - Wat een heerlijk verblijf hebben wij hier gehad. Je zit wat verder af van Quepos, maar het is er daarom ook heerlijk rustig. Er is een zwembad en je kan dineren bij de gastheer. Iedere avond wordt er iets anders klaargemaakt. De kamer is ruim en netjes en we hadden een fantastisch balkon met uitzicht. Er zitten veel toekans in het gebied en die hebben we ook volop gezien. De kamer wordt op verzoek schoongemaakt. De prullenbak iedere dag legen i.v.m. toiletpapier wat je (in heel Costa Rica) niet door mag spoelen is wel zo prettig. Er hing ook best een rioollucht in de badkamer.

• Jörg (10/5): Toller Gastgeber auf einer fantastischen Hacienda - Das Frühstück kann man ab 7 Uhr am Essensbereich am Pool einnehmen - man hat die Wahl zwischen drei verschiedenen Varianten, die alle sehr gut waren. Unseren Kindern haben die freilaufenden Pferde besonders gefallen. Auch die zahlreichen Tucane die am Nachmittag in den Bäumen sitzen waren toll. Die Wanderung zu den Pools hat mir am besten gefallen. Wenn man eine Taucherbrille mitnimmt sieht man zahlreiche große und kleine Fische im Jaguarpool. Auch einen Giftpfeilfrosch haben wir gesehen. Markus war ein toller Gastgeber, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In unserem nächsten Rundreise schauen wir auf jeden Fall wieder 2-3 Tage vorbei und freuen uns schon sehr. nichts
• Marijke (10/5): Fantastische afsluiting van onze rondreis door het schitterende Costa Rica! - Fantastische locatie! Schitterende omgeving, zeer voorkomende en gastvrije host, heerlijk zwembad, prachtige wandeling gemaakt over het enorme terrein met een buurman als gids. Bijzondere planten en dieren gezien en hierover uitleg gekregen. Hoogtepunt van onze reis. 's Avonds aangeschoven aan de tafel in de tuin waar de gastheer in de buitenkeuken een maaltijd bereidt. Heel leuk met andere gasten te spreken. Maar de keuken in het huisje was ook goed uitgerust, je kunt er ook voor kiezen je eigen maaltijd te bereiden. Hier vindt ook het ontbijten plaats, keuze uit traditioneel, continental of yoghurt met granola en fruit. Elke ochtend weer een andere verse vruchtensap. Ik kan niets verzinnen

• Natalia (10/5): Raj na ziemi - Nic dodać nic ująć. 10/10. Śmiało możemy uznać, że to najpiękniejsze miejsce w jakim byliśmy. Cudowny teren, pyszne śniadania, ładne domki. Z dala od zgiełku. Jest tam wszystko czego potrzeba do pełni szczęścia.
• Frank (9/5): Pura Vida. - De lokatie was afgelegen. Ongeveer 7km onverharde weg waar je toch gewoon 40-50km op kunt rijden. Er zijn 4 huisjes. Dus je bent daar met weinig man op het privé terrein. Je kunt er een hike doen met oceaan zicht of naar de waterval of naar een rivier met 2 poeltjes waar je in kunt zwemmen. Alles op eigen erf dus is het er nooit druk. Eigen zwembad erbij. Je hoeft er eigenlijk niet weg. Mensen die komen voor rust in de jungle! Dan is dit de perfecte lokatie. De airco maakte wat lawaai. Maar werd snel opgelost.
• King (10/5): - 100 Acres of immersion into the sights and sounds of the true Costa Rican rain forest. Lots of trails and activities right on the property as well as a beautiful pool. Breakfast and dinners were superb. Interactions with Markus the host were amazing, as were the family style meals with shared with visitors from all over the globe. The location too made for easy day trip access to Manual San Antonio, the Whales Tale and some of the best beaches in the area. Finding this place was the best luck we had for our entire two week trip to Costa Rica. I would recommend this stay for anybody, young or old.

• Steven (10/5): What’s not to love about this place?! - This was such a great stay! We stayed in Casa Antonio, right next to the trailhead for the various hikes, which were beautiful and secluded. Pool was really nice and much appreciated after a hike. Meals were quite good and gave us a chance to meet other guests (Belgian, French, Brits and us Americans). Our accommodation was actually a cute little cottage. Road in was dirt and gravel but flat and easy to drive. We definitely would stay here again! Oh, my wife also had a massage and Reiki session, which she loved.

The walking trails are excellent, and we were thrilled to spot a wide variety of birds and Squirrel Monkeys right on the property. The grounds are impeccably maintained, and the swimming pool was a fantastic place to unwind. Our house was spotless and very comfortable, providing a perfect home base. We also highly recommend the food; both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Finally, Marcus is a superb host—incredibly friendly and full of helpful local tips that made our stay even better

The pool and jacuzzi a big plus as well as the perfect 20 minute walk to a spectacular waterfall and swimming hole. One of the dogs will gladly come and be your guardian. Die Häuschen sind super eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts. Auch seibe 3 Hunde sind super nett. Die Waldpfade die es auf der40 ha grossen Hacienda gibt sind schön. • Jule (10/5): Erholung pur! Eine Unterkunft für die ganze Familie - Wir hatten ursprünglich eine Unterkunft direkt in Quepos gebucht, haben uns aber spontan dagegen entschieden, um den Kindern nach dem Manuel-Antonio-Park etwas Ruhe zu gönnen. So kamen wir auf diese Unterkunft, die glücklicherweise noch ein Haus freihatte. Es war die perfekte Entscheidung! Der Weg bis zum Nationalpark ist auch morgens noch gut machbar. Das gesamte Gelände lässt sich auch mit Kindern wunderbar erforschen. Es gibt ein paar tolle Trails, der Pool ist sehr sauber und völlig ausreichend, das Essen war das beste, was wir bislang gegessen haben und auch auf unsere Wünsche wurde eingegangen (vegetarisch, für Kinder geeignet). Es tat auch gut, mal wieder eine Weinschorle und ein Radler bestellen zu können. Die Unterkunft selbst war super sauber (und wir sind sehr anspruchsvoll) und Markus war ein sehr angenehmer Gastgeber, hat uns sämtliche Fragen beantworten können. Die Kinder haben es geliebt, mit den sehr treuen Hunden zu spielen, die Pferde zu beobachten und die Katzen zu streicheln. Sie vermissen sie schon jetzt sehr. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen! We loved walking the property, the private waterfall, the hike, and the horseback riding. A very special agriturismo.

Es fehlt an nichts! - Die Lage der Unterkunft ist hervorragend für Menschen, die die Natur genießen wollen. Die Zimmer/der Bungalow war sehr schön und gut ausgestattet. Die Gastgeber aufmerksam und sehr angenehm. Frühstück und Abendessen haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt und waren schön angerichtet. Die hauseigenen Rundwege waren gut angelegt, die Beschilderung wird gerade erneuert, was schon recht wichtig ist für eine gute Orientierung. Ein ausreichend großer Pool mit Whirlpool rundet das ganze noch ab.

• Carolin (10/5): - Wunderschöne und tiptop gepflegte Anlage mitten im Wald. Sehr ruhig und erholsam. Besonders geschätzt haben wir Markus' gute Tipps und die hohe Qualität der Speisen. Außerdem war es ein wunderbarer Rückzugsort nach dem Trubel in quepos und MA NP. Die matratzen fand ich nicht so gut, aber den Rest der Familie hat das nicht gestört.

• Stephanie (9/5): Sehr schöne und erholsame Tage abseits des Trubels. - Die Anlage war sehr schön, ebenso unsere Unterkunft. Frühstück war toll und das Abendessen, welches von Markus selbst zubereitet wurde, war auch immer sehr lecker. Die Zufahrt zur Unterkunft ist sehr holprig und steinig.

• Annegret (10/5): Pura vida in reinster Form - Hacienda Mil Bellezas war für uns das pure Erleben von Costa Rica. Die familiäre, herzliche Atmosphäre hat dazu beigetragen, dass wir uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt haben. Das weitläufige Gelände ist unglaublich ursprünglich – mit eigenem Dschungel, Wanderwegen direkt auf dem Grundstück und einer einzigartigen Natur ringsherum. Das Häuschen war wunderschön, sehr sauber. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das frisch und liebevoll zubereitete Essen. Überall begegnet man Tieren, Vogelstimmen und dieser besonderen Ruhe, die man nur an ganz wenigen Orten findet. Eine absolute Empfehlung!

Our cabin / hut was well equipped with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen / dining area. There was a nice little patio out front. The main dining area was magical under a thatch roof with open sides. Pool was wonderful. Hike to local river with swimming area was great. Breakfast was good. Horses, chickens and dogs added to the ambience. Marcus & his wife the hosts were friendly. If you are looking for a friendly, relaxed jungle stay I would highly recommend this place to you. Only challenge was that it was a bit of a drive from the main highway and the road was a bit rough. Ideally a midsize or larger SUV would be good to have to get here.

• Sophie (9/5): - Around 30 mins. away from Quepos, really quiet, only sounds you hear come from the nature surrounding the Hacienda. We were there for one night just before we left Costa Rica again. Our apartment was really spacious and clean. Also breakfast was really good, you can choose from three different options and they also serve dinner. If you spend more time there you can book a guided tour through the forest or do some horse riding!

Das Grundstück ist ein Abenteuer für sich und die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber, komfortabel und schön. Frühstück und Abendessen sind sehr lecker und der Pool super mit schönem Ausblick. Die Unterkunft ist auch ohne 4x4 gut zu erreichen, auch wenn die letzten Kilometer auf Schotter sind.

La cama y la ropa estaban húmedas. Cenamos un día y la comida no nos gustó, encima nos cobraron una botella de vino sin avisarnos del coste adicional (pensamos que se incluia en la cena por el precio de la cena) y a penas tomamos media copa por persona.

• Noga (10/5): Outstanding!!!!!!!!!! - Everything! Outstanding in every aspect. The jungle, the paths, the upkeep, the cleanliness, the pool, the food, the dogs, the house. Everything exceeded our expectations and we couldn’t recommend it enough. Markus is a fantastic host and cook. Dogs were delightful. Our house was fully renovated, clean and wonderful. We loved it! It’s out of the way, in the jungle but with all the amenities that we needed and peaceful. Several paths to walk in the jungle, pools in the river, waterfalls. This is a jungle location, so keep that in mind. Be prepared for critters, and occasional power outages.
• Hendren (10/5): A dream in the jungle. - I don't even know where to begin. This place was made for us. Everything about our stay was above and beyond. We're very outdoors people, and the property that is available for exploring is just so incredible. We spent hours walking creeks, swimming in what was basically our own private river, and walking through all different types of habitats. Every morning a fresh breakfast with the pups (Ellie will absolutely be your new best friend) and then you're off! Close enough to town for anything you need, but once you get there, it is it's own little piece of paradise. The animals and plants we were able to see and photograph were beyond our expectations. And there's a very interesting story about a certain poison dart frog species that's only found in the area, so definitely check that out! We barely ended up leaving the property, every day there was new places and critters to explore. I still beside myself thinking about the time and experiences we had. Check this place out, it's worth every minute of being there! Literally nothing.

• Anna (10/5): Truly a thousand beauties - A fantastic place! We stayed for three nights at the bungalow which we really recommend-It seemed newly built, was spotless and with a good AC. We never left the property as there are several jungle trails you can explore and fantastic waterfalls with natural pools to swim in. Many birds, frogs, flowers. We had breakfast and dinner at the property and all meals were amazing-the tortilla at breakfast was the best I had in Costa Rica. Markus is a great host and an amazing cook! Our favorite part were the animals and especially the dogs. On our last morning, we went for a last swim at the natural pools with Ely, and we had a blast. Highly recommended!

Super comfortable villas and a great pool on a super property makes life for guests very easy 🥰 The road to the hacienda leads through palm trees and is not difficult, but its gravel and its relatively long (20 minutes) But once you made it, it’s heaven!
• Thomas (7/5): Good - Markus has an amazing property, stunning natural pool on property which is a great way to start the day.breakfast was also very good. we booked 2x at Hacienda Mil Bellezas. first time in the single bedroom bungelo, this is highly recommended. second time we stayed in one of the houses on propery, upside is having more room. however it could use some tender love and care. airconditioning in the bedroom would have been nice, the roof fan is not functioning as it should. the fossets are leaking, and there appears to be mold stain (roof/shower curtain).

Our cottage was simple but well-equipped with everything we needed, including air conditioning, and we slept very comfortably. We appreciated having a small kitchen, which made it easy to prepare simple meals for the kids. The owner, Markus, was incredibly friendly and helpful. One of our favorite parts was being able to enjoy dinner by the pool. The pool itself was beautiful, refreshing, and set in a perfect location. The hacienda is very well maintained, with several easy and fun trails where you can spot plenty of wildlife. Our kids especially loved the farm animals: three friendly dogs, two cats, five horses, and free-roaming chickens that wander around the property. We also booked a horseback riding experience, which was fantastic. Markus took us to a waterfall where we could swim — it was the biggest highlight for the kids! We highly recommend staying here and would definitely love to come back. Nothing I can think of.

• Ryan (10/5): What a find! Birds, animals - We were traveling to attend an event nearby and booked this while not realizing it is a destination in and of itself. What a bonus! It is clean, comfortable, has animals, a stunning pool and background, lots of birds, horses, delicious breakfast and lots of well groomed trails through a rainforest connected to the Mesoamerican biological corridor.
