Guest Reviews
- carmel (10/5): Delightful weekend - never tired of the water & watching the idea flats come & go! - Great spot!!
Loved the beachfront , long tree lined driveway and complimentary water & bubbly!
Thank you!! Only small thing was mocrowave was a bit high for me to use safety!
I got spashed with hot liquid - :(
- Gareth (6/5): Good enough.... - The location is very good I knew from when I booked that there was no air-conditioning, but it would have made my stay way more enjoyable as the fans just blow the same hot air around.
The stickers placed all around the house with don't do this and only do that makes it an uncomfortable setting because before I do or don't do anything I feel the need to have to look for some form of sticker to tell me if I can or can't do something.
The camera's around the outside of the house also make you feel a bit uncomfortable and not want to relax outside and have to constantly think do I have any privacy..And yes I understand it is there for security reasons , but the placement could be better as to not let people think someone is invading their privacy.
Besides the fact that we couldn't really switch of and really relax, it was ok but would be a real treat if the mentioned issues were able to be sorted. I would go back but it wouldn't be one of my first choices as of now.

- Tracey (10/5): A hidden gem in Beachmere!! - Happy tides Beach house was perfect for our little getaway. We had a wedding to attend so location was perfect. We loved our strolls along the beach and the close proximity to all restaurants, cafes and places we wanted to visit.
OMG the view was amazing from the balcony. It was stunning! All amenities available in the home with a nice bottle of bubbles on arrival.
We would highly recommend for anyone to stay here. We will definately stay again. It was a little cold at night with only a couple of electric heaters so maybe a split system would cater better for both winter and summer months. Plenty of blankets were supplied though.
- Claire (10/5): Friends getaway - The location was excellent and the house itself was fabulous. Views of the ocean amazing... just a shame it was very windy and a bit wet to be able to enjoy the house and location at its best. Lovely touch with a complimentary bottle of wine and water đź’ś. We will definitely be back đź’ś Place was great but we could have done with some oil for cooking but couldn't fault anything else
- Tory (6/5): It was enjoyable apart from the property being unclean. - Excellent spot on the water. Plenty of room for a family. Good size bedrooms When we first arrived, the property gave the impression of being unclean. The floors were sticky, which made it uncomfortable to walk around barefoot. To our surprise, we found sand in the bed, which made it feel as though the space hadn’t been properly cleaned before our arrival. In the downstairs shower, the drain was clogged, causing water to pool around the shower, which was a inconvenience.
- Tristane (8/5): A quiet relaxing stay by a fascinating tidal beach. - I was enticed by the water views. We loved walking out to look at the Soldier crabs. Amazing. My family felt quite relaxed in the home . We had almost everything we needed. I loved the mugs! So many places have little cups.... Thanks for the water bottles. Appreciated. Loved that each bedroom had a way to look outside and let air in. Breeze was beautiful. Also loved that it was near the Sandstone Point Resort - that place is awesome. We'd come back for sure. Windows could be cleaned a bit better so there is nothing taken away from the beautiful view. We thought a Weber Q could be on the top deck as we had a family dinner and my husband had to stay away from everyone down stairs to cook. Just a suggestion! Also we had steaks for dinner. The knives and forks are pretty blunt, maybe an update may be required.
- Patrina (9/5): Superb -
- Cassandra (10/5): Our stay was perfect, easy to organise stunning view and location, access to beach and local cafes. - Modern, clean, has everything you need and stunning view and location right on the beach. It wasn’t too much of an issue for our stay but if it was any hotter air conditioning at the property would have been nice.
- Mellisa (10/5): Exceptional - Location superb so relaxing, decor was lovely, layout of house was fabulous. Dishwasher found power button had to guess which was the start button.
It worked wonderfully.
Maybe a laminate of instructions?
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
- Brauer (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (10/5): Beautiful house was immaculate and in a great location. Loved it - The directions and pictures were a great help.
- Jennifer (7/5): Great place to stay, just needs much better cleaning and a few tweaks as suggested. - Great location and most things we needed.
Good supply of cutlery, glassware and crockery.
Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and cookware.
Great living areas and provision of chairs and tables, furniture was comfortable. The advertised professional cleaning I would question as there was evidence of cockroaches on shelving in the laundry/bathroom and kitchen. All glassware and flatware smelt of cockroaches. Needs cockroaches baits throughout the house.
For the bedrooms downstairs there needs more railings/hooks in the laundry for at least a hand towel and a soap dish in each bathroom, upstairs and downstairs.
Bbq needs maintenance as not all burners worked.
No clothes hanging space in downstairs bedrooms apart from back of doors.
No provision to make ice ie ice trays are inexpensive and would be appreciated especially in the summertime.
Downstairs shower pressure was weak and more towel hanging required.
- Kim (10/5): Great location footsteps from the beach - Location location location..Beachmere a bit out of the way but just how we liked it…lots of beach walks. 🚶‍♀️
Throws when a bit cold. 🥶
Complimentary bubbles 🥂
Plenty of room.
Verandah both sides to chase the sun.
Comfy beds.
Nice and private.
Quiet.
Great pub for a meal and a little cafe (Silver Spoons) in town where we had a 5 course degustation which was yummy..great find.
Not far to drive to sunny coast or Brisbane for day trip.
I usually wouldn’t spend anywhere near the amount for a stay but I’m glad I did. Hot plates not the best..can’t get a good hot temp for a steak..
Maybe a tv upstairs as well so don’t impose on downstairs area.
Wiping of fridge and cupboards..could see the marks easy and looked messy.
If you need coat hangers bring your own.
- Ortega (10/5): Thank you for being a great host! -
- Jeanne (8/5): Beautiful slice of paradise in a quiet and tranquil beachside town. - The waterfront location and the layout of the house. Lovely beach decor through out. Gas BBQ The kitchen hot plates don’t really work.
- Jodie (5/5): Passable - The location & view were lovely The place wasn't clean, the French doors are jammed shut, downstairs windows & doors had dirt build up & obviously weren't cleaned prior to our arrival. The kettle worked twice & then died. Was promised a discount that wasn't given
