Guest Reviews
- Melanie (8/5): - A little too close to hotel and music was a little loud
- Peter (10/5): After spending the day sight seeing, we all looked forward to returning to Charm to discuss our days adventures in the w - Charm on Carrington is a very special property, from the moment you opened the door it felt homely. The lounge room at the front of the property had period charm, ideal for kicking back and reading a book. The bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs were modern and spacious. Downstairs the kitchen and dining room had ample room for 4 adults. The kitchen was very well appointed with all modern cons, and cupboards full of necessities.
The location was excellent for seeing all Adelaide had to offer. Everything was perfect.
- Neal (7/5): - Location is great (close to Victoria Park, Rundle and Hutt Streets and easy walk or free bus ride to all the other Adelaide CBD highlights). Not sure “3 bathrooms” is accurate; one good bathroom upstairs, 2nd good ensuite shower only (with tiny basin) and toilet in laundry area (with thin bi-fold doors separating you from dining / kitchen area, so privacy a tad pressured). Really didn’t like all the partially used groceries (cereals, jams, pastes, flour, sauces) - you have no idea how old they are, when/how last used, so didn’t go near them, yet they took up space I’d fridge and cupboards, looking very sad. Property has ALL the items you need (so 10/10), but some getting a bit tired.

- Yannick (9/5): - Helpful hosts, great accommodation, awesome location!
- Frances (10/5): Exceptional home and great location. - Comfortable and quiet with a fully equipped kitchen and washing machine. Great location with cafes, restaurants and buses around the corner, if required. Nothing
- Olga (10/5): Perfect house and perfect location -
- Therese (9/5): Great place to unwind in beautiful Adelaide with great access to so much around. - Great location with great facilities. N/A
- Keira (10/5): Couldn’t be better - Lovely house in a fantastic location in a great spot with restaurants, cafes and shops a short walk away. The host provided great information and the best welcome.
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional - This is such a lovely place. There was everything you’ll ever need.
- Jenni (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed staying at Charm on Carrington and will stay there again. - Really enjoyed Charm on Carrington. Great location for our needs. The house had everything we could have possibly had needed/requried for our stay. We could have used some directions on how to use the washer/dryer.
- Marianne (9/5): Superb -
- Sophia (10/5): Exceptional - Great property, had everything we needed, close to everything, great location, plenty of space for the family.
- Kristi (10/5): Comfortable, clean, great size and includes everything you could possibly need for your stay. - The house was perfect. The beds were super comfy, the house was immaculate and the kitchen/laundry/bathrooms were packed with everything you could possibly need. Lots of information was provided before we got there, so it was really easy to get inside and to operate everything within the house.
- Dawes (9/5): A lovely house equipped with everything we might need, in a wonderful location! - Great location! The house was very well equipped with everything we would need, and everything was lovely! The host was very helpful and replied promptly with queries. Everything was great, no complaints! Only challenge was that parking was a little tight to get into garage(need a small car), and was challenging to find a park for second car.
- Stewart (8/5): Very good -
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leigh (10/5): Exceptional - The house was great, we had everything we needed. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with the essentials. The area was very quiet but still close to restaurants and pubs. The airport was only about 30 mins by Uber, so it was a very handy location. Nothing to dislike, the house was perfect.
- Mccosker (10/5): great place - just what we were looking for - .. ..
- Vicki (10/5): Home away from home - Everything was perfect. Like a home away from home. Close to pubs, IGA, Pharmacy, morning coffee shops. Communication before and during stay was exceptional! Annette was the perfect host 🙂 Everything was great. No negatives.
- Matthew (9/5): Lovely period house in a great part of Adelaide -
- Selena (10/5): Very comfortable and relaxing place to stay - We loved staying at the property. It was very comfortable and perfect for our weekend away
- Dianne (10/5): This house is in a perfect location. Showers and beds were great . Everything here won’t disappoint - I loved the layout of the premise and the location. A great pub across the road , 2 IGA with 2 mini walk and a great coffee shop close by. I can’t answer this. I loved everything
- Fiona (9/5): We enjoyed our stay at Charm and will endeavour to stay here next time we are in Adelaide - Clean, comfortable and convenient. Loved the Christmas touches
- Julie (10/5): I can’t wait to stay again asap! - One of the best houses I have stayed in! Immaculate, pristine, large house in a great location. High quality furnishings, modern bathrooms, modern kitchen, comfortable beds, fluffy white towels, soft cotton bedding and a great ducted heating / cooling system. Lots of useful food items in the kitchen- herbs, cooking oil, tea, coffee, sugar, flour, condiments etc. Excellent communication from the lovely owner. There is a free bus into town about 50 meters away. Lots of restaurants and a supermarket 1 minute walk away. Very highly recommended. Nothing! Lots of people have commented on the parking but we had a large SUV and managed to get into the garage without too much trouble. The laneways behind the house have tight turns but it was easy to figure out the best way. There is free street parking just across the road so parking is really not a problem.
- Julian (9/5): Comfortable stay in a great location. - Location was fantastic Could have been more detailed about the off street parking. Said it was ‘tight’, but this was insufficient. Access lanes were very narrow and a medium vehicle could only get into the parking space with great difficulty and multiple corrections. I was able to park my medium SUV with difficulty, but anything bigger could not make the angles, and other drivers would not attempt it. Glad for the parking, but a fuller description is warranted.
- Russell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (10/5): Had everything you could possibly need and more in the perfect location - Had everything you could possibly need, and perfect location The garage was really tight to get into but we were aware of this
- Beau (10/5): Fantastic - Close to many facilities and walking distance to main attractions
- Mark (10/5): Good size, great location, very comfortable! - Excellent location on the eastern side of the Adelaide CBD. Great size and 3 bedrooms, which is great when one travels w/ 2 older kids. Good selection of restaurants locally - can especially recommend The Logical Indian on Hutt St! Also a couple of small supermarkets close by.
Watch out for the ducted heating - it works extremely well overnight, especially upstairs - we got too hot until we got the controls sussed. I would expect it would be equally efficient as cooling in summer also.
Kitchen is very well-equipped - many rentals have a bare minimum of cups, etc - this one has plenty of everything, plus a nespresso machine!
Very comfortable lounge and kitchen furniture.
Would very happily stay there again. Not much really.
If we're being nitpicky - our son thought the mattress in the downstairs bedroom was a bit hard, and that room tended to be a bit stuffy - was better once we repaired the fan though.
- Nicole (10/5): Pleasant, central and clean acccommdation - Neat and tidy property in a great location. Owner put heater on prior to our arrival which was greatly appreciated. Access to car park was small hiw we plenty of free off street parking.
- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (9/5): Excellent - Best equipped self contained accommodation we have stayed at. Full kitchen with ample crockery, cutlery, glasses, cooking pots etc - even had an air fryer! The pantry cupboard had a lot of cooking staples including Gladwrap, foil and baking paper. The beds & linen were super comfy. Location is brilliant - we really enjoyed our stay here Whilst the covered car park space is large, the laneway access is extremely narrow and tight. We had a Toyota RAV 4 and it was a 6 point turn to get it in and out! If you had a bigger vehicle, I don’t think you would have enough turning circle. We tried to park a lot on the street but that was hard as most of the spaces required a permit.
- Kirstie (10/5): Thanks for allowing us to stay at your wonderful property we had an amazing stay - Great property in a fantastic location. Hosts are wonderful and we couldn’t ask for anything better. Access to garage is a little tight if you have a big car.
- Rachelle (10/5): Comfortable home away from home - The property was very comfortable, clean, convenient and charming.
- Graeme (9/5): we want to stay again next year - everything nothing
- Robyn (10/5): I cannot recommend this property more highly, it was a very enjoyable, relaxing stay. - Location was excellent, we enjoyed everything about this property, highly recommend. The property delivered everything listed and more. We enjoyed everything, there is nothing that was negative in our views
- Lee (10/5): We will be back, a great weekend getaway - very central to everything
- Rose (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (9/5): Pleaseant weekend stay in Adelaide - Great 3-bedroom house for a short stay in Adelaide. Clean and tidy with all of the extras that we needed; toiletries, washing machine with washing powder etc., parking, well equipped kitchen. The hosts were very helpful and provided clear instructions on how to use the key pad etc.
- Luke (9/5): Great place to stay - The accommodation was nicely presented and had everything that we required. The owners of the property were friendly and helpful in responding to our requests. We recommend staying at this accommodation.
- Robyn (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (9/5): Beautifully appointed house in a great location -
- Carolyn (10/5): Location excellent. Close to restaurants and cafes, close to the connector free buses. - Everything. There was a small milk for us to use, and loads of condiments for cooking (if that is what you do, but so close to Hutt street you need not bother). Heaps of cooking utensils. Everything fabulous. Parking. You need to have a small car. Parking is very tight, down a narrow lane, into a carport
very tight.
- Catherine (8/5): We had a great time - Location No blue tooth speaker. Slow wifii, no lamp in lounge room
- Jodie (9/5): Allowed many guests to all enjoy their own spaces - Host not only allowed access a bit early to our local friend the house was divine! It was a cosy cottage feel with all the modern conveniences close to city and great food! Only issue we had was tiny alley access to carport smaller cars would be fine but 4wd will struggle to manoeuvre in, but we found a suitable carpark close by that suited our needs
- Sarah (9/5): Great location and we’ll equipped kitchen -
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional - Everything we needed it to be in a great location Nothing
- John (9/5): Superb - nice place not best location or best layout but suited our needs
- Lavinia (8/5): Very good -
- Tricia (9/5): Superb - The property exceeded expectations and we immediately felt at home. Our host ensured that many small amenities were provided to add to our comfort level. A modern feel to a heritage property on the cusp of the CBD. We loved it!
- Tara (9/5): Superb -
- Stefanie (8/5): Very good -
- Jo-anne (10/5): Outstanding Andaccommodation, high quality from front to back A++++ - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Charm on Carrington was high quality from front to back, immaculate, clean, everything is thought of from bbq to shower gel. Beds are so comfortable and we would definitely be recommending this beautiful home. Nothing.
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brad (9/5): Superb - brilliant position
- Marion (9/5): fabulous spot - recommend - fabulous location , beautifully kept , well stocked with essentials parking tricky even with a very small car but ok with practice
- Guy (9/5): served a purpose for a 3 bedroom dwelling. - it was clean and a nice location for a few cafes within walking distance. pretty basic furnishings with average decor.
- Sonja (9/5): excellent all round - location lack of mirrors in bedrooms
- Lynne (9/5): Superb - Fabulous home with everything you need and more. Excellent location near the city and restaurants, but quiet. Excellent owner communication. Would love to stay again. Extremely tight rear lane to access garage. Not suited to large vehicles. Not something that can be changed but would be good to know before booking. Otherwise, fabulous.
- Leanne (9/5): Superb -
- Antonio (10/5): Exceptional - Great set-up, great amenities and great location. N/a
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (9/5): Perfect getaway base for a group. - Lovely quiet location within walking distance to all attractions within the CBD, including some very nice restaurants close by.
Compact but spacious terrace with climate control and a small but secure parking space.
- Tuyen (10/5): Exceptional -
