Guest Reviews
- GAIL (10/5): -
- Joshua (3/5): Very disappointed - The property was very close to our event location. The space was filthy, it hasn't been dusted in what looks like months. The bed head was resting on wooden boards and covered in a layer of dust, the fabric was held together in some areas by staples, which I did cut my finger on before noticing their existence. The property is up for sale, I didn't expect for this to impact our stay but while we were getting ready for the event we came for, a real estate agent knocked on our door and asked to give a family a tour... We obliged but were very shocked, I don't expect to be interrupted during a private stay. The photos haven't been updated in what looks like years, the fabrics on most surfaces are stained. There were rags behind the side tables and clothes left under the lounge and the side table lights didn't work. There is also a Chromecast that hangs on the tv which is hardly mounted to the wall that you cannot use or connect to, the lack of reception and wifi is really a pain. There also appears to be blood stains on the wall and chair I can only upload one photo unfortunately but that made us feel very uncomfortable. I was really hoping for a quiet stay in a clean house, I got half of this. The area is beautiful and the location is perfect. It's just a shame about the state of the property that we stayed in. The 'minibar' is a selection of tea and coffee and some out of date spiced tea, when I asked the staff if the property had a steamer I was told yes, however there was none. Luckily there was a Kmart in Bowral which is close by and I was able to buy one for our wedding garments. Overall the location was convenient and quiet but the state of the property far outweighed that and unfortunately led to a very unpleasant experience.
- Gary (8/5): It was tastefully presented clean and comfortable - If was quite and comfy No entertainment TV was useless old only few rubbish channels
Poor internet 🛜 very bad signal
- Lea (9/5): Great place for a short stopover - Comfortable bed.
Quality linen.
Small enclosed yard for the dog.
Everything you need is there. Overhead lights unreliable - but owners did call an electrician after the weekend.
Seems odd washing the dishes in the bathroom sink.
- Mark (8/5): Idealic location and a chance to recharge. - The peacefulness and the care that had gone into making it so comfortable I liked it very much and the only issue I can think of is the limited tv stations that can be accessed; in some ways not a bad thing!
- Charlie (10/5): -
- Debra (8/5): Comfortable nice accommodation - Good size. Nice decor Could have supplied milk for coffee -even UHT or powdered.

- Anne (10/5): This is an unexpectedly luxurious and comfortable space - good value for money! - After staying in bare-bones accommodation for much of my trip, a night at Highlands Riad was an unexpected luxury! The space was private, warm, inviting and well appointed. I will definitely stay here again! Nothing... it was perfect.

- Cathy (9/5): Very comfortable and welcoming room, well presented and maintained. - Lovely room, very comfortable and immaculately kept. Loved the tea and coffee making options, especially the cups and mugs of a decent size, often they're tiny and I like a good sized cuppa in the morning!
- Jennifer (8/5): Thank you - we had a restful night in Riad and look forward to returning . - Comfortable bed / lovely and clean/ quiet location /self contained unit behind main house - private.
Well equipped and nice extra touches such as ice in freezer and body lotion in the bathroom/nice big bath towels. 😀 I don’t like using the bathroom sink for washing kitchen items.
- Christine (8/5): A hidden oasis - Breakfast was not included but they have an excellent selection of tea and coffee available. Bed was big and comfortable. Ample bedding and towels. Lovely big bathroom with large shower. Absolutely fabulous outdoor terrace area with seating undercover. Peaceful garden environment, so tranquil. Downside was no internet access and although it said there was streaming services available, they were not.
- Kaitlyn (9/5): A Comfortable homely stay. - The bed was extremely comfortable, all the little things were thought of example supplied umbrellas (not that we needed them) options of various teas and coffee, the Xmas touch - cute. Outdoor chairs need an upgrade
- Carol (9/5): Accomodation with a difference! - Property is quirky Morro an style . Reminded of our trip to Morocco. Everything you could possibly think of is provided. Breakfast cereal and milk is an extra that was appreciated. Lovely area with garden out side. Being able to have our pet is absolutely necessary for us. Nothing.

- Susan! (10/5): Fabulously Quiet and Comfortable - Great place to stay. Very quiet, had everything you could need supplied - down to cotton buds and tissues! A lovely selection of breakfast cereals to choose from and milk. Huge, comfortable bed and air-con / heating. It has a lovely, private courtyard with a table and chairs. You'll need a car although it isn't far to walk into town it is a bit of a hill to walk back. There was nothing to dislike.
- Gary (8/5): Met expectation and would stay again. - Very Clean and Comfortable and located in a nice quiet area. Wi Fi was fluctuating and reception low. Very low telephone reception but that could have been the telcon provider I was using
- Bhuiyan (10/5): Excellent Stay - The residence was very clean, inviting, and great value for money.
- Colette (9/5): A good place to stay. - We liked everything.
Wheelchair accessible with room to move. The bathroom is a little difficult to manage for someone with movement restrictions.
A wifi password would have been good.
The owners were lovely and made up for these small things.
- Christine (8/5): Bed was very comfortable and shower and toilet. - Location was central. Breakfast was not provided only cereal. No milk no butter no bread.
- Nadienne (8/5): Comfortable and quiet stay. - Comfortable room with all the amenities you could need for a short stay. The room was quiet and it was super easy to come and go as desired. Courtyard was fully enclosed and the household cats came to say hello in the morning. Shower was a little dirty on the floor. Some of the plates needed another wash and the kettle was dirty.

Lovely gift on arrival
Nice quiet peaceful location
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Graeme (3/5): Good location, the house layout with their other rental was very poor and it smelt terrible. - The main bed was comfortable. The fact that we could hear everything the person in the other apartment was saying, well after 1am and in the morning right near our heads in bed made sleeping very disrupted and terrible. The house also smelt of cat urine and the cats were crying outside as they couldn’t come in. Also a neighbour came looking for the owner complaining as he had put stuff on her side of the fence.
- Ross (8/5): Very good -
- James (8/5): Very comfortable refuge on a rainy weekend. Would happily stay again. -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Fantastic. We had all the comfort and facilities we needed in a great location. Shops are close by. - The location was great for accessing the things we wanted to do. Loved the eclectic decor. The facilities such as breakfast, bathroom, beds was excellent. We had a private courtyard which was lovely. Wi-Fi, huge TV, comfortable seating and dining. Blockout window furnishings would be good.
- Megan (9/5): Very comfortable with everything we needed. - Very clean and comfortable in a quiet area but walking distance to town. Would prefer the washing up sink to be in the kitchenette area. Only because there were 4 of us sharing the bathroom.
