Excellent value for 4-6 people but relatively expensive for only two. Quality and enjoyment was a big step up from a hotel room Only one bathroom. Not a problem for 2 people but would detract if the full complement stayed

Newly renovated, it was spacious yet cosy, comfortable & warm. Had everything we needed, even had a coffee machine. Nice crockery and glassware. This place was just perfect, great communication with the owners including answering questions about places to eat etc. Cannot rate highly enough. This place would suit couples & families. There was nothing we did not like

Sarah Rolfe (9/5): Hidden gem in the mountains - This little cottage is an absolute gem nestled in the mountains. I spent a night with my tiny dog and could have stayed longer. The house was clean, well equipped, warm and comfortable. The neighbourhood is quiet and the scenery beautiful. The house had everything I needed, including an amazing bathtub for relaxing. Chromecast was an added bonus. Definitely recommended! Not a criticism of the house at all, but I found it a little hard to find, so listen closely to the Google maps directions!
Robert (8/5): Comfortable and functional residence in a magnificent environment. - We came from central Victoria some hours away for an afternoon funeral in Monbulk. We decided to break the journey by staying locally. This place was perfect for our needs. We brought our own breakfast. The environment was magnificent. Very functional house that can support all types of guests. An ashtray was provided for outdoor use to cater to the old smokers amongst us. The birds were wonderful. Because we are old, we were not fond of the beds being so low on the floor. The house was very bland in its decor, but for one night who cares.

Martin (8/5): Very good - Lovely location, spacious clean home, comfortable bed, effective heating Outside lights were off, making arriving in the dark quite difficult. Having the heating off in the middle of the winter meant the house was only 13C when I arrived and took time to warm up.
Chan (9/5): Gorgeous place ! - Beautiful place, surrounded by nature. Clean home that felt like home, spacious and comfortable. Everyone really loved the place ! The driveway is a bit scary to get back up from as it's incredibly steep, but other than that, it's gorgeous!

Hin (10/5): Peaceful home away from home - Great location that is near enough to amenities (short drive to supermarket, petrol, food etc.) yet quiet and peaceful among trees and nature. Beds are comfortable and warm for the winter. Spacious and well-equipped kitchen so we could cook our own meals easily. Washer and dryer are very handy. Friendly owner.

A handrail on the lower 4 steps before the remaining 16 or so steps to entrance would be great also.

Spacious and as described. Maybe it was me but I could not get the Chromecast working so we couldn't enjoy that massive screen (I have done it before other places) I could see that it was linked as we had the same screen but couldn't get the link via of Netflix, Apple etc. although sharing the WiFi. It was too late to contact hosts but I am sure if I had of known earlier and made contact they would have helped as their communication was excellent. Also their was a DVD Player so there was another option.

The folder with all the appliance manuals was especially useful, and the kitchen was fully equipped for preparing meals, with the coffee machine being a delightful morning bonus. Waking up to the peaceful sound of birds was very relaxing. The host was quick to respond to any questions and exceptionally helpful. Overall, a great spot for a family stay.
