Guest Reviews
- Josh (10/5): - Perfect location, unreal view of the hazards, love the feel of the place, so quaint and cosy, made me feel instantly relaxed.
- Robyn (8/5): Beautiful stay in the heart of Coles Bay - Ideal location close to the national park, beside the harbour and very close to restaurants, a gorgeous ice creamery and the local pub! Very comfortable bed, staff very easy to communicate with. Loved the beachy decor Nothing!
- Wendy (7/5): -
- Mark (8/5): Comfy home with spectacular views. - Fantastic location. I could see the changing colours of The Hazards from the lounge. The kitchen was well equipped. It felt very homely.Good washing machines and clothesline. The lounge has a few stains on it.
- fred (8/5): Excellent location nice and quiet and picturesque.Great walks - Location Very hard to communicate with the management as they are not on site and not around to assist .if you have a problem it was other quests have not experienced that problem. The front door flys screen needs repairing .
- Mark (8/5): - Great location, lovely views, nice lounge area Kitchen and bathroom are clean and spacious but very dated. Would benefit from a refresh to be more in keeping with the rest of the place
- Caroline (9/5): Very relaxing - Modern, clean, central. View was not same or as good as on Booking.com
- Ann Louise (7/5): We enjoyed the view and local amenities but sadly felt unhappy with the property as a whole . - The summer shack is in a lovely position with an amazing view and close to nice cafe and bar. Sadly I was disappointed that the property did not look as lovely as the photos showed on booking.com site. My main comment is that the bathroom was indeed the utility room. Stepping out of the shower which was by the washing machine and utility sink did not feel good to me. And there was also no toilet roll holder - which I have noticed has been commented on before. I am sorry to have to write all this but I did feel a bit let down and did not think it was worth what we had paid.
- Ciara (10/5): Great accommodation in Coles Bay! - Exactly what is advertised. Really well kept cabin , super hot shower and comfy beds. Perfect location with good access to national park trails. No complaints.
- Kim (7/5): - Good location Poor communication
We have sent them 2 emails about a week apart
One was to let them know that there was no toilet roll holder and that having the toilet roll on the floor was unhygienic. We asked for a reply but no reply received
The other was about lost property. Again no reply
The house itself was fine but the administration’s communication skills leave much to be desired
- Nelson (9/5): Quality Retro - My husband and I loved staying at The Summer Shack.
The location was perfect. It was two minutes away from Geographe cafe. The shack was clean and very comfortable.
The views from the lounge room and main bedroom are spectacular. There wasn't anywhere to put away or hang your clothes in the main bedroom
- Tom (7/5): - Good location & lovely views. Available equipment & amenities were basic & dated.
- Luke (8/5): -
- Michelle (8/5): Enjoyed the place a lot & the great location. Such a beautiful part of the world. - Comfortable The gas bottle in the bbq was empty & we had to cook chops on the grill instead - dangerous
- Jon (9/5): Superb -
- Cara (6/5): View and location! - The view and location were brilliant. Fantastic shops nearby. Fire was lovely. Heaters were sufficient. Some nice decor. Quilts were warm. AGAIN the view was insanely good.
Be prepared for terrible street appeal when you arrive, the front yard and facade are lack luster (including a rabbit problem) but it does improve a little inside, although still lacking attention to detail. Scratched pots and pans, yellow stained curtains and couches, floors covered in dust under rugs and couches, strange bathroom/toilet/laundry situation, kids bed frame was very grubby. No toilet roll holder.
The view is amazing! So you just need to be prepared and know that they have taken very good marketing photos for this property. If you value location and view then this will be fine for you!
I normally wouldn’t be so picky but I had a sour taste left in my mouth after the price we paid and felt like the photos online didn’t reflect the property correctly.
- Carmel (10/5): Comfortable and complete little home close to everything - Beautiful views and really comfortable. Great little place with everything we needed. Walk to coffee shop and cafes. Loved the warmth and welcoming music for our arrival. Nothing. Loved it. The house doesn’t look “amazing” from the outside but the inside is lovely.
- Jackie (10/5): Excellent property in a super convenient location. - The location is fantastic. A 1 minute walk to the local shop, icecream shop and restaurant. Lovely views of the Hazards and a 5 minute walk to Pennicott Wine Glass Bay Cruise terminal. It was a home away from home. It had all the facilities that we needed for our 2 night stay. We would definitely stay here when visiting Coles Bay again.
- Randy (7/5): Wonderful place close to Freycinet National Park - Good location close to Freycinet National Park, restaurants and grocery store. It had a fully supplied kitchen. Too much light came through the curtains in the morning.
- Tanja (8/5): Cozy, spacious place, very well equipped and very good located in Coles Bay close to Freycinet NP. - Host were very helpful on phone and explained how to find the key. The property itself is spacious and cozy. We did not need the kitchen but it was well equipped. Washing maschine was very helpful. Property has a nice view and is located close to restaurants and beaches. Mosquito protection at the windows had some holes. Bunk bed in the second sleeping room is good for children but not so comfortable for adults.
- Rebekah (8/5): Very good - The instructions on how to get to the property are wrong. It leads to a different house. Took us a bit longer to find where we were meant to be going
- Maree (8/5): Very good - Great location and the seafood was fabulous.
- Amanda (10/5): Fantastic - excellent location, very clean and comfortable. Hosts excellent to deal with. leaving
- Vance (7/5): Location is great, comfy a few little improvements needed - Location was excellent with a view of the Hazards and close to the shops. No blackout curtains in the bedroom with broken blinds, no wine glass provided, wood box was empty, front screen door was nearly impossible to open, NO toilet roll holder!
- Sarah (10/5): We loved staying here and would stay again! - The house was clean, warm and inviting and had everything we needed for our stay. The views were beautiful and just as pictured.
- Alex (9/5): Superb -
- Jade (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Shenon (8/5): Very good -
- Ali (6/5): Nice small stay in cute shack, could do with some loving though. - Location was good. Cozy little shack/beachy vibes. Attention to detail with their cleaning!! Spiders, mosquitoes and rabbits are an issue. As well as ants but that’s common!
- Charles (8/5): Very good -
- Damir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lauren (9/5): Superb -
