Guest Reviews
- Tania (6/5): -
- Gary (5/5): average. - Fire place If I didnot have pets, I would have been bitterly disappointed. Cleaning was poor, facilities passable. We havent complained because we had our pets but pricing exceeds what is provided. Definitely not value for money.
- Ronald (4/5): Very dappointing. Not worth the $360/nite, would not recommend at this price, seems to be a trend in port fairy over - Not much really. Location just OK, close to East beach, but property in poor condition, nowhere near value for money. OVER rated Poorly maintained, building in poor condition including sloping floors rotting doors, rotting timber, latches /locks inoperable, etc, no internet, not clean, a coat of paint doesn’t equate to cleanliness or regular cleaning and repairs
- Brice (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (1/5): This house is filthy. - There was little to like about this house. It is old, it is cold, dirty and uncomfortable. And once you start to see dirt and grim in every corner, you are instantly put off side. This wasn't a pleasant experience at all. Communication with Sam was minimal. Griffiths Street Beach House was filthy cold and uncomfortable.
There were cobwebs everywhere, with dirt and grime on all surfaces. The oven and exhaust fan cover were covered in grease and cobwebs.
There was a wood burner in the lounge but no wood provided other than kindling with a note on the fridge to buy your own wood. That would be fine but at least advise guests prior to arrival or provide wood, paper, matches and fire lighters for the first night so we could warm the house. The only heater was a radiator which kept turning itself off. We were here in the middle of winter with a sub standard level of heating.
The note on the fridge states fresh water tap on the sink. The ‘fresh’ water from the kitchen tap was full of black grit and undrinkable.
There were long black hair over surfaces in bathroom and a previous tenants toothpaste and beard shavings left in the hand basin.
The venetian blinds right through the house had a thick layer of brown dusty grime covering them.
The covers on the lounge furniture were dirty and stained.
We had to wash the tea towels before using them because they were dirty and stunk and screwed up on the handle of the stove.
There is no phone connectivity in this house.
There is nothing welcoming about this house and a huge disappointment for the first 2 nights of our holiday.
- Ian (7/5): Good - The location and the set up of the house was excellent. Close to the beach and town, all walking distance. The house was dirty, dust everywhere on the blinds and sealing fans, kitchen was half clean, bathroom was ok. The BBQ and outside furniture looked as though it hadn't been cleaned. The beds and towels seemed to be cleaned?? The inside furniture looked liked it hadn't been cleaned in years. If the house was clean this would have been the perfect property to stay at.
- Patricia (10/5): Loved it and have highly recommended it to others already. - Not a huge deal but would have been awesome to have a back patio for a bit of shade.
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie (7/5): Pleasant stay with the dog, close to the beach and cafés - Good location, close to the beach. Fenced backyard for the dog Not very clean - lots of cobwebs, hair balls on the floor, freezer was dirty.
Old bath towels full of fluffs and threads hanging, no hand towel and face washers.
- Sally (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (6/5): Pleasant - location oven didnt work
rusty cheese grater

- John (7/5): Good -
