Guest Reviews
- Josephine (9/5): -
- adele (8/5): Beautiful surrounds, clean, comfortable and quiet. - Nice quiet spot, comfy bed, full bathroom, close to Main Street. Creaky floor, grounds a bit messy.
- Roz (8/5): calming and relaxing - easy of getting to the location, simplicity ofthe set up, the fire place, nice kitchen, loved the bathroom. the toaster was not working too well.
- Deanne (9/5): - Close to shops and nice, quiet location A little run down, but overall it was good
- Michelle (9/5): Comfortable 2 bedroom house in central location - Location was excellent. Street was nice and quiet and only 5 minutes drive into town.
Our kettle stopped working and I reached out to our host who was very quick to respond and resolve for us. The communication was always timely and very helpful.
The house had all we needed and was comfortable. We didn't spend any time outside (due to the heat) but, if we had wanted to, the outdoor area probably would not have been suitable as it was not very clean. There is only a front deck and nothing in the backyard. There was an outdoor setting (in front yard), but looked like it hadn't been used in some time. Nothing. We were happy with the house and its location and it met our needs.
- Sonia (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing :) - Cosy, tidy, great location, well equipped.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, very comfortable, beautiful surroounding
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
- Naman (8/5): Very nice and love it . - It would be much batter if I could use wifi in the house . No wifi and no fire out side other wise it’s a perfect location and service to come back .
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosy and clean. Had everything we needed. Had a great stay here.
- Beau (8/5): Tranquil and relaxing stay. - The place was large and location was great. Nothing to do with the property, but the next door neighbour was opening and closing his car door all the time very early Saturday morning for a good hour while we were sleeping and his carport was right next to the bedroom.
- Colleen (9/5): Very pleasant and comfortable - It’s homely feeling Nothing
- Penelope (8/5): Very good - We loved the outlook from the deck and the ease of getting to and from Halls Gap. Equipment in the kitchen was lacking some items that would have made cooking easier.
- Veronique (8/5): Overall good stay - Good set up Cutlery and plates/glasses not enough. No microwave dishes. The high bed was making noise when the person sleeping at the top was moving. Very annoying
- Colleen (6/5): Pleasant -
- Joanne (9/5): Beautiful - Everything x it was warm comfy clean close to everything The neighbours were noisy very early in the morning. We really wanted to sleep in but were woken by the neighbour outside our bedroom window and the other side had builders working so not as peaceful in the verandah
- Lindy (7/5): Good - Good location. Warm, snug house with fire
- Tara (8/5): Very good -
- Kerrie (8/5): Very good - Location, lots of room Not enough fire lighters and no electric blanket
- Kit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Colleen (10/5): We had a wonderful time. - No breakfast included in price. Property was in a quiet location. We walked into Hall’s Gap but it was a little bit further than advertised. Nothing about the property that we didn’t like.
- Anonymous (7/5): Comfortable, well-appointed, clean on the inside but no WIFI and BBQ hadn’t been cleaned. - Comfortable, excellent towels, hot showers. Clean inside. Well-equipped kitchen. No WIFI. BBQ cooker looked like it had never been cleaned.
- Michelle (8/5): we will be back - was quiet and well equipped. Bed was very comfortable
- Gerard (8/5): Very good -
- Malcolm (9/5): A great place to stay in Halls Gap - We had an enjoyable stay at Serene Vista. The day before we arrived we received the code to the key box at the front door and access was easy. The house is well laid out with a large living / dining / kitchen area, two good sized bedrooms and separate bathroom and toilet. There were plenty of cooking facilities if you wanted to cook. The air conditioning worked well because the nights were cold. The house is set one street back from the main road. The street was full of pot holes. This is not really a problem if you take it easy.
- Lauren (7/5): Good - Excellent quiet location, good ambience, very warm comfy beds, responsive host, great outdoor space and facilities, value for money. Would stay again. Some crockery cooking dishes to use in the oven would have been appreciated as we cooked a few nights.
- Lei-lani (8/5): Great place for a nice weekend away - Cozy with lots of wildlife. The fire was very nice. The signs with instructions felt like overkill. The kitchen could be better stocked.
- Windmills2.0 (10/5): Cozy, calm and relaxing - Everything was spick and span, we had comfy beds to sleep in, and the log fire kept us nice and toasty. The property is very close to the Halls Gap centre, but not so close that the noise from the caravan park reached us. Across the main street, at the cultural centre, are a few very nice short walks as well, which was bonus. It was a good base from which to do day hikes. The kitchen is well equipped, and it was easy to self-cater. There was no hair dryer although it was listed as one of the amenities. Both my friend and I had to contend with wet hair on Saturday night because of that (we left ours at home, because who travels with a hair dryer if you don't need to.)
The extractor fan in the bathroom is quite noisy! And not very effective. Not a major issue, but disconcerting to wake up to.
- John (8/5): Perfect - Great location
- Steven (2/5): Very poor - poorly maintained
