Guest Reviews
- Amy (7/5): - Comfortable bed and kitchen, bathroom was clean shower pressure was great. Shower floor built up with water
- Keller (10/5): -
- Mattis (10/5): -
- Poppy (1/5): If I could add more photos, I would! 0/5 Ridiculous - The aircon and kitchen were about the only redeeming feature of this place. Where do I even begin?! 1st of all, we were here over XMAS for 8 days, let me tell you do NOT stay here at all, let me tell you why:
-The pictures are NOTHING like the reality you actually get; (see attached)
-Absolutely NO effort has been made to fix things that are evidently broken since the time the listings pictures were taken!!! [Window missing in bathroom so no privacy, shower head falling off the hinge, black mould and water damage evident, literally the broken off bathroom rail just hidden in the drawer under the TV, scuff marks all over the walls, ant infestation, gap under the door so insects can get in]
-Terrible location; confused as to why people reckon this is a nice neighbourhood??? We had their across-the road neighbour evidently under the influence peering around my car
-Not connected well to public transport; good luck trying to get anywhere near sydney in a hurry! Takes 2 hours minimum & bus [20 min walk away] runs into parramatta once every hour if that.
-This place is evidently just a money-making shed in somebodies backyard; people are always coming and wandering around the backyard from the house; [our SHOWER is literally visible from their living room!!!] we came home to a full driveway and people just wandering around near our house!
-Host was not responsive at ALL! Didn’t bother introducing herself, no idea who we were sharing the area with! Had issues with our wifi, no response.
-Had to keep our blinds shut the entire time we were there as we had NO privacy; they can see our shower, toilet etc.
- Tadeáš (3/5): Dirty place - It was cheap. It was very dirty, lots of insects appearing every day (after patiently cleaning), strange people from the other property trying to approach this place, toilet broke the second day and host wasn’t willing to adjust to our time requirements….it was cheap, but really bad experience.
- Ryan (10/5): -
- Tim (10/5): Great stay - Great price and had everything that I needed
- Ana (8/5): Great quiet space - It was a quiet spot with very comfortable bed. Loved the full kitchen. The outdoor area/garden needs some love.
- Jules (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marsh (1/5): Don't rent this - Nothing good about this place Looks nothing like the pictures. The bed was propped up on one side with pavers. Very hard mattress. No strip under the door so cockroaches and spiders inside.
At the main house a party was in progress. Very loud music and lots of people.
Access was through a carport with a large ranger in it. Had to squeeze by it to access the granny flat.
The access code was incorrect and I had to ring the owner for the correct number. She could hear the music in the back ground I could barely hear her.
The party went all night with very loud music and people wondering in the yard.
I didn't feel safe here and moved the lounge in front of the door. There was obviously damp rot in the walls.
I managed to get 3 hours sleep in between the singing out on the decking to their music.
I left the property at 5.55am and the party was still going with its music..
When I got to my car there was a guy hanging around it. Both front doors of my car had been peed on. I had to put it through the car wash it stank.
I sent the owner to her mobile a cancellation of the rest of my stay and notified booking. com as I wanted my money back and had to find somewhere safe to stay. I have had no response so I will refer this on to a governing body.
There is no way this property should be up on this site.
Absolutely disgusting 🫣
- Bellos (1/5): Bad -
- Patricia (8/5): Nice clean property. Convenient location. Would definitely stay again - Location was close to where I needed to go each day. Bed was really comfy, A/C worked well, shower pressure was alright, kitchen facilities were good. Wi-Fi worked. Self-check-in was easy. There was off street parking as well as street parking. Quiet location. Close to shops - 5min drive. No potato peeler. Nothing else I really didn't like.
- Tamika (5/5): Safety concern - Room was what was expected I didn't feel safe. We came back after dinner, and as I went past the main property to go to the granny flat, there were 2 men watching us with no acknowledgement as they were drinking on the deck surrounded by a lot of empty beer and a very strong of smell of marijuana. The entire night, my partner and I felt uneasy as more people came and the noise increased. I would just like to warn other guests that this property may not feel safe, especially if you are travelling alone or have children with you.
- Graeme (7/5): Convenient place to stay at a reasonable price with undercover car park. - Nice location, comfortable accommodation, undercover car park. Useful and spacious kitchen plus washing machine The bed was quite hard and requires a repair- screws missing from frame allowed slats to dislodged.
No cover over door- a bit inconvenient while raining and getting in.
Disappointing that the garden had been destroyed- bushes and trees removed.
A power point in the carport would have been nice for trickle charging EV car.
No towel rails in bathroom.
- Sharna (10/5): Exceptional - Loved everything. There was nothing I didn't like.
- Mitchell (10/5): Hassle free convenience and a good price for everything we needed. - Comfortable little house with everything you need at a good price. No complaints
- Luxmy (3/5): Poor -
- Gordan (5/5): Passable -
- Alana (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (8/5): Very happy with the location and the ammenities and great value - Location was great. Easy to get to and very quiet. Top sheet would have been nice, doona kept disappearing. A wine glass would of been nice as well as a couple of cushions on the couch.
- Arron (8/5): Thank you so much for the stay there. - Quiet and friendly neighborhood the only thing was traveling to the city with the union ordeal with the train made it a long process and time consuming that made us miss buses and have to walk several miles that normally wouldn’t occur but other than that the property itself I would definitely stay again Bed missing a few screws is all the rest of the property is in excellent condition and was very clean and the shower was great.
- Elizabeth (6/5): Good location for our purpose. - Very clean, excellent appliances in the kitchen, good shower. Easy parking either in the driveway or on the street. The towel rail in the bathroom was missing, one leg of the bed was missing so the bed was supported on bricks, and the iron was broken. There was only one clothes horse to dry clothes on.
- Lakpa (3/5): Property is very dirty, spider web all over in the room and cockroaches in the bathrooms. Even the blankets were stained - Setup of the property designed Property is very dirty, spider web all over in the room and cockroaches in the bathrooms. Even the blankets were stained and dirty and the owner is non- responsive. The property is under the tree and it makes very noisy sound when windy. Not worth of the amount paid.
- Natalee (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
- Fahad (1/5): Not recommended this place to stay. - Kitchen area was clean Property was generally clean however hundreds of Ants and few spiders was there when I check in. I stayed few days and everyday hundreds of ants and lot of spiders appears. I have to vacuum all the places everyday. This place need pest spray as well. There was a big spider in the house and still hiding under aircon. Also bed is broken one and they put bricks to hold it. I left the place 1 day early once I say a big spider. Place is also too small compared to photos in the advertisement.
- Syed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Reed (4/5): Pictures don't reveal the shoddiness of this rental except for the kitchen - Hardly any tea bags. What was there was scrappy abd poorly presented. The towells were extremely worn. The pillows were disgusting. The linen was poor. Fitted sheet and Doona. No top sheet. The entrance driveway was poorly maintained. The room required painting. No towell rack. The gate was falling off. Whoever Yvonne was who loved the place should give the place a good clean up. Gap around door. The towells were garbage. We had to go and buy pillows.
- Shane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ramos (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (5/5): Passable -
- Dodie (8/5): Very good - Very quiet location. Bed was very comfortable. The place was clean with all facilities. Had a problem my end using the app. Phoned the property manager who couldn't have been more helpful. The owner also phoned to help. Both ladies couldn't have been nicer There was tea and coffee provided but no milk. It would be lovely if there was some left in the fridge. Accommodation was lovely. The only thing that we felt detracted from the place was a torn blind in the front house. Also, a few low maintenance plants would increase the attractiveness of the Accommodation.
- Seth (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE! - Nothing! It’s not as pictured!!! I did not stay longer than 30 minutes due to the presence of spiders, insects, mould, water damage and something living and scurrying around in the roof. Nothing! It’s not as pictured!!! I did not stay longer than 30 minutes due to the presence of spiders, insects, mould, water damage and something living and scurrying around in the roof.
- Maddisyne (5/5): Overall the stay was okay but there definitely could be some improvements - Close to everything and parking was super easy Our only issue with the property was the bed was broken and sitting on bricks with slats missing from the right hand side of the bed so the top corner of the mattress sunk down in to the void where there were no slats, sadly there was no paid tv to sign in to and there were also spider webs hanging from the roof and little house spiders along side the roof. The room was also very different from the photos on the ad.
- C (8/5): Good place to stay, sufficient for our needs - Nice compact place with good, clean facilities. Toilet leaks so had to turn off the tap sometimes
- Christine (8/5): Easy access great location - Convenience Na
- Tiana (7/5): Good -
- Khan (1/5): Bad -
- Yash (1/5): Disaster. - Nothing to like about the property honestly. The room was a disaster. Very misleading address and other information they have uploaded. It says Sydney but the property is actually 50mins away from Sydney CBD The room was an old granny house at the back of a property with no outdoor lights and it was dark and scary at night. Manager never answers the call or messages. Room was full of spiders, the bed sheets were stinky, unpleasant vibes, leaking water at random places. Think twice before staying at this place.
- Mohammed (5/5): Passable -
- Tiju (1/5): Bad experience - Nothing.
The house owner send me a text on day 1 saying "sorry to see you go" although i booked the place for 2 days
Confused the hell out of me The place is not the picture advertised. It was there garage converter to a bed room and then build and extension as a kitchen
- Nikhita (1/5): Overall not well maintained, not a pleasant experience either dealing with property manager - No breakfast available so question not applicable. Location is good. Close to shops, walking distance to bus stop. Multiple issues. Not clean, infested with bugs, no hot water on multiple occasions in shower and kitchen, no wifi for a day due to which was unable to work all day. Toilet flush was broken. The front house was also rented out to multiple people with parking space shared so no parking as advertised plus obstructed the access way. Had no lights in the living room which they arranged for handyman to fix eventually.
- Rakesh (5/5): It’s a small granny flat. Not too bad. But lot of inspects and lizards near to the door. - It’s a small granny flat. Not too bad. But lot of inspects and lizards near to the door. It’s a small granny flat behind a house. Not too bad. But lot of inspects and lizards near to the door.
- Gagandeep (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cassandra (1/5): Horrible - Nothing That it didn’t have curtens I was in the wrong property I had some one in the property while I wasn’t there that worked for the owner I was abused by the owner on the phone
- Debra (4/5): Disappointing -
- Alan (8/5): Pleasant stay and convenient - the Location is great close to bus stop. The Stay was good and I would use it again, however I would like to recommend a few things
Kitchen: Fridge door should open the opposite way.
On Suite: Toilet roll holder is too far back would recommend moving it onto the vanity cupboard. Window sill in Ensuite should be tiled so toiletries can be placed there. Mould in shower should be cleaned.
Room: Table and chair should be removed and replaced with Drawers, as there is no place to store clothing.
- Krystal (7/5): Good - I enjoyed the bed and the A/C. The bathroom was a good size and the shower worked well. The kitchen and washer came in very handy. All the appliances were in working condition and easy to use. I would like a better seal on the front door to prevent bugs from coming in the room. The host also needs to update the door code on their email message as it was a completely new code and I had to call multiple times to get the new code.
- Delia (10/5): Exceptional - Was very comfortable and private.
Was very modern and clean.
Would definitely stay here again! There wasn't anything I didn't like.
Everything met my expectation
- Gerard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Haris (9/5): Superb -
- Karl (5/5): Passable - Long grass mowed
- Tara (4/5): It was nice, however we felt a little bit misled due to the appearance and price. - The kitchen was clean and easy to navigate, and the Wi-Fi was helpful as there was little reception at the location. The bed wasn't too bad, the size of the house was also nice, but pictures seemed a lot bigger. There were bugs all over the house, on the ceiling, the walls, under the couch, and in the bathroom, and there was not much bug spray left. Getting the keys was a little hard as the instructions didn't apply to the house we stayed in, and we also weren't told it was a flat behind the house address. The house did not look the same as they do in the pictures. The amount of money paid was a little disappointing once entering the house.
- Erick (10/5): Would definitely stay again - Very clean and tide, free WiFi, close to Oatlands estate, safe area Electronic door was tricky, spare key was good alternative
- Rita (8/5): Very good - Nice safe location and very clean. The lock was giving trouble but was made aware of that and a key was provided in case we couldn't in. Found it a little difficult in the dark to see walking in. Also I think a little carton of milk a few sachets of sugar teabags and coffee wd have been a nice touch.
- Ying (8/5): It is a very quiet place, beautiful. The only shortcoming is that the bed is not comfortable. - The location is perfect. Very much
- Anonymous (5/5): Ok but did not feel as though it was a well cared for property - Great location, quiet and great to be able to park car in the driveway.
Great to have key access too
Kitchen basic but good Messy outside, weeds across path.
Bed very old and uncomfortable
Old thin towels. No hand towel.
Difficult to access, worked sometimes and security code kept going off during the night
- Shetty (9/5): Superb -
- Joanne (8/5): Very good -
- Seyed (7/5): Good - Clean and tidy place The shower water was leaking and making noise and wetting outside
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hionati (7/5): Good - Kitchen Bathroom n pillows
- Ishan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Abigail (10/5): Comfortable, quiet and everything we needed. - Absolutely spotless and had all the essential necessities for us to cook and live comfortably. Bed was very comfy and loved having use of the TV. The location is really quiet and we enjoyed the peace as we were suffering from jet lag! We didn’t come across any other issues apart parking being a little difficult as someone from the joined property blocked us in. We liked the security of keeping our car off the road when the space was available.
- Jondie-lee (9/5): Lovely place and good location to Westmead hospital - Very easy to find. Set up really well and has everything u need. The bed wasn’t quite soft enough for our liking but was fine.
- Elena (9/5): Superb -
- Ujingoo (10/5): It was great - Clean pretty comfy Smart lock always activates in the morning
- Alison (7/5): A well kept little unit with everything you need to sleep have a nice stay away. - The place was neat and tidy and had everything we needed! Felt comfortable in the house. The location was very residential and not close to a train station, public transport with multiple buses was a bit annoying. The mattress was too however quite hard and not very comfortable.
- Rhiannon (5/5): Passable - It was a good area and easy access It wasn’t the cleanest and I thought it would be a little nicer and bigger like the photos
- Susan (6/5): Convenient and adequate - Location was great ... close to where my daughter lives.... the main reason for my visit It was cold and only one doona, I requested another blanket that took 2 days to come... ( the blanket had some questionable stains on it !!!) as well as extra towels, only 2 thin towels on arrival with my husband coming later in the week.
The electronic lock was a bit of a challenge, but once in the exact place it worked well... had to work that out.
The unit was not clean... dust and pubic hair in the corners of bathroom... floor was not clean... rubbish in the gardens from the front yard to the door (which I picked up and tidied) did a good sweep up of all rubbish around.
Once I had cleaned I was happy, and thank you for replacing the leaking washing machine.
- Deborah (8/5): Very good -
- Thomas (8/5): Excellent - loved the convenience of it being close to Westmead Hospital, very clean and tidy, hosts were very helpful, very modern. Would definitely stay again, very quiet and safe street. The only thing they could add is to tell people only thin doona so we could bring something warm as we got cold need blankets to keep as spare for cold nights. and we parked on the street as front house used driveway.
- Sagar (10/5): Please change your location. Hard to find unit in the night time. - Location It’s oatlands not parramatta.
- Rylka (10/5): Excellent - Clean
- Christine (9/5): Superb -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ross (5/5): Good location, neat and clean but BYO bedding, tea etc - Code was great and easy to access. Secure locks, Nice layout, inside clean and neat, good shower, kitchen lovely well stocked with cookware, plates etc. bed comfortable. Good lighting, aircon. Secure, plenty of street parking. Central to Parramatta, Oatlands house, Racecourse, walk to IGA, bottle shop, take away, chemist. Quiet area, plent of street parking. Shared drive was an issue, blocked in by other in air bnb front house, had to request they move twice. If recommend early starters park on street. Bedding aged/rough towels tiny and old. I bought my own bedding n towels so fine. Definitely must bring own to be comfortable. Only cheap Kmart old quality provided. No basics like hand soap, tea or coffee, bring own a must. Cobwebs and deep clean needed on windows n garden outside only. Also have birds or possums in roof cavity expect to hear scratching through night. Otherwise very quiet no bugs inside, didn’t try TV to comment. Water damage evident but no mould. Worth the value of $85ish a night if only need somewhere to eat, shower n sleep.
- Jade (10/5): Nice, affordable, tidy unit - I liked the location, the unit itself was quite tidy and nice to stay in. Shower was epic, the facilities were great. I appreciated the clothes washer which meant we came home without any dirty washing. As suggested elsewhere an airer may also be a good addition but it wasn’t a deal breaker. There’s a rodent frequenting the outside of the unit which I could hear through the night but quite honestly it would be unfair to call that a smear against the host. Rodents are just about everywhere and you can’t provide a physical barrier to keep them from the external areas.
I am more adding this so the host is aware. But other than this it was a great little stay and really budget friendly too.
- Amanda (8/5): Affordable comfort in suburbia - Location. Lovely clean area. Very quiet. You need to fix that locking mechanism too hard to operate and lock the door. Even with the key!
And maybe advertise about the planes. Not bad but noticeable noise if you aren't used to them.
- Noel (8/5): Very good - In the suburbs away from busy streets.
The carport could be handy, but you may have to fight for the driveway. No public train transport.
I was told driveway parking and carport. When I arrived, there was a big long bus and trailer taking up the driveway and one carport.
- Anonymous (3/5): I was left feeling disappointed overall, the outside was very unkept and looked like a shed, I thought we were in the wr - the shower was amazing! the bed was very small and not what was advertised, it was also rock hard and the bed wasn’t made properly. the door lock kept randomly talking through the night and early morning which was really annoying.
- Christine (9/5): Superb -
- Lindsay (4/5): Advertise as new 1 bedroom house it is a convert at best a Granny flat. The new adon is the kitchen - This is not a house it is a garage convert , Bed to low ,no extra blanket just a thin quilt
- Jyotsna (7/5): Good - Slight small toilet. Anyway was clean and good otherwise.
- Christine (9/5): Very happy with everything ... - The location was absolutely perfect. Breakfast was not applicable...
- Yashasvi (8/5): It was a short, relaxing stay! - The location was good and even the parking space was safe. It was clean and well maintained. Not an issue but it would be better to have some soap provided or a body wash. Hand wash was there but no body wash or shampoo was provided.
- Tazz01 (9/5): Great private location, modern and well appointed unit with excellent kitchen. I would stay again. - Excellent and private location. Street parking possible. Modern unit, very neat and tidy with a great functional kitchen. Takeaway and IGA around the corner. I would stay again.
- Binesh (4/5): Bed pillow really need to be replaced with new one and bed sheet need to be of white not brown. - Bed pillow, bed mattress, blanket, bed sheets need room spray. Couldn’t sleep well because we had no good pillow. Pillow were in disposable condition. And need extra blanket and is cold during night couldn’t sleep ac on whole night.
- Alana (8/5): Very good -
- Dileo (8/5): We were very happy with our stay there... - The location was perfect.
- Thomraj (7/5): Good - Could have provided thick blankets. Perfect for two people only.
- Rana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (4/5): Disappointing - We stayed for 2 nights working night shift we had neighbour banging on door at 7am because our car was parked opposite his drive way on other side of road we moved our car however neighbour still left nasty note . People where changing code on door at 8am and we where unable to extend for late check out
- Dileo (10/5): We were extremely happy with the whole experience. - Location was great... But we didn't require breakfast.. Maybe just another extra doona for the bed because it got quite cold.
- Santosh (9/5): Value for money -
- Navid (7/5): Good - Friendly text message
Good communication
Excellent value for money
Good location
Very cosy and nicely equipped place
overall a clean unit except for the towels and a couple of dead cockroaches welcoming me on arrival! Worn out smelly towels
No dryer and lack of good ventilation would turn the use of the excellent washing machine in the unit less practical
Reverse cycle Air-con not warming up the place
- Durga (3/5): Poor -
- Andrew (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lewis (9/5): Very relaxing. - Everything was pretty good.
Parking was provided. Hugh
