• Clarissa (8/5): Wir würden wieder hier buchen - Die Holzhütten hatten Charme und eine tolle Lage, beim Frühstück am Outdoor-Esstisch sagen wir Nasenbären, Affen und einige Vögel. Der Weg zum Samara Beach war unter 5 Min, dennoch war es ruhig mit einem tollen Blick in den Trockenwald. Es war alles ok, für den Preis hätten einige Dinge vielleicht noch etwas besser in Stand gehalten sein können.

• Gunter (9/5): naturnahe, ruhig gelegene Unterkunft - ideal für Naturfreunde - wir würden wieder kommen - Die Anlage besteht aus drei kleineren Hütten sowie einer größeren Hütte und einem Haus. Wir hatten das Glück, die große Hütte zu bekommen, die sich über zwei Etagen mit sehr schöner Galerie erstreckt. Besonders beeindruckend war die große Veranda mit direktem Blick ins bewaldete Tal – auf Baumhöhe konnten wir Affen und andere Tiere aus nächster Nähe beobachten. Durch die offene Bauweise mit natürlicher Belüftung (ohne klassische Fenster, nur mit Fliegengittern) fühlt man sich mitten im Dschungel; die Geräusche der Natur, insbesondere morgens die Brüllaffen, machen das Erlebnis sehr intensiv. Anfangs ungewohnt, insgesamt aber ein großartiges Naturerlebnis. Super Erfahrung für uns. Der Pool war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Positiv hervorzuheben ist auch das nachhaltige Konzept: Am Poolhaus sowie in den Unterkünften stehen gesammelte Strand- und Spielsachen früherer Gäste zur Verfügung – eine tolle Idee, von der besonders Familien profitieren. Die Küche war zweckmäßig ausgestattet und ausreichend für einfache Selbstverpflegung. Die Schlüsselübergabe verlief unkompliziert, und die Kommunikation per WhatsApp war schnell, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die große Hütte verfügt ausschließlich über natürliche Belüftung, während die kleineren Hütten Klimaanlagen haben – für uns sehr angenehm, aber nicht jedermanns Sache. Dafür gibt es aber ja dann die kleinen Hütten mit Klimaanlage und festen Fenstern. Die Moskitonetze könnten teilweise überprüft werden, da sie kleinere Lücken aufwiesen. Wir hatten aber keine Probleme mit Moskitos. Durch die offene Bauweise entsteht anfangs ein gewisses Unsicherheitsgefühl, auch wenn objektiv kein höheres Risiko besteht als bei einfachen Fenstern. Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig, aber etwas abgelegen; ein Auto ist notwendig, um beispielsweise nach Samara zu fahren. Zudem war die Betreuung eher anonym, da sich niemand dauerhaft vor Ort befindet – auch wenn die digitale Erreichbarkeit wirklich gut funktioniert und super hilfreich war. Der Parkplatz direkt an den Hütten ist etwas eng gestaltet. Mit etwas abgestimmter Parkweise hätten aus unserer Sicht problemlos drei Fahrzeuge Platz gefunden; tatsächlich wurde der Raum durch andere Gäste so großzügig genutzt, sodass wir auf den nahegelegenen Schotterweg ausweichen mussten – grundsätzlich kein Problem, mit etwas mehr Rücksichtnahme anderer Gäste aber vermeidbar.

• Erika (1/5): El lugar no coincide con la descripción del anuncio. - La información del anuncio no coincide con las condiciones reales de la cabaña que nos fue asignada. El complejo tiene varias unidades y la que ocupamos presentaba diferencias importantes respecto a lo publicado. La cabaña no tenía vidrios en aberturas ni ventanas, solo mosquiteros (varios rotos) y no cerraban hasta el piso, lo que permitía el ingreso constante de viento, frío, hojas, polvo, insectos y arañas. La cocina tenía presencia permanente de hormigas. Además era muy ruidoso. Debido a estas condiciones, no pudimos descansar ni usar los espacios comunes (como el living/comedor) con normalidad. También sufrimos un corte de agua una mañana (luego solucionado). El propietario solo solucionó el problema del agua. Respecto al resto, indicó que lamentaba que lo hiciéramos responsable del clima.

• Anne (7/5): A real jungle experience, - Host was helpful with equipment and tourism advice. Unique log dwelling. Platform into the jungle felt great. Pool was lovely. The jungle got into the accommodation principally in the form of ants. Despite some treatment (on the wooden floor?) that killed them they kept on coming. Woke up to a carpet of dead and dying ants each morning. Maybe I should have been prepared for this, but it bothered me.
• Katrin (10/5): - Es war alles wundebar. Das Häuschen ist klein aber hat alles was man braucht.Es ist liebevoll eingerichtet, sauber, bequeme Betten, warmes Wasser in der Dusche. Man ist mit dem Auto sehr schnell in Sámara und in der Nähe von tollen Stränden. Der Gastgeber ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Waschmaschine und trockner stehen kostenlos zur Verfügung, wenn man noch etwas braucht kann man sich das nehmen. Föhn, Schere, Besen, Handtuch, Toilettenpapier .... Alles da. Der Pool und der Bereich sind schön gestaltet, es gibt ein paar Liegestuhle und zwei Hängematten, viele Bäume spenden Schatten und Obst wie Grapefruit oder Zitronen. Man sieht aus den Fenstern und sieht nur Wald, das ist sehr schön, absolute Natur. Ich habe nichts zu bemängeln und kann es empfehlen. Gibt es nichts

• Agi (10/5): Excellent eco-friendly place for family with kids! - This place is a gem! The location is both isolated and quiet, yet it remains close to the town. Perfect for families with kids. A spacious cabin and wonderful pool, and you get to pick up your own grapefruits, starfruit, and lemons! It was my first time ever eating a grapefruit I picked up. Steward welcomed us warmly and was super helpful with recommendations. I loved the idea of staying at an ecotourist place, which works on helping regrow endangered trees! Nothing comes to mind.

Der Gastgeber war super freudlich und die Unterkunft ist super grosszügig und und mitten in der Natur. Die beschichteten Pfannen waren ausser einer (ganz neuen Bratpfanne) alle ziemlich verkratzt. abgesehen davon war alles toll.

Ich habe mich ja schon sehr auf diese Unterkunft gefreut, aber was wir hatten, war einfach genial! Vielen, vielen lieben Dank für Alles! Wir hatten 2 Bungalows zu fünft. Die Bungalows sind sehr gepflegt, liebevoll eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts. Es hat eine Kaffeemaschine, Mikrowelle, ein Kochherd, genügend Pfannen und Besteck, einen Toaster und vieles mehr. Wir waren 3 Nächte hier und ich würde zu 120% wieder kommen. Wir haben die Ruhe der Natur sehr geschätzt. Einfach toll. Wir durften uns an frischen Früchten bedienen, uns wurde alles gezeigt und wir haben uns lange unterhalten und viel Wissenswertes über die Unterkunft und Land und Leute erhalten. Der Pool und der Aussenbereich sind traumhaft. Alles ist mit Liebe gepflegt. Am Abend kann man in den Hängematten entspannen. Vielen Dank für Alles! Macht weiter so! P-U-R-A V-I-D-A!!! 🦜

• Pablo (10/5): Perfectas para unos días en familia por Sámara - Una cabañas muy majas en el bosque cerca de Sámara. La bienvenida por parte de Steward y Xavi super bien, te dan varias recomendaciones y están muy atentos a todo. Nad, todo OK.

• Pilar (10/5): See you next year - Eco Turismo is perfect, from the clean comfortable well equipped cabin, great pool and quiet location. The best part of your stay will be how welcome you are made to feel. There was nothing didn't like.
• Yaara (9/5): Superb - Great location, about 5 minute drive from Samara but set in a quiet forest where you'll hear nothing but nature sounds. The pool and rancho are a great place to hang out, always shady and breezy. The staff here are great and helpful, and our cabin was clean and quiet with a well equipped kitchen. The cabin is really small and this was a challenge with two kids. It might work better with younger kids, but with older ones it's definitely cramped. Could be great for a couple.

It is a bit outside of Sámara which was nice to have a calm and peaceful stay. They are taking care of the environment around and you can have fresh fruit for breakfast. The hut is tiny but equipped with everything you need throughout your stay. We were received a heartwarming welcome and got all the information we needed. We enjoyed everything!

• Tobias (10/5): Charming gem of a place, very handy yet still secluded - Everything about the stay was fabulous. Xavier and his crew were very attentive & helpful. The cabin was gorgeous & had everything I wanted. The first couple nights were very windy but the cabin was super sturdy & didn't creak at all. If you're renting a car, you'll really want an SUV to get here. The road from Liberia airport wasn't bad but once you turn off the main road it's dirt & gravel with lots of hills & ruts. That's pretty common in the area so not really a negative just be prepared!

• Nancy (10/5): A beautiful peaceful oasis in the middle of a jungle ecosystem - This is an amazing property with cute cabins and all the facilities. The pool was nicely kept. The fruit provided from the crop was extra special. All the staff was helpful. Great area but need a vehicle or taxi for access to Sámara. Such a peaceful place to stay. It was nice to hear that this was also funding support for the tree regrowth.

• Clemence (10/5): Pleasant stay in the monos jungle! - Everything was perfect, the host, Xavier was really kind and fully available. The place was great, clean and perfect for a family escape. The pool, the fruit's ree (lemon, grapefruit, etc), the location, 5 min from Samra and Carillo beach, make this place a unavoidable. I'll recommend for sure to anyone, it worth the price (not too expensive, we were the mid November).

V - We used every part of this unique property, pool, outdoor common space, outdoor shower, laundry facilities our patio table and trail to listen to and watch the howler monkey’s. The kitchen was well equipped, beds are comfortable and cabin was very clean. We also enjoyed the fresh fruit daily.

The property is a unique experience with cabin overlooking lush tropical vegetation. The howler monkeys did not cooperate- no viewing, only noise.

Has all the facilities you need. We only stayed one night. Nothing, great place for 1 or 2 nights and close to Sámara.
• Frank (9/5): A perfect stay in a nice lodge with all amenities. - Nice calm place surrounded by nature. Very friendly host. The wooden houses are very clean and offer all comfort. We had the nice little pool mostly for ourselves. Good starting point for day trips e.g. to Samara Beach or Watefalls in the Nicoja backcountry. We enjoyed our stay very much. No complaints. Everything was great.

A well equipped gorgeous cabin surrounded by a beautiful garden with a pool and laundry. Xavi was very helpful and showed our children the local monkeys. Best bit is that the profits go to the tree charity. Just wish we could have stayed longer. It was a fantastic spot.
• Carla (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay at this hotel was simply perfect! The cabins provided the ideal accommodation for our family. They were cozy and well-equipped. The kids loved spending time at the pool, splashing around and having a blast. The hammock was a big hit too. One of the most convenient aspects was having access to laundry facilities. After traveling around Costa Rica, being able to do laundry on-site was a game-changer, making our vacation all the more comfortable and stress-free. The location was fantastic, close to some of the most beautiful beaches in the area. We enjoyed spending our days exploring the amazing beaches, surfing, buggy boarding and hiking with the kids. The host was incredibly helpful and friendly, providing us with valuable tips about the surrounding area. The Guayacan tree is a vital part of Costa Rica's rich biodiversity, and by choosing to stay at this property, we actively participate in the efforts to protect and preserve the tree by Fundacion Guayacan Real.

He pointed us to some great areas to visit and was very responsive to any questions we might have. We communicated before our arrival so check in was easy. The cabin was very confortable and clean and the kitchen was perfect for cooking some home meals. We got to see the monkeys out our back window and got to use the pool with the kids. The property is beautiful and quiet (appart from the Monkeys sometime) and the town and beach just a quick 5 minute drive away. We stayed here for 5 nights and would totally recommend. Parking was a bit tight, but now overly complicated. The road there was a bit bumpy.

• Matthias (9/5): Superb - The hut is owned by a person of European descent which may be the reason why the usual drawbacks of accommodations in Costa Rica were absent here: There were no loose water taps, non-functional power outlets or the like; everything was well maintained and selected with a great love for details. The hut is best equipped, cozy and in the middle of the jungle. The other reviewers did not exaggerate: You really can watch the monkeys while doing the dishes. Our extraordinary experience was impaired by the fact that the owner did renovation work while renting out the rooms. It is no pleasure to be greeted by angle grinders and hammers at 7 in the morning. We would recommend to suspend renting for a couple of days when work with excessive noise must be carried out. We do not see this as a deterrent to book, as this bad experience is unlikely to happen at all times.

• Johanna (10/5): Great Wooden Houses - Strong recommendation - Great place to stay outside of town in the ‘jungle’, monkeys, humming birds inclusive. The wooden homes are equipped with everything you need for a longer stay. Modern, clean and comfortable. 5min drive from Samara Beach. Friendly and helpful host. Definitely recommend staying here! Pillows were too hard for us
• Marek (10/5): Highly recommended! We would come again anytime. - The cabin is very spacious and well equipped. It's located in very quiet location with wonderful nature around including monkeys crossing over trees. The staff is super friendly, helpful and willing to meet your every demand. Xavi, the guy who runs the place, is always at hand giving tips and knowledge about the area. We stayed three nights with our daughters (6 and 4 years old) and they did not want to leave. The pool is also a blast.
• Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Quaint and friendly. A small drive into Samara, but nice to be outside of the busy area. The room was small but had everything we needed, including a well stocked kitchenette.

• Crystal (10/5): Beautuful well kept property in a great location. - The cabinas are very well built and super cute. Beautiful wood and craftsmanship throughout. All you need for a pleasant stay and a short drive into Samara and Carrillo beaches. The pool area is very inviting and refreshing. The grounds keeper and cleaning girl do an outstanding job. Although I didn’t need it this trip an outside common BBQ area would be nice but note this is not common in Costa Rica rentals - possibly because it would attract wild animals.

• Olivia (10/5): serenity in the jungle and a short distance to samara beach. the host Xavi is amazing and so nice and gave us a beautifu - everything. the location in the jungle, the construction of the wooden house, the hammocks, the layout. it is so relaxing here. nothing!
• Eva (8/5): Lovely cabin situated in a great location! - Really quiet and peaceful location, the cabin was comfortable, cosy and clean. Owner really friendly & helpful, he reccomended a brilliant dolphin watching tour and we could message him with questions The a/c was a little bit loud and one of the windows in the kitchen didn't have a curtain so it didn't block the light which would have been helpful.
