• Anuradha (10/5): Perfect stay for a weekend away - Tony was such a lovely host. He made check-in really easy and was so calm and patient while showing us around. It honestly made us feel relaxed straight away and set the tone for the whole stay. The cottage was perfect for a little weekend reset. It was cosy, had everything we needed, and the gloomy weather just made it feel even nicer. We’d definitely come back again and would happily recommend it to family and friends <3

• Dianne (10/5): Keep it quiet! The best cottage in Daylesford. - Everything! This is our 3rd time staying in this charming cottage. Beautifully fitted out with every minor detail thought of. And of course the stunning outlook over the lake is the best in Daylesford. The price went up considerably when payment was taken, due to increased Victorian government taxes. Not happy but will stay again in spite of this. The host Tony is SO lovely he responds immediately with any questions you might have, and he apologised for the price increase.

• Tony (9/5): Great place for a getaway - It has a really nice homely feel to it. Small and very cosy. Supplied pretty much everything you would need, which was great. The bedding was a bit rough on the skin. Electric went out at one point and no hot water for half an hour. Didn't like the fact you can't use the fire place. I wish it was in use.

• Monica (10/5): Beautiful location and decor, this cottage was cosy, warm and inviting. - The location was stunning, set directly on the lake, with beautiful views and yet a short walk into town. The cottage had a beautiful decor with super comfy beds and lovely linen. The kitchen was fantastic offering us snacks as a welcome gift and was set up with all we would need to cook our own meals if required. The laundry was also available to us. Games, books and magazines were also left for us to enjoy. Being spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, this really was a home from home...we LOVED it and will be back!!! There was NOTHING that we did not like except having to leave

The cottage had everything we could have needed or wanted - the hosts have really thought of everything. The cottage was clean,lights and heating were on in anticipation of our arival. The location was excellent and very quiet. The views were spectacular with ready access to the lake. Like any property in Daylesford and surrounds there are a few steps to negotiate mainly inside the cottage. The path down to the lake from the cottage is a bit steep but there are other ways to get to the lake. This is really not an issue, but just something visitors might like to be aware of.

Even nicer than the photos (bathroom has been renovated since with a great walk in shower.) All inclusions/ linen/ toiletries were of a high quality. Generous provision of a large range of kitchen & pantry items (inc. Nespresso Pods & T2 tea). Fantastic deck and comfortable living room both with a pleasant view of the Lake & easy access out for walks. Chilly weather during our stay but heating was very effective. Tony our host was most accommodating and communicative. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Nothing - was perfect for us

The beds were comfortable. Luxe products used throughout the property. We loved our welcome treats. Nice and toasty inside from the cold weather. Tony was great to deal with also. We would definitely love to return. The only thing with going as a group of women was having one bathroom/ toilet, would be great to have another powder room but not a big deal breaker.

Simple, cosy, piles of gorgeous warm blankets, super comfortable beds with lovely linen sheets. We had the best time- walking around the lake, cooking up wintry dinners. Great communication with the host. Will be back for sure. -

We were only 2 people but we each had our own room with double bed and lovely bed linen. The house has good heating so you can be assured of being comfortable. The host was very helpful which we really appreciated. We would highly recommend. nothing!

House was very clean and the outside balcony, BBQ and backyard overlooking the lake was very peaceful. Mood Lighting meant it was very dark, making night time reading difficult and a bedside lamp in the third bedroom would have been good otherwise excellent in all other respects.

Was a bit cold in the bedrooms, the heater didn’t quite reach that end of the house/vents wouldn’t work in bedrooms. No driveway or proper parking, just grass/mud which was hard to navigate without stepping in mud, car mats are filthy!!!

• Angela (9/5): The property is right on the lake with more amenities than most could possibly use. - The property is in one of the best pockets of Daylesford, and truly connects straight into the lake. The view is magic and honestly breathtaking in Autumn. It can be enjoyed whether you're braving it out on the deck or staying cosy in the lounge/ dining room. The house has every little thing you could possibly need- the kitchen is particularly well appointed. Tony was lovely to deal with. Entry was easy and the property was very clean and scented beautifully. The linen on the beds is divine :) really lovely, fresh-smelling and luxurious. We had a great stay, thank you Tony.

House was very comfortable and well set up with lots of things like gladwrap, oil, spices etc. A nice goody basket was left. Great communication with the owner. Only one little down side cottage has a deep stair that goes into the kitchen from front bedrooms. During the night when going to bathroom it is easy to trip down the stair as you don't see it. So a nightlight there would help. Other than that everything was great.

• Janine (9/5): Relaxing, scenic and a perfect base to explore Daylesford - A great location right on the lake, walk out the gate and you are on the walking track. So nice to sit on the deck or in the lounge room and see the lake and surrounding trees. The cottage is beautifully appointed and decorated and you feel relaxed and at home straight away. The food basket was a nice touch and plenty of comfy blankets and pillows. The bathroom is small and somewhere to put clothes would be good, but not a big issue.

The styling was great too. It was a little dusty. Things like skirting boards and around handles on the door needed a clean but overall it was very nice.
