Guest Reviews
- Ben (9/5): - Great location. Very quiet. Close to some wonderful sites to see the stars.
- Judith (4/5): It put a roof over our heads. We won't be back. - Very dirty, not maintained. Filthy oven, BBQ, cooking pan aweful. Lighting was very poor. Had to wipe everything inside down, bath disgusting. No hand towel supplied. On rations for rubbish bags, we used them all. Teatowels so thin and old.
- Hogan (7/5): -
- Peter (8/5): A great comfortable home for three single adults to use as a base for 6 days - A great comfortable home for three single adults to use as a base for 6 days in the area. The WiFi wasn't working initially
- Christine (10/5): We had an enjoyable, relaxing and comfortable stay. - It was a very nice comfortable friendly atmosphere. Our host was excellent. Nothing. It was exactly as advertised.
- Brodie (9/5): Clean, tidy and presented very well - It was presented very nicely
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Ryan (5/5): I’m sorry to say I was disappointed with the overall experience - Needs to be updated ie.
Place needs an internal paint job as it felt dirty and grubby.
The black cat theme is way too over the top
Most of the Furniture is outdated and kitchen area cluttered with junk
Dirty nappie in the bedroom wasn’t pleasant at all
Lots of spider webs and spiders on the ceilings
- Jamie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pam (9/5): Awesome house with lots of space - The shed space undercover outdoor area and laundry facilities. We loved the Retro furnishings Needed another toilet and creaking floor annoying
- Chez56 (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing I love this house because it's so cosy and giving me extra happiness to see the black cats everywhere because I have two cats and miss them so much, almost like being at home. The owner is fantastic. She helped me and will answer my questions if I have any. There is a lot of peace and quiet in this town. The food at the Hotel at Nildotte SA was absolutely delicious.
- Geok (9/5): Superb - Personal preference is a property at the river but this one is quite good given it's next to the vineyards and orchard. It's good that Janet could be contacted easily and she always responded almost immediately. WIFI could be slow and dropped out at times, it might be due the location or service provider. The couches were too soft for middle age / elderly.
- Paula (10/5): peaceful and cozy - so cozy and clean. Comfortable bed
- Jason (10/5): The Black Cat delivered the cream - Charming retro vibe and everything you could need for a weekend away on The Murray. Quiet surrounds live up to the retreat name but value proposition was hard to beat. Host Janet was great to deal with My only concern was no cell service on Vodafone network in area. If you’re on Optus or Telstra you’ve got no worries.
