Guest Reviews
- Riordan (9/5): Great for a group stay! - A lovely authentic home in a great location with a beautiful garden. Perfect for a group stay. Well equipped. Friendly welcoming hosts. A few more wine glasses would be good.
- Rebecca (8/5): - The house is nicely decorated with old tools, antiques and historic items, which we loved. Despite being a historic home, it had great wifi. The kitchen is quite small, but it has a dishwasher and is pretty well stocked. The outdoor areas were spacious and had a beautiful view. The walk down to the village was lovely, and so was the village. It was also centrally located to reservoirs and other mountain activities. Three of the bedrooms are separate from the main house, which worked for our group, but might be a problem for some. The beds are very firm, which isn't our preference.
- Joseph (7/5): -
- Diana (10/5): - A very atmospheric large old house in a traditional style. The house is very cozy, with many interesting details, decorative items, and historical artifacts.
Wonderful hosts who stayed in touch the whole time.
Thank you very much for the hospitality! The house is mainly a summer house. The bedrooms have air conditioners for heating, but the common areas can be cold in winter.
It’s best to bring warm clothes.
- Aleksandr (9/5): -
- ELIE (10/5): - The owners are so kind and the place is very authentic and brings you to your roots the family enjoyed it a lot

- Žanete (10/5): - The house is really lovely, and you can have really authentic Cyprus experience. It has many rooms and beds, and we were very comfortable (as two families with kids). The host is very nice and helpful too. It's very quite but friendly village.
- Rūta (10/5): Brilliant stay up in the mountains - Everything was really great, its like a home away from home. The owners are very lovely people, it was super easy to communicate. The house has everything you need even for a big company. Kitchen is equipped fully, even dishwasher is there. The rooms are big enough and comfortable, and the table area upstairs & grill area downstairs are lovely. We had a brilliant time and it's one of the very few accommodations in the mountains that has 5 bedrooms as that's what our company needed. Agros village is very close, so you can combine a trip there as well. We have also asked for a bit later checkout due to our kids nap, and that was not a problem at all. Everything was lovely, I would definitely come back.
- Niki (10/5): We will be back and definitely will recommend! - Its an experience, we adored Mrs. Eleni and Mr. Yiorgos, they made us feel like home, explained the history a of there property and that made it 100 Times more special. The house is very clean and fully equipped. We also wanted to highlight that the mattresses are very comfortable and the whole group had a relaxing get away.
We loved the garden and the patio we enjoyed our breakfast and afternoon coffees under the sun.
- Rafael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aristos (10/5): Exceptional - Very good house and friendly owner
- Esra (7/5): Good - They were very caring and helpful. We had everything we needed at home. The view was beautiful. A solution to our wood needs was found immediately.😊thanks Electrical problems occur when the air conditioners are turned on. needs to be renewed. wood was an extra charge. Even a small amount could be given free of charge on a daily basis. Other than that, the house has everything.
- Olena (10/5): Exceptional - A cosy house to relax Fabulous restored stone house.
Very comfortable and everything you could need is in the house. Spotlessly clean with a great attention to detail! The garden was amazing.
The village is amazing and a good base to discover other villages nearby.
- Elena (10/5): A cozy escape from the city and a pleasant time traveling! - From the check in Mrs. Eleni and Mr. Yiorgos they shared with us the story of the house, (which is over 100 years old), we fell in love with everything.! We had everything that we needed, is fully equipped with all things necessary and we truly did enjoyed the fireplace both on the top and lower level of the house, because the temperature drops at night.
The next day, we picked out some fresh herbed from the garden, had breakfast on the veranda and hiked the village trail.
We will definitely reserve again and this time we will try to bike around the village😉
- Effie (6/5): It was clean but we were soooo cold, we did not enjoy it much - The property was very clean and had everything we needed to cook our food. The property was very cold, it doesn't have central heating, 3 of the rooms had air conditioning but the living room, bathrooms and the one of the rooms that did not have, so they were really cold. One of the bathrooms was sort of outside the area, which made the access to it so inconvenient (too cold!!).
- Persia (9/5): A beautiful quiet traditional weekend! - Beautiful traditional house at an amazing location surrounded by nothing but nature! Really sweet and helpful hosts!
- Roman (10/5): Exceptional - This is a wonderful cozy house! Very welcoming hosts. The house has two large terraces with magnificent views of the village and the mountains.

The view from terrace is breathtaking .Also near the property they have supermarket church and even a mini football stadium with a park if you want to do some sports activities. The lightning i mean in the main living room is little dark

- Alexandros (10/5): Exceptional -
- Faidra (10/5): Exceptional - The calmness and tranquility of the surroundings provided a much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The property itself exuded an inviting atmosphere, with well-maintained grounds and thoughtfully designed interiors. The attention to detail in every aspect of the property was evident, from the comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms to the peaceful outdoor spaces where one could unwind and connect with nature. From the moment we arrived, the host welcomed us with warmth and understanding, as we had encountered delays and arrived later than expected. His kindness and flexibility made us feel instantly at ease. To add to the charm of our stay, the host's father graciously made us delicious coffee and engaged us in delightful conversations. His genuine friendliness and hospitality created a warm and inviting atmosphere that enhanced our overall experience. The combination of a serene location, a welcoming host, and the genuine kindness of his father truly made our stay unforgettable. I highly recommend this property for those seeking a peaceful retreat where genuine hospitality and tranquility converge.
- Irina (10/5): Highly recommended for getaway from the city - It is a very old authentic mountain house, the welcoming family has lived there for decades and everything is made with love. nice to submerge yourself in the previous century, very refreshing. Fully equipped kitchen, fireplace and spacious veranda with barbecue facilities overlooking the mountains - we enjoyed our stay very much! Nice stepped well-groomed little garden attached to the house that my kids liked a lot.
Owner has met us at the church and showed the way to the property, we wouldn't be able to get there by ourselves for sure, sometimes road is very steep as usual for mountain villages in Cyprus.
Definitely recommended for getaway from the city!
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): excellent - The house is located in a quiet and beautiful area surrounded by green. It is a lovely, cosy and spacious house that can easily accommodate 10 people. The hosts, Ms. Eleni and Mr George were very friendly and helpful. The house was clean and fully equipped. We had a great time and will definitely visit it again! n/a
- Daniel (6/5): Beautiful, traditional mountain house. Description is not accurate – See detailed explanations - An old traditional village house, beautifully renovated and originally decorated. It is located right in the heart of the mountains, which adds to the authentic experience.
The house is fully equipped with everything you might need, including smart TV in the living room with free stream service – Great!
The host was very responsive, always available, and offered useful advises.
There is a small local grocery store three minutes’ walk from the house – very useful.
It is impossible to understand from the given description the structure of the house, and some important details are missing. To begin with:
-- The highest floor (+1) is accessible from the yard. It includes a very nice living room with a TV, dining area with a table FOR 8 PEOPLE (extra folding table is available), excellent WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen and a large ventilated shower + toilet, its hot water provided by electrical boiler. THERE IS NO AIR-CONDITIONING ON THIS FLOOR. Heating is possible by a closed fire-place located at the center of the living room (extremely hot, careful with young children!), and is very efficient. We enjoyed it a lot but it does require a bit of effort to maintain.
-- Floor (0) is accessible from the yard, and is also connected to floor +1 by a VERY NARROW spiral staircase, which might be challenging for elderly people. It includes a large bedroom, a medium bedroom, a cozy living room and a small (unventilated…) toilet. Again, NO AIR-CONDITIONING ON THIS FLOOR as well, and it may be heated by an OPEN FIREPLACE. Very efficient and lovely, but young children must be kept safe! Again, it is impossible to understand from the given description the structure of the house, and some important details are missing:
-- Next Floor is (-1), accessible ONLY VIA THE YARD. It includes two small bedrooms, another tiny bedroom, and a toilet + shower. Gas-heating system provides a lot of great hot water, and was basically the only shower we all used (11 of us). There is no WiFi in this floor (as might be understood from the house description). This floor is fully airconditioned (no fireplace), but barely enough to keep it hot during very cold nights, as the doors facing outside are quite basic and provide only limited isolation. We found this entire floor somewhat depressing, everything is VERY BASIC, certainly not as inviting compared to the two higher floors.
-- Most problematic is the electricity infrastructure: out of two air conditioners, water boiler for the shower on floor +1, kitchen oven, cattle, toaster and dishwasher, ONLY TWO CAN OPERATE SIMULTANEOUSLY. All attempts to operate any combination of three or more apparatus immediately caused the electricity power breaker to cut off (luckily it’s easy to put it back on by yourself).
-- Most of 10 beds are not very comfortable, though reasonable. Two more VERY BASIC folding beds are available.
-- Heating floors +1 and 0 will cost about 20Euro per day, depending of course on the weather. Wood is available for purchase in some villages but is NOT straightforward to obtain, so do take that it into your planning.
-- The road connecting the house to the street is VERY steep, and unexperienced drivers might find it challenging. Parking is a bit challenging as well, though manageable once you get the hang of it…
- Ilana (10/5): Exceptional - very cosy place, very sweet people.. pleasant staying with all the comforts
- Alexandra (9/5): Tottaly recommend this! - The house is absolutely spectacular. It really was giving the feeling of a Cypriot cultural museum. The beds were comfortable and we had extra pillows and blankets. The house’s fireplace is amazing, it was very warm and cozy inside. The hosts were really kind and helpful. They showed us around the house and shared some of the house’s history with us. They also recommended us a very nice tavern. We had a great time there! The road to get to the house is kind of dangerous.
Two of the bedrooms and a bathroom are outside of the house, which did not bother us because we were a group of friends but for a family with children might be a little uncomfortable.
- Hamami (10/5): Exceptional - quite
amazing owners
