It had large windows and doors and was a large area to spread out in. It was inviting and felt like a beach house. The bedrooms were large and the beds comfortable—plenty of heating for the chilly nights. The complimentary bubbles were a nice touch! We liked everything

• Kirk (10/5): Will be back again. - This is our third time staying at this property and this was equally as good as the other two. Always clean and well looked after. Obviously we recommend it! Nothing of note.
• Amanda (9/5): Relaxing by the beach - The views were amazing, and the house was like home from home, very comfortable and very well equipped kitchen. Our last night the neighbours were having a party, the music was so loud and did not finish until 5 30am in the morning. We didn't get any sleep.

We arrived around 8:30 PM, and the sunlight before sunset bathed the living room in a very cozy atmosphere. ‘The Nut’ is located right opposite the living room window, adding to the charm. The location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk to the beach and a 3-minute drive to the chairlift. Thoughtful touches like the welcome wine and cookies made us feel truly at home. Highly recommend!

• Kerrie (10/5): Walking distance to town, right on the beach, relaxing. - Fabulous location, pet friendly and clean and spacious. We loved the high ceilings and great big rooms. We even had a plover nesting in the back yard!

Owner provides an amazing property and great communication. Would definitely recommend this property as the preferred accommodation in Stanley. We used to live next door and were always envious of this property and it definitely lived up to our expectation. Nothing major of note - Couldn’t get the gas heater to work (probably just empty gas bottles) but a great selection of oil column heaters throughout the house and also a magnificent wood burner in the lounge but we didn’t need it as it’s a wasn’t overly cold and house was warm with just an oil column heater in the TV room and also the one in the master.

• Dirk (9/5): Great stay. - Location is like 50m walk to the beach. And it is an amazing beach where the water pulls back the odd 200 meters at low tide and you can walk on this huge open beech full of little crabs. Wonderful! The towns-people are wonderful and friendly. All-and-all a lovely out-of-season stay. Winter is cold and wet and rainy though, so we stoke the fire-place and ran the gas-heater and we had a great time. My allergies eventually acted up, it is a Pet-Friendly Venue.

Large, spacious accommodation with good ammenities. Combustion heater kept us very warm and cosy. Imposing Stanley Nut certainly a feature but the different types of architecture nestled beneath the Nut visible from the lounge windows was just as impressive. The house was clean and tidy, plenty of room to accommodate our family and best of all, our most treasured dogs were welcome. No criticism to make. As a family we probably would have liked the main television to be located in the lounge room so we could have had a “movie night”.

• Robin (10/5): A great property with stunning views. - Everything about this property was excellent. It delivered everything it promised. While some accommodation looks good in the photos but is disappointing when you arrive this was not one of them. The property provided everything you could need. The view was stunning, the location perfect and the neighbourhood was quiet. The walking path was right out the front, the beach just a few steps further and a stroll to the Stanley Hotel for an excellent evening meal was a delight. Everything was good

So happy to be there out of tourist season - very quiet, relaxed - great restaurants and gorgeous buildings. Our cottage was in a brilliant location and we enjoyed our time there. The lounge in the tv room was not very comfortable.

The view onto the Nut was just amazing at any time of the day or at night. The beach is just a short walk away. Andrea and Daniel are ☆☆☆☆☆ hosts. They had put a bottle of wine and some Tim Tams on the table to welcome us. They asked if everything was ok for us and answered one of our questions in a very short time. Thx a lot for having us as your guests.
