Guest Reviews
- Peter (8/5): Very relaxing. - The design of the accomodation was refreshing in a bush location. The food gifts were lovely and most welcome. It was a bit tricky to find, but the instructions were clear.
- Andy Issom (10/5): -
- Theunis (7/5): - Lovely view and quiet location Nothing
- Stuart (10/5): Great view, peaceful atmosphere, and very clean. A relaxing place to stay and a great spot to unwind - We had a wonderful stay. The property had a great view and was incredibly peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well presented. A very enjoyable and relaxing experience overall — we would happily stay again.
- Cyril (9/5): Great location but no WiFi. - Location, facilities, comfort and view. Lack of WiFi and no response when we messaged the owner.
- Kwan (8/5): 房子周围有很多的袋鼠,和他们互动真的挺开心。 - 很舒适,一切都很新。景色宜人。 信号不好,网路连线不上。问了几次房东没有回复
- Priscilla (9/5): - Close to everything.
- Giedre (10/5): -
- Ellen (10/5): Beautiful and stylish property between the bush and the sea both relaxing and near to lots of attractions - We loved everything about the property. It was beautifully designed, very spacious, very modern, the deck was amazing with a spectacular view of the sea and you could hear the sounds of the sea. It was so quiet, you could just hear wildlife and we had a lot of visits from the beautiful wallabies. The hosts were great, they left wine, fresh bread, butter and plenty of coffee for our stay. Our 5 year old son loved the property too and it was perfect for kids. Nothing
- Tiffany (10/5): Amazing! - This is a wonderfully quiet, clean, and stunning spot to stay! Even if just for a couple of nights. Its compact but has everything you need.
You'll see a lot of wild life! The views are gorgeous!! We loved everything! Here are a couple of things that might assist others.
Things to note :
Tap water here isn’t drinkable. You can boil water or bring your own.
The closest shops are about 15 minutes away but the accommodation has all the utilities you'll need.
- Neil (9/5): We wanted a stay that was unique and not just a room. The property was in an awesome location. - It was so easy to access the property with the lock box at the front door. So easy! Everything was perfect with the property and the little bonus of the breakfast pack and basic was excellent!
- Becky (9/5): Lovely views, very quiet, calm! - Very, very thoughtful hosts. Thank you for your lovely gifts! Fabulous views. Roomy, everything was very clean and comfortable. Close to Bicheno, vineyards, beaches, etc. The little wallabies that came to visit were very happy with the wallaby food provided and our salad! :) Would have loved blinds in the main area as it was very bright. It was hard to see the TV, our laptops etc. and we had to use the aircon which wouldn't have necessary if we had been able to use blinds.
- Melanie C Venter (9/5): - mind blowling aesthetics, farm + ocean together
lovely welcoming wine and also pantry items
one of the nicest places i've stayed in Australia
the quietness
loved the SALUS bath and body products
the views shower was a little too weak, not the end of the world
would have liked bush walks
- Murray (10/5): - Great outlook, private and peaceful. House is great design.
- Luca (10/5): Superb stay at Denison Rivulet. Highly recommended - Stunning location with filtered views of the ocean and plenty of wildlife all around. The property is beautifully designed with all the comforts for a family short stay. The bed is slightly on the soft side but otherwise it’s big enough for two.
- Thinh (10/5): Well-relaxed stay - Location and design. It is close enough to all the places you'd want to go in the area but far enough where you can enjoy a quiet and relaxing AM/PM. I love that the ceilings are high and that the windows allow such good light in for all the rooms. The bathroom floor stays wet for a long time and the fan isnt too good in the bathroom but it's not a major problem.
- Jacquelyn (10/5): Amazing and just really enjoyed our family holiday. Thank you so much. - The property is so beautifully designed and spacious. It takes in the views with the big open glass windows and lets the sea breeze flow straight in. We could still see the ocean and hear the waves crashing. Even had a visit from a few wallabies. The main bed was a bit uncomfortable on one side as if the springs have given way, but the whole place is just lovely and would go back. The main bed was uncomfortable
- Paula (10/5): - We loved everything about our stay, it was the perfect place to have Christmas
- Jakob (8/5): -
- Deborah (8/5): - Great views and comfy bed Needed hooks in bathroom and just a few more amenities like gladwrap, chopping boards etc for kitchen
- Leanne (10/5): - Clean and very well presented. Very appreciative of the bottle of wine, sourdough bread, butter and honey there to welcome us. Nothing
- S J H (9/5): -
- Jiaying (9/5): -
- Maria (10/5): Wonderful, cosy, beautiful views with all you need - Beautiful location just outside of Bicheno
House has stunning views and well appointed
The extra touches with wine sourdough etc was very much appreciated
Would highly recommend Arrived when it was dark. The specific location given by the owner was very accurate
- Bernadette (8/5): -
- Vicki (10/5): Planning my next visit.. and staying longer - Lovely and very accommodating host. Peaceful location. Great instructions and easy to find.
The accommodation was very clean. Gorgeous linen and towels. Fully equipped kitchen and the pantry items provided were a lovely thought and greatly appreciated. We loved sitting on the deck listening to the birdlife in the evening and watching the sunrise the next morning. We washed a few items before realising there wasn’t a dryer. However most things dried by morning - placed over the kitchen chairs.
- Mark (9/5): -
- Emily (10/5): Absolute perfection. - We absolutely loved the complete privacy! As a family with a young child we were able to let her laugh and yell without worrying about other guests. The view was absolutely amazing and sunrise was to die for.
Everything was extremely clean and well set out. Nothing. It was all fabulous.
- Wing (10/5): It is a pleasant stay - The facilities are excellent Nil
- Shamistra (10/5): A lovely stay - We loved absolutely everything! Really nice, modern kitchen with high-end appliances, a lovely balcony with views of the forests and ocean, visiting wallabies and singing birds every morning, and lovely bread and goodies to welcome us. We did one big activity around us each day and it was always nice to end at the beach which was a short drive away. The retreat even had beach chairs we could use. The beds were super comfortable and the master bedroom had electric blankets. A really lovely stay! The shower area took a long time to dry (but had lovely bath products!).
- Elise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (8/5): Very good - A beautiful property Probably the distance into Bicheno
- Judy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (10/5): Would go back here in a heartbeat and will probably book again soon - Very private, yet still close to everything Coffee cups to big for the machine
- Susan (10/5): This will be a place burned into our memories of a beautiful spot in paradise. - We loved the location and the quirky angles and timber finish on floors and walls. The view was to die for and listening to the ocean at night was a bonus. We would definitely stay here if we are ever travelling Tasmania again. No complaints, everything was amazing.
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning property Liked everything
- Yuen (7/5): Good -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing property and house all to ourselves - we knew it was good, we booked it as our high light accomodation when spending two weeks in Tasmania and it exceeded our expectations.
Worth every $; would stay again.
- Carla (9/5): Superb -
- Buttons (10/5): You'll want to stay longer! - The photos online didn't do this cabin justice! It was just breathtaking, the architecture, view, the feeling of being in the middle of nature but still so close to the water. The cabin felt so relaxed and warm like a home, but still had all the premium features of a luxury hotel. I would recommend this place in a heart beat to anyone. The kids named the Wallabies that came to visit.
- Kathryn (10/5): Modern with amazing views and wildlife - We loved everything!!!!! Very relaxing and comfortable with lots of special little touches. Modern with amazing views. Especially loved all the wallabies with which we became attached to very quickly. Perhaps better signage as you enter (the writing on the sign is tiny) and another sign on the main road as you approach. We found it very hard to find.
- Oag (10/5): Exceptional -
- Saloni (9/5): Excellent accomodation. Drive up is a little tricky but worth it! - The property was very clean with excellent facilities. The little goodies in the fridge were a very nice touch! Nothing.
- Tristan (8/5): Very good - Great location
- Karen (7/5): Good -
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional - Would have been good to have blinds in the living room
- Joanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (10/5): Private getaway close to Bicheno - perfect! - This place has great views and is very spacious. Lovely treats waiting for us - local wine, bread, butter & coffee/tea. There was even a bag of food for the local wallabies!
- Samantha (10/5): Beautiful, comfortable, relaxing, well thought out, clean and tidy. - The beautiful space alone, with the lovely outlook. The communication from owners was too notch. Also, the complimentary items during our stay including coffee pods, wine, fresh local sourdough and local butter were lovely touches. Thank you for a great stay.
- Derryn (8/5): Very good -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hitomi (10/5): Everything was fantastic! We love to use here again! - It’s very quiet and view is amazing!
- Iris (10/5): I would love to come again - We can stay in this gem while enjoying the nature and wildlife
Thank you the host to prepare us milk, bread and biscuits. I love everything
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neal (9/5): Superb - A great place to stay for exploring the Eastcoast. The little extras were much appreciated. The Wallabies coming to the deck was a bonus.
- Samantha (10/5): Stunning Property - Gorgeous space in amazing bush setting with native animals and birds, with a most incredible beach a short walk away. Extremely well equipped, we wanted for nothing, and loved our treats left for us. We will always remember Pardalot ❤️ Nothing at all 😃
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rutger (9/5): Nicely designed house for a short stay - The view and privacy. And the wallabies in the garden. Nothing
- Robin (8/5): Great place. With a little work it would be great - Fabulous view and location The bathroom. Inviting huge bathtub but hot water not sufficient to warm it up. Very hard to get out onto slippery tile. Shower unenclosed so cold and made the tile floor slippery. No place to hang the lovely big towels.
Electricity went off at 5:30 am. Called emergency number. We still haven’t received a reply. 🤔
- Annette (10/5): Beautiful & peaceful place perfect for a short stay - The views & fresh fruit loaf provided with butter & fresh local honey & bottle of Tasmanian wine No aircon in bedroom & block out blind in lounge room
- Anita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional - The view and the facilities were first class
- Izzie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Uzdil (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful view No sun protection in the morning and no BBQ
- David (9/5): Superb - Such a nice spot and great place
- George (9/5): Superb - Very nice place.
- Miranda (10/5): Exceptional - Close to the beach and Bicheno but feels like you’re tucked away in the wilderness! The Currawong house was beautiful, nice view of the ocean and the bush land
- Emerson (8/5): Idealic bush setting - Loved the bush setting. Loved the local milk and bread. Gorgeous kitchen and views The bed was a bit soft and the gravel road a minor challenge for our sedan
- Shainy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hayley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Belinda (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (10/5): Perfect getaway in nature with the most tasteful accomodation - This is the most serene and tasteful getaway. It is my second time here and the little gestures really make you feel special. The position is like no other in nature yet so comfortable. Highly highly recommend
- Ann (8/5): Great place to stay - Clean and comfortable. A great place to relax All good nothing much to complain
- Joanna (9/5): Reviving stay with beach and trekking close by and an oasis to return home to. - Lots of little extras like fresh bread and local butter and honey; and bath salts. It would be great to have a few games for a rainy day.
- Joon-arn (10/5): Luxurious comfort nestled in Mother Nature’s bosum - It is a very luxurious and well designed home situated perfectly to see the sea from a distance, but still hear it clearly, but also to see the Milky Way at night it was a little cold at night but there were plenty of blankets and a heated blanket for the bed
- Wei (9/5): Relaxing, a real treat! - The location was excellent, being surrounded by the trees and nature felt like such a relaxing retreat.
Plenty of cleaning items, towels and lovely soaps, shampoos and creams.
The kitchen was well stocked with milk, water and bread from the local bakery. Also the bottle of wine was excellent! Thank you so much Nothing I didn’t like but just some additional suggestions - scissors in the kitchen, perhaps a sewing kit and some basic first aid items e.g band aids and antiseptic liquid.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leanne (9/5): Superb - Great views! Well equipped kitchen and lots of room. Not to far out of town. Nice and quiet. Perfect for couples and families. Probably would have a BBQ.
- Desi (10/5): Simply amazing - The property was stunning. With its architectural design, huge glass windows and beautiful timber work our stay was amazing. It’s location was beautiful with wallabies in your backyard. We will definitely be recommending to our family and friends. Only thing I would suggest is that even though there was a washing machine there was no where to hang your clothes. A washer dryer combo would be a great alternative.
- Eimear (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mdtas (9/5): Great location to immerse ourselves in nature but with all the mod cons. - The Currawong residence was in a gorgeous location surrounded by bushland and wildlife. The view to the ocean was a bonus. Full kitchen facilities meant we didn't have to go anywhere. And the bottle of wine was much appreciated. While the beach was just down the road, it was nice to be a little away from the action. A barbecue on the deck would have been great.
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruth (10/5): Peaceful break - Stunning location. Peaceful and quiet. Ocean view. Super comfy beds. Lovely special treats on arrival, all local produce. We all loved the 'Titanic deck' 😉
- Desales (10/5): THE PLACE to stay in Bicheno - The whole place was just smashing! Our host, whom we did not meet, left us some very special skin care products, a bottle of wine, fruit bread and butter, a 10L container of mountain spring water and the entire trip was a dream!
- Julie (8/5): Very good -
- Monica (8/5): Very good - Peace and quiet Lack of blinds - can be quite hot during the day
- Nina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful and relaxing stay. Best way to unwind after a busy year and would recommend it to anyone who loves nature. Don't forget to take a walk around dusk to see the wallabies.
