Guest Reviews
- Danielle (9/5): Cool beach house - Great location, within walking distance to shops and jetty. Cool little house with plenty of laid-back character.
Comfortable stay on the beautiful Freycinet peninsula- comfy beds, and had everything we needed in the kitchen and laundry (except enough pegs).
We had a resident echidna, and lots of birds. Good internet connection too, if required. FYI the driveway is pretty steep, and some windows (including ensuite) didn't have blinds for privacy. There were enough overgrown plants in the way though to stop the neighbours getting an eye full 🫣
- Miriam (7/5): -
- Matty (8/5): Very good -
- Tam (8/5): Great location walking distance to all local eateries, clean well-appointed accommodation - Great location walking distance to all local eateries
- Janita (8/5): Very good -
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and comfortable, walking distance to Coles Bay town centre, great free WiFi. TV and Fetch remote controls in the bedroom had no batteries.
- Persis (5/5): Passable - The location was great. I didn’t like that they waited to the last minute to send me lock box number. We are traveling and don’t have WiFi all the time. I had to call to get this info.
- Maureen (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lyn (8/5): Very good - Amazing bush views. Well equipped with everything we needed We couldn’t get internet
- Laura (5/5): Unsatisfactory due to multiple reasons. Could be better if owners attended to feedback - Good location could walk to shops/bay. The spa was nice. Good hot water supply. We were not advised Telstra was doing upgrades for our stay which may cause intermittent internet outages. We had no internet or TV for the whole stay. The bbq would not light and the stove exhaust fan doesn’t work. There was no coffee mentioned as shown in photos. There was thick dust on bedside table and the place lacked a general sense of love or care as mentioned in prior posts. The back outdoor area needed a good sweep and chairs dirty with cobwebs the wooden chairs decidedly unsafe. Not great value for money.
- Sally (2/5): Beautiful scenery very poor lodgings - Not applicable Beds were very uncomfortable, no tv or internet available, pictures on the advertising did not match the actual, window blinds were broken, air conditioning did not work and the house was not very clean
- Jr (5/5): Would stay again if everything mentioned was remedied. - The property is spacious & it was clean. The location suited our needs. Some TLC definitely required. Blinds that have parts missing so you can't have them down but open. No wardrobes. One garment rail provided in 1 of the bedrooms. Shrubs up to the bedroom windows need cutting back. We were there a particularly windy evening & the shrubs were scraping on the bedroom windows all night. There are some sensor lights in the front driveway which came on during the wind all night disrupting sleep for the occupants of the front bedroom. Only 1 hand towel provided per couple, which I personally find mean. The fencing all around the property could do with upgrading.
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Heidi-marie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mark (6/5): Wouldn’t stay again. - Had everything we needed Didn’t look as great as in the photos, no fly screen door on front sliding door, venetian blinds bent, batteries flat in two remote controls.
Wasn’t great value for money and compared to other accommodation we stayed in while in Tasmania it was expensive.
- Tony (7/5): Good - Very spacious. Doona was hot and no alternative.
- Chanel (10/5): Great spot to stay so you can explore the local sights easily. - Great location to go and explore the sights from. The hosts were very accommodating when I realised I’d booked the wrong dates and they happily changed the booking for me. That it took so long to fill the spa!
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (8/5): Comfortable and handy to town - Good location and handy to all locations Bed very low in bedroom 1
- Mitchell (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place nice spa comfortable bed close to everything thanks for a very pleasant stay definitely recommend 😊
- Kelly (8/5): Very good - Location was absolutely wonderful!
In walking distance to the little town centre.
Lovely seeing the Hazards from the side of the deck.
Spa bath is huge and that and the location was the draw card for me.
Had absolutely everything you could need for a self contained stay, nothing lacked and would be perfect for a small family!
Though I didn't use it, it was great to see a BBQ on the deck which I would love to use next time when the weather is better.
It was good value for money considering you wouldn't need to eat out if you preferred cooking at home Though it was nice and clean it would make such a difference to have the many scuff marks scrubbed off the walls as unfortunately you can't help but notice them when you walk in the front door.
The left hand side of the electric blanket didn't work unfortunately.
Pillows quite flimsy, though clean, you may want to bring your own if you prefer something firmer.
- Kim (4/5): Unsatisfactory- Needs a lot of maintenance - The location was great. There was no working aerial for the TV. You couldn't adjust the temperature on the aircon. A dryer would be handy, as we had to take washing to the laundromat in Bicheno to dry due to weather. Nobody we interacted with spoke good English, the technician sent out didn't speak any English, was so difficult. Sensor light in the driveway didn't work. Solar path lights didn't work. There's no number 40 to identify the property, and the only sign was hidden in the hedge. Was advised to seek compensation due to issues, but as yet, we have received nothing. Privacy blinds are either broken or missing altogether. No coffee was provided for the coffee machine, only 4 sugar sachets for 2 people staying 3 nights. The toilet roll holder in the main bathroom is almost falling out of the wall. The tap in the ensuite is leaking. Insufficient towels are provided for length of stay and to accommodate 2 bathrooms.
- Watson (8/5): Cosy hideaway with great service. - Clean and warm. The rain 😂
- Diane (9/5): Superb -
- Yvonne (8/5): Short stay comfortable clean - Spa and 2 bathrooms Nothing
- Grace (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (7/5): Good - No breakfast Needs a bit of maintenance
- Tree (10/5): Exceptional - Great location.
- Angela (9/5): Superb -
- Jannette (6/5): It was ok not memorable - Nice location Property is in need of a really good refurbishment. Garden very overgrown, so bushes making lots of noise against the bedroom window. Inside needs repainting and a good deep clean
- Megan (10/5): Relaxing and very comfortable - The location was excellent with beautiful garden around the house and also the bush across the road with a great view of the national park as well No everything was great enjoyed the spa bath
- Simone (8/5): Very good -
- Ash025 (9/5): Superb - Everything was very clean.,.location was fantastic...had everything you needed. Access to the front steps was a little unsafe especially when carrying luggage...
Beds could do with new mattresses...
None of this detracted from our lovely stay...just things that should be made aware of.
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Joel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Alicia (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful spot with lovely sunny rooms. Plenty of warm blankets and a lovely garden with a bush walk right behind.
- Jamie (8/5): Very good - the music when entering was lovely, it was clean and the spa was a bonus after our long walk need a chess board or a deck of cards
- Angie (10/5): Exceptional - The house is a 10 min walk to the jetty and shops. Nicely laid out comfy and all was easy with the booking.
- Marilyn (9/5): Perfect. Great to be able to cook a home cooked meal. - Everything.
- Alyssa (9/5): Superb -
- Gregory (8/5): great house for a few nights in Coles Bay - good beach house style property with some views of Freycinet NP from front deck needs a bit of maintenance around exterior of property - front deck railing, rear verandah.
- Penny (8/5): Very good - Excellent location for trek to Wineglass bay and the 11 km loop. Good for restaurant in the evening, walking distance. Good property in an excellent location. Let us have the key code at least 24 hours beforehand, not 10 minutes. Worry if no signal on mobile phone and therefore no means of access.
- Kieron (1/5): did not enjoy it in the slightest a diisgrace stayed at a apartment in central hobart for less money - none supplied The house is dirty lacking any kind of basic maintance
over grown garden lawn needed mowing .bushes need triming
inside dirty windows, window sills with dead flies and dirty, missing light shade in lounge ,blinds in main bed room need replacing have mold on them ,main bed room no where to hang cloths ,bed as hard as a rock .the bath room shower has no where to place soap etc in the shower second bed room cheapest storage unit to hang cloths over felt very grotty
- Owen (6/5): Pleasant - Location was good the property was a bit tired and in need of some maintenance
- Alan (8/5): Very good -
- Clive (7/5): had a nice time. - it suited our requirements nicely could do with a little tlc otherwise ok.
- Judith (10/5): a home away from home - great location cosy clean and just what we needed … a home away from
home the Venetian blinds are a little old and could be replaced but really not a biggie ….
- Kris (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (5/5): Passable - comfortable dirty. only superficially clean. very dusty.
- Donna (8/5): Very good - location
clean
2 bathrooms beds weren’t overly comfortable
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb - Great location close to Coles Bay shops/cafes and only a short drive into the national park. Great size house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Main bathroom very spacious, ensuite had large spa bath. Good size deck with views of the Hazards, good size living space, bed very comfy.
- Jonathan (8/5): Very good - Very spacious, albeit only two of us. Room for up to 5 people. Good central split system. Ill fitting blinds especially bedrooms and bathrooms. Light seeps in really early in the morning. No place to hang coats in room, only the spare room had a hanger. Very tiny shallow hooks on doors.
- Carol (4/5): Until the many maintenance issues are addressed, I won't be recommending this property. - Location was good. There are quite a number of maintenance issues that need addressing. Master bedroom window doesn't open. Electric blanket doesn't work. AC remote face plate broken. No light in fridge/freezer. Rust in the dishwasher, towel rail and toilet roll holder. Safety rail definitely needed to get in/out of spa bath which houses the shower head. Dishwasher leaks. Balcony gate needs a new latch...strong winds had it banging consistently. No free to air tv channels available. There is a tv tower directly opposite the property, so I assume the tv aerial at the property needs maintenance.
