Guest Reviews
- Stella (6/5): The cottage has a nice ambience, is well located, but needs maintenance. - The location was great for walking into town, going to cafes, looking at bookshops etc (Blarney Books is to be highly recommended) and also for walking to the wharf and Griffith Island. This pretty cottage has a lovely, peaceful garden to sit in. The kitchen is functional, light and bright. The cottage was clean, tidy and well arranged in many ways. Overall, it has lots of character and is enjoyable for a short stay. Ventilation wasn't good, some bedroom windows did not open and air-conditioning was lacking (the night was warm), and there was a streetlight outside the main bedroom which shone onto the bed, despite blinds being rolled down, so sleep was not great. The kitchen might benefit from a dishwasher. Five of us were staying there, but cooking wasn't a delight with the worn-out supply of pots and pans. The door lock was tricky and there was a risky step into the main bedroom. An incidental point here, landlords for long term rentals are now being held to stringent standards, from which short term holiday rentals seem to be exempt.
- Julie (10/5): Very relaxing - The vicinity
The comfortable feeling
It had everything you needed Maybe tank water could be something to look at in the future
- Alison (10/5): Pleasant - Central location Nothing
- Denise (10/5): -
- Heather (9/5): Spacious cottage located close to the town centre. - Clean, tidy, spacious, great location. Tricky to lock entrance door, one pull down switch for light was frayed.
- Stephen (7/5): Good - Nice cottage in good location. Sunny kitchen. Only one bathroom even though advertised as two.
- Siseman (8/5): Very good -
- Wiley (9/5): Superb -
- Joseph (5/5): Annoying had children running around knocking on doors at night. - Good position. Cold house and dangerous step into main bedroom.
- Sean (7/5): Good -
- Michael (8/5): Fine. Might repeat next year - front door lock a biy dickie
