Guest Reviews
- Jennifer (8/5): Generous Cosy Getaway - Generously Supplied - Lots of towels and glassware.
Very Cosy - Lots of couches and lovely Vistas.
Easy to use Fireplace inside and Fire pit outside
- Patrick (10/5): The farmhouse is lovely and tasteful. Super comfortable for a family of four. - Door was open and keys left on kitchen bench. Master bedroom could get warm on very hot day but it does have a ceiling fan.
- Caitlin (10/5): Beautiful farmhouse and surrounds! - Our stay at Ravenswood Farmhouse was absolutely wonderful- we will definitely be rebooking next time we are coming to Rylstone!
The house was wonderfully spacious for 4 adults, and the surrounding property was gorgeous. We loved waking up to the sounds of the sheep and watching them wander around through the day. The house was beautifully decorated. We visited in late Spring, and I appreciated the ceiling fan in the master bedroom.
The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials and then some! Thanks for having so many different milk varieties, we were travelling with a variety of different dietary requirements, and it was amazing to have. We really appreciated the freshly made bread and jam.
We had a lovely weekend and wish we could have stayed longer. I will need to remember to bring some heavier duty antihistamines for next time!
- Keith (8/5): -
- Chris (9/5): Perfect getaway. - Really pleasant host, amazing location! Beautiful part of the country and great farm location whilst still having the convenience of Rylstone a few minutes away. Everything was good
- Judith (9/5): Beautiful, relaxing farm stay. - Beautiful location, home feels loved, comfy beds with quality linen, comfy lounges, well stocked kitchen, combustion stove jmkeeps the place cosy, many windows looking into beautiful landscape makes it light and bright; hosts only a phone call away and eager to help if you call. Nothing
- Jo (9/5): Great hosts and beautiful views, very relaxing. Look forward to returning - The home was beautifully set out and the fire place was stacked. Milk and bread provided. We felt like home.
- Julie (9/5): - The house was very comfortable, warm and homely with quality towels and bedding. The fresh Bread, milk and fresh jam as well as other essential kitchen needs were a really welcome touch. Both the open fire inside and the fire pit outside were great and the landscape lovely. Clare was a wonderful host. We will return for sure.
- Jeremy (9/5): Amazingly tranquil stay. - Amazing hospitality, and such a warm comfortable home .
- Ian (9/5): Relaxing, and enjoyable. - Well presented. We had some beautiful essential items included which were much appreciated as we were staying a little out from township It was a working farm and we were made very welcome
- Breanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (9/5): Everything we wanted for a weekend away in the country. - Spotlessly clean. Fresh flowers. Cozy fire waiting for us on a cold winter’s night. Really peaceful. Nothing.
- John (10/5): Perfect for friends or family - Delightful cottage with charming details. We ordered a meal from our hosts and it was generous and delicious. This is a great base for exploring the nearby country.
- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely farmhouse, cosy and homely. The host had thought of everything their guests could possibly need or want on their stay.
- Paula (10/5): Perfect place to unwind & relax! -
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable and cosy.
Enough room for the three of us.
Clare supplied breakfast items, much appreciated Nothing
- Adrian (10/5): An amazing location to explore Rylstone and Kandos. - Surprisingly spacious house, full privacy, great amenities. Fresh eggs , milk, jam and butter, fresh bread provided. My wife and I and two of our kids had a very enjoyable stay. Nothing really to dislike
- Geoff (8/5): Looking for clean, comfortable and inviting near Rylstone, then Ravenswood is great value. - Despite being a modest looking cottage from the outside, the inside of the cottage was spotlessly clean and with all the creature comforts one could hope for. Our reason for staying in the area was due to a family wedding at the Elephant Mountain House, which we also fully recommend.
Ravenswood is a large (c.3,000 acres I believe) working farm. Combining the distant views with beautiful flowers growing in the garden, along with many hand picked ones adorning vases throughout the cottage, it made for a really pleasant and relaxing place to stay.
Upon arrival we were delighted to be welcomed by beautiful fresh bread, homemade strawberry jam and butter. Well done Clare. Thanks for making our stay such an enjoyable one with all your really thoughtful touches. N/A
- Delia (10/5): This is a very relaxing, comfortable, and welcoming retreat. - This was a clearly loved cottage with great thought given to all details: the fresh flowers from the garden in the rooms, the well appointed kitchen, good quality bed linens, plentiful garden furniture and freshly laid fire pit. Adults and children were all able to enjoy the house (games cupboard, marshmallow roasting, backyard cricket, reading). The songbirds and blue-banded bees in the flower beds were a delight. The property is 5 minutes drive to excellent yum cha and a very good bakery and good striking distance to Ganguddy. Having free range over such a large and attractive working farm also made the trip special. The hosts are lovely and the whole family enjoyed our 5-night stay. Nothing - no complaints!
- Richard (10/5): I had a lovely time and i will be back soon - Beautifully maintained, spacious and comfortable Nothing, it was fabulous
- Lauren (8/5): Very good -
- Wayne (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (10/5): Absolutely worth it. Would gladly stay again. - House was comfortable, clean and spacious. Large, well-kept garden and patio. Food hampers were delicious. We enjoyed walking around the farm. The owners were very helpful and friendly but never intrusive. A great stay! Nothing.
- Zee (10/5): Exceptional - The fresh air and the scenery surrounding the beautiful cottage/house.
- Blanche (8/5): Our family had a wonderful time. Was a beautiful destination to relax and reset. - Beautiful family farm house. Comfy with beautiful touches, breakfast supplies and wood for indoor and outdoor fire.
- Margaret (10/5): A very pleasant home away from home in the country - beautiful sunny home with excellent facilities nothing
- Jonathan (9/5): This is an amazing place and would certainly visit it again - The location was so peaceful and quiet and the property was a hidden gem.
Being in the midst of a working sheep farm added to the country feeling The gate to the drive is fiddly in the dark especially with the cattle grid. An electric gate to avoid getting out of the car would be a bonus but assume not practical due to the limitation of electricity supply ?
- Paul (10/5): awesome, can’t wait to visit again , thank you Clare. - clean, tidy, tranquil, sound of the cows, sunsets, everything really nothing not to like. This is a personal thing only but we found the bed in the far room extremely hard, and I don’t mind a firm bed.
- Diane (8/5): Very good -
- Joanne (9/5): Wonderful relaxing enjoyable! - Comfortable nice farm stay. Quiet clean and everything you need for a couple of days of down time. Would stay again!
- Brad (10/5): Rural Paradise - A little slice of paradise. For a short time we forgot cities even existed. A lovely well appointed home with stunning rural views all around. A lovely garden to sit in, or snuggle up inside in front of the slow combustion log fire. A well appointed kitchen with all the little extra's you could imagine, like cooking oil and all the utensils needed for cooking, milk, juice, eggs, bread and butter a cheese platter, large assortment of spreads and breakfast cereals. Beautiful furniture and comfy beds and lounges. Nothing we didn't like.
