Guest Reviews
- Zahir (1/5): - Just the location It was very dirty and the owner wasn’t helpful and very rude
- Danny (1/5): - Nothing Double booked
- Shahnagh (7/5): It was a great sized house for our needs. Gave the teens room away from the children. The photo is of what I set up for - The house was a fantastic size. It’s obviously under renovations.
- Kiara (4/5): -
- Justin (10/5): Massive house - good location
- Emily (10/5): - I liked how quiet the area was Giant moths kept getting into the house
- tinanz (1/5): worst ever place we have stayed in - the view. pretty much everything. filthiest place ever. and beds had not been changed nor towels picked up or rubbish taken off kitchen bench. host was contacted but did not reply . How can this possibly be a preferred partner of Booking.com?
- yue (9/5): -
- Tesfaye (10/5): -
- Danielle (10/5): - So much room. We weren't all on top of each other. The lift. Buddy the resident dog! There was a bit still on renovation but didnt bother us.
- Sean (5/5): Passable -
- Travis (1/5): a mess - The house is in poor condition. There are stains all over the floors and a random mix of old, broken furniture. The kitchen drawers are unorganised and dirty. The fridge appears to be around 30 years old, and the freezer is in need of defrosting. Some doors are damaged or seem locked from the inside, while others don’t open properly. Several lights aren’t working, the air conditioning units are non-functional, and many windows lack insect screens. There’s also a pile of old junk and verge collection leftovers stored in the shed. I do not recommend staying here.
- Sarah (7/5): We really enjoyed our stay here. Great value for money. The carpet is very dirty. - Very Large, lots of space, nice view from balcony Dirty and messy in some areas. Some of the doors to the balcony and outside were unusable. No PlayStation like advertised. Lift not working. Very dirty Carpet.
- Izzett (1/5): Bad - Keys were on the kitchen bench. The old dog that visited was well behaved and friendly. The property is misrepresented substantially from the listing on booking.com. Most of the facilities didn't exist or were in disrepair. Stains on the table, washing left out, exits inaccessible. I think the owner, who we didn't see at all, needs to reconsider letting the property out in the state it is in. Alternatively, he needs to substantially revise the listing of the property to what it is; which I'm sure has a target market. The BBQ was a health hazard and inoperable, there is no xbox or playstation, services listed didn't exist, the 'garden view' is of barren wasteland with weeds everywhere, the only music we could get to work was an old tape player, random wires hanging out of walls, fridge barely worked and was in desperate need of defrosting and a clean out. Outdoor furniture was in poor condition and limited. Random collection of building materials and equipment left around the place. Walls and light switches dirty. Beds were a mixed bag but generally comfortable. Exits from the building were in various states of either being unlockable, or jammed shut. I'm not a fancy person and have stayed in very basic places before but this place was next level.
- Genevieve (7/5): Thanks for having us! Would definitely return. The precious dog definitely brightened my stay - A lot of space! Plenty of fun and a quirky property I did need to run around and do a bit of a clean but it didn’t really phase me. It’s the bush 😂
- Tanya (6/5): Was nice after all the travel we were doing. Nice place to relax. The dog buddy was very friendly & liked to take th - Roomy no neighbours so kids could be themselves It was fine no complaints
- Corrine (7/5): Good -
- N/a (7/5): Good -
- Ankit (1/5): Worst experience ever not sure how this property was allowed to be listed on booking.com - Big House Rundown furniture, Not cleaned, Lights not working, No curtains in bathroom, Sofas were not cleaned, Mosquitos everywhere, Insects all around the house. Really really poor condition, Stained carpet, Renovation in progress. Entry from garage door cant be locked, Doors to balcony cant be opened. Bedsheets were not washed looked like someone already slept on the bedsheet. Overall the worst property ever we stayed. This property should not be allowed to be listed on booking.com.
- Sarah (4/5): Disappointing - The space was great. Lots of room for multiple people or families to stay.
The location was good, and peaceful The furniture was disgusting. Extremely filthy to the point we didn't want to sit on the couch. Stains all over the floor . A massive huntsman spider that had to be removed, multiple moths. The place looked like a construction site or unfinished project. Surfaces were not clean. The state of some of the furniture looked like it was from the tip. There was a cord hangingvery unsafelyfrom a wall dangerous to children.
- Kylie (7/5): Not too bad - Lift, location, master bedroom walk in closet and cool bathroom, kitchen was huge Cleaner had just left yet there was about 10 massive dead moth bodies near all windows or doors like big ones and some webs that had been there for the longest time rite near the bar very visible
- Mike (7/5): Quirky property. Well located for coast. Better for larger groups. Embrace the eccentricity. - The quirkiest property that I have ever stayed in. Loads of space, plenty of bedrooms and very well equipped. The door is left open so there is no need for a key. Perfect for fishing trips off the coast. Perfect for a group of friends for a weekend or week away. The property is work in progress. You feel that work was going to continue the next morning to carry on with the project. There were large empty rooms unfinished and doors which didn't close / lock. It was not unpleasant though!
- Alicia (4/5): This place was a mix of outstanding luxury and disrepair. So much potential here. - Beds were comfortable and warm. Bathrooms were stunning with beautiful hot shower. Kitchen well decked out and labelled. Carpet was dirty. Unable to shut freezer door due to frost buildup. Unable to close back door. Handle broken. Dirty linen in laundry. Someone’s clothes in the wardrobe.
- Ka (4/5): It was not a pleasant experience. - The house is spacious. It was not clean, the bed sheets smelt bad. The pots and pans were very old, the coatings were peeling off. A lot of light bulbs were not working. We were only provided 1 single soap bar for 3 bathrooms. One of the bathrooms had a large clear glass window which had absolutely no curtains, we had to stack up mattresses to cover the whole window. The other had no curtains as well.
- Vanessa (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lauren (8/5): A very late and very last minute booking, but cant wait to come and stay again with the whole family -
- Juita (8/5): Very good -
- Gurwinder (8/5): Very good -
- Beverly (8/5): Very good -
- Renae (9/5): Superb - Huge house with everything we needed
Bed was comfy
- Tarik (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (6/5): Spacious and comfortable - The beds were comfortable, the bedrooms and living areas were clean. So much space for a group- awesome for a weekend away. Kitchen was spacious and clean - no dishwasher but maybe in time they’ll get one. Wasn’t a problem for us. A coffee pod machine would take it to the next level. Lovely that there was coffee and tea for us to use. The main issue was the smell in the laundry- maybe cats have been in there? And it smelt mouldy/musty.
- Amber (9/5): Superb - The size of the place is amazing, the escalator was pretty cool, it would be great for a family gathering,
Not too far from the local iga and shops Unfortunately the kitchen had flooded a couple of day's before our arrive, not due to the owners fault, he was lovely and even sent me a message to see if i wanted to cancel, but due to the nature of our trip and no where else to book with the public hoilday we still came to stay and enjoyed the home, thank you Ian
- Avril (10/5): Casual, comfortable, well stocked and owner is a lovely man. - Owner Ian is a lovely man. Nice conversations with him. Helpful and friendly. Buddy his dog is a big softie. Bed very comfortable and shower was powerful. Quiet out of town with little traffic. Lift was amazing for my husband with a disability.
- Kathleen (7/5): Good -
- Yiwei (8/5): Very good - A huge house suitable for group of friends hanging out for vacation. You can definitely get enough space for at least 15ppls. You can see stars clearly from back yard. Hound buddy is your best buddy ever. He is soooo friendly and brings us lots of fun. the place is amazing and unforgettable.
- Helena (9/5): Superb -
- Hsiu (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely owner
Friendly dog “buddy”
Comfortable and big house
Many equipment
- Pesteruwe (10/5): Exceptional - Really spacious. Had a great time there Would be better if it was little cleaner
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anthony (7/5): Was bloody awesome part from the weather for fishing - Needs enclosed play area for kids
green grass
Swings
Slides etc
The kids where stuck in doors cause the outside was not kid friendly
- Yujin (1/5): Bad -
- Armon (8/5): Relaxed, well-located. - Very spacious and open-plan living area. Lots of space for cars, boats and all your gear. A great place to act as a home base to explore the surrounding region. Dated furniture. Parts of the property still under construction. Little impact on stay experience however.
- Vince (1/5): Not suitable for accommodation. - Size and location is good. House not clean, no communication from host on arrival.
Spiders , cobwebs and dust everywhere. Used bars of soap in showers and basins. Floors not vacuumed, filthy windows. Beds only half made. No hand towels or washers. Ovens, fridge and laundry was filthy or not working. Rubbish bins unemptied. Other guests items left behind.
- Austin (8/5): Very good - Huge house, great for family or large groups
- Jeisman (9/5): Superb - Massive spacious house. Fully self contained and a wonderful host.
- Steve (10/5): Very relaxing and enjoyable! - The location was fantastic, just 5 minutes outside of Jurien.
On the balcony you had GORGEOUS ocean and Bush views. Our Host Ian was super friendly and welcoming, he showed us around the whole house.
The kitchen, laundry and bathrooms have been upgraded and are great. 2 bedrooms ( 1 super large bedroom upstairs, and a standard size room downstairs ) both have ensuites. The one upstairs has a large deep bath, also a double shower with love seat. The room joins the balcony for ocean views.
Upstairs also features 2 more bedrooms 1 having a double bed, the other a double bed and bunk bed, there is a bathroom and a toilet. There is also another double bed upstairs.
Down stairs has a standard size bedroom with an ensuite, There is a nook, which has yet another double bed.
Downstairs is has a family room, dining room, kitchen, large walk in pantry, and laundry area which has a toilet and washing machine ( which your allowed to use ) Ducted aircon throughout with a heaps of vents so it gets cool quick.
The undercover area has a large BBQ and darts board.
The Living room has a fold out couch, a large tv which has access to Netflix, we were also given the Wi-Fi code and password.
The kitchen is HUGE and has tonnes of storage, and is fully equipped too. There are 2 large dining tables.
All linen and towels are provided and animals stay free.
The water is from HUGE rain water tanks, so it not only tastes amazing but is super soft on your skin.
But the best part which seperates this house from the rest it has and ELEVATOR.
This property is being renovated, as Ian can.
We cant wait to see it when its completely finished.
The whole place smelt and looked clean.
The kids found the laundry chute and thought it was fantastic they kept chucking their toys down, then running down and starting it over again.
We will be back.
This house is very disable friendly.
Our group was 8 adults and 5 kids.
Thank you for having our family Ian. I'm disappointed we couldn't book longer.
I also dislike I had a large huntsman crawl across me when I was in the elevator, I think he hitched a ride when I opened the curtains. I am terrified of spiders haha
- Minela (10/5): Great spot. Amazing host! - It was excellent. Great spot. Ian is such a lovely man and he was so accommodating to our needs. We really appreciated his help! Highly recommend. The only thing that we didn't like was that we had to leave ..
- Ash (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hayden (10/5): 10/10 house and property, it even has an elevator inside. Host is a legend! - Amazing house, very spacious, great property with ample room for large boats. Awesome views of the beach from the balcony. Ian is an absolute champion! Was able to help us out with tackle, tools and places to fish during our stay, this lodge is great whether you’re into fishing or not!
- Sara (10/5): AMAZING - The house was huge and very clean. Ian is a great and welcoming owner.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb - Great communication with the host. Awesome view and lots of room in the home.

- Nis (9/5): Perfect home away from home for the entire family, including fur babies! - The house was spacious, private and a perfect home away from home. We could even take our dog along with us!! Ian was a lovely host, friendly, kind and so accommodating. Ian’s dog Buddy is also amazing, he is the welcoming committee for all the guests, just a big friendly giant full of energy, Buddy definitely adds value to your stay, haha It was all great

- Sarah (7/5): Good -
- Karliey (8/5): Was the perfect stay (we were actually pretty sad we had to leave and wished we booked longer) - -We liked the fact that the Owner Ian came to greet us- Even though it was Christmas Day! He came to ensure we were happy and had no issues.
- HUGE spacious house! Was perfect with having a family with young children. It was more than big enough for the 4 of us only using 2 out of the 4/5 bedrooms. With both of the rooms used having bathrooms!
- Free WI-FI and access to Netflix which gave us the option to watch Christmas movies as a family!
- spacious kitchen with every utensils, cutlery, plates, bowls, containers, pots and pans you need!
- The property being not central to the town centre but only a few short minutes from town. Was close by a look out and having the peace and quiet of being out a little was amazing.
- lovely renovated bathrooms, kitchen and laundry!
- The beds were surprisingly comfy!!!!!!!!
Will 100% recommend to anyone that is looking for a place to stay whilst in Jurien bay or needing accommodation close by!
Yes it's undergoing renovations (they're looking great by the way) but it's the perfect no fuss place to stay. With great views where you can feel at home.
We'll be back- hopefully sooner rather then later. - a new kettle is needed (didn't turn on at all) but we just boiled a pot of water on the stove for our coffees, so no biggie at all 😉
- Adele (10/5): Exceptional -
- Xiaolan (5/5): Passable - rain water taste so good. House is specials. the bathrooms were renovated recently, clean and modern. the property is still under renovation. The house looks quite messy
