- Nicole (10/5): - Super cute little cottage. We had a lovely stay. Would recommend for any family.
Plenty of board games to keep the kids occupied at night. Great location. Central to everything.
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Terry (10/5): The cottage was very comfortable - Everything No instruction booklet for the dryer and tv, I couldn’t work out how to use that or the TV
- Amy (10/5): Amazing stay - felt like home, had great amenities. loved the movies, books and board games for us to use N/A
- Marijana (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (9/5): lovely relaxing stay in the Blue Mountains - In a quiet street but within easy walking distance of Katoomba. Great location for exploring the Blue Mountains. The cottage was spacious and was very well equipped. The BBQ that was in the original listing was no longer available, we had been informed of this before we arrived but it was still a bit disappointing.
- David (9/5): Spend a bit of money please - Great place for a family meet up. Everything you needed was there The garden furniture was falling to pieces really missed not having garden furniture we could sit on
- Dmitriy (5/5): Old and dirty property in need of major upgrades and then some - A nice albeit very old cottage (squeaky floors, loud doors, old furnishings, jacuzzi, entertainment tech) in a somewhat quieter yet central location.
Well-equipped kitchen, but was missing a wine bottle opener of all things! Awful cleaning- on arrival we found bits of old/spilled food and dead bugs under the couch and beds, crap under cushions, hair in the bathtub (from previous guests), etc. All my requests to have them clean the place properly were to no avail. And hey don't provide any cleaning services throughout the stay despite the very hefty daily rates.
Same with multiple requests for a wine bottle opener.
The tech is ancient- the DVD player might be nice (is it ?) but a Bluetooth speaker would've been much more useful. Jacuzzi tub has jets that are stuck and not adjustable - the water gets splashed everywhere when the jets are one. The whole house including the awful metal beds are really in need of a major upgrade (it all looks much better and more modern in the photos than it is in reality). Considering the price, a total disappointment especially without a daily cleaning service....
- Anil (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeth (10/5): A wonderfully warm and comfortable little cottage, well located and welcoming. - It was a very authentic little mountain house, wooden, with lovely old tin ceilings and a sweet beautifully maintained garden. And it had an absolute library of games and books!
The beds were fabulous, and the kitchen supplied with everything you could want, except a dish cloth!
The cottage had a fire and an AC system so we were able to heat it up in no time.
The weather that weekend was FREEZING! The sitting room, for us the room we spent most time in, was terribly dark. A standard lamp in the corner would have been such a help, and would have made a great difference to reading without strain. A rug of some sort on the floor would have completed the room too.
- Nathalie (10/5): Wonderful! We look forward to going back! - Clean, beautiful house. It was so warm with the floor heating and the fireplace. Great location, 5 minute walk to shops. Highly recommend.
- Byron (8/5): Great place to stay in the mountains - The house was comfy and warm with great beds . excellent central heating kitchen amenities also excellent with a great gas stove and lovely clean and non stick fry pans. Close to all places we wanted to go. Lighting too dim needs stronger bulbs . Spa bath a safety hazard for older people .A mop to clean bathroom floor would be appreciated .
- Marie (10/5): Loved the location in vicinity of Katoomba shops/restaurants/pool centre. This beautiful home away from home had - In the cold mountains, heating was our main concern. Central heating, fireplace, electric blankets sorted us out. Loungeroom could do with a bit more light.
- Duane (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place to spend our special week. Loved the addition of the bath and fireplace with wood provided. Nothing it was perfect.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - Very comfortable Drier cuts out every three minutes no manual to troubleshoot also suggest a diagram regarding vents on wood heater to make instructions clearer
- Theresa (9/5): Would definitely stay again. Central location - great stay. Great house. Easy arrangments - Beautiful house. Beautiful beds and linen. House supplied with everything required for a few day stay. Really nice and clean One pillow had stains on it from a previous stay in kid's room.
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Keith (9/5): Perfect no hassles stay. Everything and more for a cosy, quiet stay but close to CBD. - Close to CBD. Enjoyed the ambiance. Loved the fire. Central heating - cosy after windy day out. Would really appreciate a King size bed.
- Angela (9/5): We loved everything about it and will choose again when we are able to return to the Blue Mountains. - There was no breakfast as the cottage is self catered and the location is absolutely perfect!
I would certainly stay again and I have already told friends about this little gem. Literally everything was great. And I do not say that lightly. Congratulations to the crew who
looks after it.
- Gillian (9/5): Superb -
- Jeff (8/5): Good cottage with all amenities, if maintained. - The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. Long hike up a steep hill to town. Communication with the managing agent was non existent with no response to questions and issues during the stay, only email response three days after departing. Many issues with cleaning.
- Nehama (8/5): Good stay despite the above irritation - Location, general facilities, outdoor areas All the emails and all the many prohibitive instructions prior to and on arrival. Hated it! Felt like a small child …
- Claire (9/5): Really pleasant - I would recommend this accommodation - well furnished and very comfortable. - Location was good - fairly quiet - it was comfortable, very spacious and had everything we needed, including washing machine etc. Really good for a group of 3-4 people.
- Sandra (7/5): A great time with great friends. - The cottage had a lot of charm. The location was great and the beds were super comfortable. It was advertised as having two baths. It had one bathroom & a toilet in the laundry - not two baths. We’d had a lot of rain so understand why the lawns weren’t mowed but a tidy up of the yard for our visit would have enhanced our experience.
- Eugen (10/5): A lovely place. - Great location, close to shops and restaurants. We loved the vintage look of Blue Bell Cottage, it is an amazing choice if you want to stay in Katoomba.
