Guest Reviews
- Karen (8/5): - Convenient for my needs Not really pet friendly as dog was not allowed inside
As it was wet it would have been good to have some mats inside the doors to wipe your feet on. Such a shame to have wet footprints on the beautiful floors
- Christie (8/5): Clean, spacious and great value for money. - Great location for our event, excellent value for money, clean. Bed was not the most comfortable but overall value was worth it
- Mackie (10/5): - It has everything you need and just a short stroll to shops and not far to drive to other shopping centres and dinning I like it all very comfortable and get price
- Amy (10/5): Cozy, beautifully furnished, perfect for families. - Everything from the easy communication, the very cute KC's around the house (which my kids loved finding!), to the cozy bedrooms and the amazing retro kitchen (the red booth was so cute!!), as well as the generous backyard, we absolutely loved our short stay at King's Cottage. If we ever attend another wedding at Cook's Shed (which is only 6 mins away) we will definitely be contacting Kim again :-) The hot water did take a bit to get to the shower, but that's the only thing.
- Darani (8/5): It was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. - The location was great for our purpose. 8mins from our equestrian coaching course.
3 good size bedrooms for 4 single females
Clean and quaint ….lots of character.
Great stay and facilities for our long days of lectures and study. Access from the driveway could have been better. Needs undercover car parking.
More bench space in kitchen
- Tiz (8/5): Cute cosy home with all you need for a getaway. - Comfortable and cosy, great communication with the host who was very helpful.
- Peter (10/5): We enjoyed our stay - Kim was a wonderful host. Very comfortable cottage.

- Michael (8/5): Enjoyed our stay and the house with its old world decor and modern facilities - The house and its decor which matched the age of the property.
Polished floor boards
Bright linen, towels and cushions Laundry
No coat hangars
- Marissa (10/5): - King Cottage is a great comfortable and cosy place to stay that has all your basic needs and the hosts are very friendly and kind. This was our second time staying here and we're so happy with our stay again! Nothing!
- leah (9/5): Great weekend, definitely reccomended when out this way! - Property was great, we had everything we needed and our host was wonderful. It was just a shame that it was so wet and rainy and the kids could t take advantage of the great outside area. Nothing, it was great
- Deb (10/5): Great Cottage - The cottage was Comfortable, Homely, Clean, Comfortable and close to everything in and around Windsor.
- Michael (8/5): Great, old place but well presented - Nice cosy place The weather
- Steve (10/5): Great location for us and you get the whole house with a fireplace 👌 - We had freedom of the whole house, the fireplace and air con in each room Nothing loved it
- Kate Late (10/5): Amazing value - sleeps 7! - Air con in all bedrooms and lounge room for heating and cooling, fire, bath, spacious, nice linen, off street parking, nice hot water Muddy driveway, no paper for fire lighting, pedal bin missing pedal, internet was down (no Netflix or foxtel), squeaky bed frame, bathroom heat lamp not working
- Marissa (10/5): A great place to stay - King Cottage is comfortable, clean, has all your basic needs, and has very kind and friendly hosts. It was in a great location for where we needed to be and is close to lots of things to see and do. Nothing!
- Kelly (9/5): Exactly what we needed as a young family for a few nights away, quiet and private. -
- Rebecca (10/5): Our home away from home - A most beautiful cottage with such comfortable beds, we had the most restful sleeps. Tastefully decorated with yesteryear charm. Excellent fully equipped kitchen, beautifully manicured gardens. Fully fenced with off street parking. We found a gem in the Hawkesbury that was so reasonably priced and was quite literally our home away from home! 🙏
- Fenella (7/5): Nice place but not pet friendly. - Cute old cottage Advertised as pet friendly, however pets are not allowed inside (under any circumstances). I don’t believe this is ‘pet friendly’ if I had known this before booking I would have booked elsewhere, (no free cancellation) it made the trip stressful as our dog doesn’t normally sleep outside.
- Green (9/5): Superb -
- Annette (10/5): Lovely cottage with everything that you needed - I love the homely environment it was well equipped and the kids could play outside in the beautiful big yard and I love the decor It was a bit dusty underneath the beds
- Freed87 (9/5): Home from home - The cottage was lovely, spacious, clean, and very well-equipped. The beds were super comfortable, and everything we needed was provided. It felt very relaxing and cozy. Kim is an excellent, welcoming host. We would definitely stay again!
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trevor (9/5): Beautiful House. - Lovely home. We didn't have a car when there (long story), 'found it difficult to get a taxi or Uber.
- Karl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jasper (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joan (9/5): Had 2 nights stay, enjoyed our short trip over the Hawkesbury river on the punt. - Liked the cottage, chairs comfortable and beds. Traffic noise early in am and late pm
- Simone (9/5): Great spacious place to stay - Easy access and parking, lots of space, heater in each room (great if the weather is cold), very pleasant location and surroundings. It would have been great to have a bit of milk in the fridge on arrival, as there is no shop nearby.
- Vivienne (7/5): Kings Cottage suited our needs to meet up with family close by, host was super responsive and it made for a stress free - Cute retro cottage, roomy and clean
- Humi (10/5): A cozy, comforting stay, will definitely be back! - Kim is an excellent host! She is communicative and was very responsive and eager to help when we had a minor issue. The cottage is gorgeous, had everything we needed and is very comfortable (the weather was particularly cold during our stay but the heating was effective and Kim provides firewood if you want to light the fire!). It was so nice to stay in a quiet location while still close to local shops, and it was a relief to come back to private and cozy accommodation after big days. Thank you Kim!
- Donna (10/5): King Cottage, our Home away from home! - Kings Cottage was beautiful.
It had everything you needed.
It was an Art Deco Kitchen just like the photos.
The cottage was decorated beautifully.
The cottage was so clean.
It was in a convenient location to Wilberforce, and Windsor.
I slept so well in one of the three bedrooms.
It is pet friendly.
We will definitely bring our puppy next time, he’s only 5 1/2 years old 😀
Thank you, and well done Kim, for providing people with a Home away from Home.
You have done an amazing job. I loved everything.
My husband was awoken with the traffic noise outside.
- Angela (8/5): Great location for nearby wedding. A shame that we didn't have time to light the fire! - The spacious house, comfortable beds. The water pressure in the shower
- Sainters (10/5): Exceptional -
- Benjamn (8/5): We had a lovely stay, would definitely come back. - Very clean, great value for money,a large pet friendly yard, friendly host and loved the old cottage style. We found the small shower to be abit underwhelming and not great on the water pressure.
- Monique (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julia (9/5): Beautiful cottage, excellent value for money. - Beautiful cottage, very spacious. Well equipped. Beds very comfortable. Excellent value for money. The traffic noise in the front bedroom was annoying. Could have done with a mirror in the front bedroom. The bench seats in the kitchen - where we ate our meals - were very hard and would benefit from some padding.
- Augustus (9/5): Comfortable and quaint with most mod-cons. An excellent area with a lovely host. - The cottage was quaint, but quite spacious at the same time. Everything was neat and tidy and very clean. The location was great as a base to explore the area. Most modern conveniences were provided for, which was great. Nothing really, except the heavy vehicle traffic occasionally going past the house, but that wasn't too bad in the end. A couple more hooks on the back of doors or rails in the bathroom would have been handy to hang wet towels on.
- Timothy (10/5): A delightful, fully equipped cottage that was even larger than expected - a great space. - Wonderful cottage with spacious rooms including the three bedrooms, lounge room, dining room plus full eat-in kitchen. Kitchen was excellently equipped with everything you could need and more. Beds were very comfortable and a nice lounge space. Bathroom is a little dated, but everything worked well. The tops of some of the cupboards and shelves were a little dusty (though potentially something only someone of my height would notice).
- Karen (10/5): A beautiful home, in a great location to attend our family reunion - Comfortable and well appointed . This is the perfect house for a long weekend away to explore the Hawkesbury region.
- Samara (10/5): A home away from home, in a wonderful location, central to explore the region - Very easy to.communicate with the owners. Nothing too difficult for them. Good clear instructions for property use
- Kylie (8/5): Fabulous cottage in the Hawkesbury. - Great spot for a Hawkesbury visit. Lovely older house with generous sized rooms, foxtel on the TV and both a bath and shower in the bathroom. There is a fair amount of traffic noise, so if you're a light sleeper, it may not be the right property for you.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hayley (8/5): We enjoyed our stay, cosy cottage in a great location - Location, local horses, bedrooms were cosy, fireplace No WIFI, poor phone reception
- Deborah (8/5): Very good - The convenience to facilities, location and well equiped. The weather was very cold but the heaters worked well. Another bathroom and toilet would have been great if more people had stayed.
- Trent (7/5): Nice location, charming old house. - Nice old house. Location. Lovely wood floor boards. Close to everything. It was a little tired looking, broken cracked bathroom tiles, cracked walls. In one room there were mice scurrying around in the roof. We saw mice in the loungeroom on last night of stay. I mentioned to owner once we left but no reply.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Alex (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jim (9/5): It was a great 2 day stay and I would recommend staying here in the future to our family and friends - Location was close to our family who we visited at the time. The shops were near by which was handy for us. Plenty of room inside and out and the Foxtel was a bonus addition. Although we didn't get to meet our host at the time, she was more than welcoming. As we were travelling with our 90 year old father and he had to use his walker and wheelchair around the home, most of the areas were accessible apart from the bathroom which was a little narrow and the shower recess small. We managed to get him around that though all the same.
- Leanne (9/5): Very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. - well equipped, spacious.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Reid (9/5): Superb - Very clean. Helpful host. Had everthing I needed. Was all good so nil that I didn't like.
- Barbara (9/5): Superb - Spacious, tidy and well equipped cottage. The host lives close to the cottage and was extremely helpful but not at all intrusive. The cottage had everything we needed including a well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, a fireplace with wood provided. Would definitely stay here again. We were completely satisfied with this accomodation.
- Shannon (9/5): homely, comfortable stay - Thankyou - great layout, clean, organised, easy access.
great amenities. bit noisy in the front bedroom with traffic, and a hairdryer would be a great addition!
- Matt (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): Relaxing and refreshing - Quiet semi rural location but short drive to Windsor. Very clean and comfortable house at a great price
