• Robert (10/5): This property is like traveling to your own second home. - The property is very well located and literally has everything you probably have in your own home or at least everything you generally would need to be comfortable. I didn’t find anything to dislike.

This is the second time I have stayed at the cottage and will still be coming back. Close to shops, restaurants and the wineries. Great stay!

Thankyou for having us. - We were so happy to have a spacious living area with comfortable supportive couches and very comfortable beds. Everything was spotless and had just enough to make the space feel homely. Decor is timeless and tasteful. It was very quiet, we loved sitting on the front veranda having a drink and enjoying the quiet and also having a visit from the chickens. Excellent aircon and very clear instructions and communication with owner. Great value. There was no dishwasher but that wasn’t really an issue as we were so relaxed we didn’t mind doing a few dishes. If there was a coffee machine of some sort and some red wine glasses I would give this place a 10/10.
• Tall Vicki (8/5): A lovely stay in a beautiful setting. - Schofield Cottage is in a lovely location, so peaceful and private. We loved sitting on the verandah, watching the rabbits frolicking and the chickens strutting, trying to get inside! The view and the serenity were just what we needed after a hectic Christmas! There is plenty of space inside and out, and everything is provided that you could possibly need. It felt very homely and is close to the town for supplies. Unfortunately we found the bed to be very firm and extremely uncomfortable. The TV reception isn’t the best.

Highly recommend this property. - The tranquility of watching the parrots, kookaburra, rabbits and chooks in the surroundings. The size of the cottage is roomy, especially for two. It had everything we needed and wanted. Liz is a superb host :) Leaving, as it was perfect for us.

It was exceptionally clean, very well stocked for a family holiday, with all the kitchen and laundry items you would expect. A lot of effort has clearly gone in to making this a very comfortable holiday house. There was plenty of space and the garden is a lovely outlook and space for kids to have a run around. Nothing at all.

• Geoffrey (8/5): Great little cottage. Healesville is a great location for a quick getaway from the big smoke. - The cottage was modern and spotless. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of bench space, oven. pod coffee machine. Good bathroom with excellent shower and separate drying room. Large dining table with six chairs. Excellent wi-fi and large screen smart TV. Small outside deck, great for breakfast (watch out for the thieving magpies). In addition to reverse cycle air con, it has an old-fashioned gas heater which made it really cosy. Comfy bed with electric blanket. A very quiet location. I found the couch a bit too firm, my wife thought it was OK.

• Carmel (9/5): We took our grandchildren away for a few days and we all loved our stay here. After a day of exploring it was lovely to - Schofield Cottage was very comfortable, warm and clean. It had everything we needed. It was close to the township and the Sanctuary.

Well catered for families with young children. The books, toys and games provided were very much appreciated to keep the kids entertained. Very clean and tidy accommodation. • Jennifer (9/5): If you are looking for a home away from home in Healesville, look no further. - Schofield Cottage was every bit as cosy, comfortable, spacious and well-appointed as my friends and I could have hoped. Located in a very quiet yet centrally located part of Healesville, it was both a great base from which to explore the Yarra Valley and its wineries as well as a warm and welcoming sanctuary to return to after our adventures.

• Glenda (10/5): Schofield Cottage provides a dream holiday in lovely Healesville - Everything!! Schofield Cottage had everything to create a cosy & comfortable stay. The decor was stylish, beds were extremely comfortable with quality linen (hosts even put on electric blankets for us). The kitchen and bathroom were top quality. We had a lovely view of the mountains and we looked over lovely gardens. Front stairs were a little difficult for us as we were 2 older ladies.

• Quietta (9/5): Lovely home for a family holiday. - I LOVED the skylight above the shower! So nice to have natural light in the bathroom. I loved the large grassed area and trees to be able to relax under and the chickens roaming around in the afternoon. We liked the games available and the kids made good use of them. We were very thankful for the air conditioning and fans as it was very hot during our stay. The kitchen had ample space and utensils and the beds and pillows were comfy. A great place to stay. Highly recommend. I would have appreciated a lock on the toilet door, as well as the current lock on the bathroom door.

• Geraldine (9/5): Superb - It is a cozy, spacious clean cottage, suitable for a small family to stay in. Liz provided everything so it is self-sufficient. You are able to see wild rabbits in the evenings. Nothing. But the chickens are overzealous for my liking. They will scramble towards you the moment you open the door. Others might not mind though.

This space has all you need and feels like home! Host even prepared toys and a small play area for the kids. Very thoughtful! Host respects privacy and does not intrude. Nothing!

There were so many heating options, so if you visited in the middle of winter you would never be cold. There was nothing I didn’t like. Maybe the outdoor sitting could be given a wipe before visitors arrived as they were a bit dusty. But this is so minor.

It is located in a tranquil setting yet still close to the town centre. It is spacious yet cosy. Wish we could have stayed longer.

When booking a holiday flat/apartment we need to have accessibility information before we lock in dates and pay for the accommodation. No accessibility information was provided to us. We need information about steps/stairs, car parking details including distance from accommodation and level of difficulty (eg slope of pathway) when entering the property. We need a phone number to ring to get additional accessibility information. At times we do not make a booking because we do not have sufficient information about accessibility.

• Chloe (8/5): Very good - The house was warm and cosy on a cold weekend. It was very clean and easy to access. A great place to stay for the weekend. The house was wonderful but it was a little farther from town than anticipated. Totally fine with a car, but I wouldn't want to be walking home on a wet evening.

They had such a good time with the chickens. Thank you for the food. Bed in front room not that comfy. very firm. No locks on inside on front windows. (Safety for kids) WiFi was utterly slow and poor reception.

It was clean and comfortable and was a home away from home. We appreciated finding oil for cooking, tea bags and a coffee machine. There was nothing we didn't like.

Healesville Schofield Cottage is - Lovely quiet location behind the main house, but only a few minutes drive into Healesville with all its shops and restaurants. The cottage is very comfortable and spacious with everything you could possibly need provided. I especially appreciated having a laundry room with washing machine and dryer, and enough space for an indoor drying area. There is an enclosed garden at the rear of the property, with garden furniture,and outdoor cooking facility. Since the temperatures were around 38C during our stay, we especially appreciated the 2 covered parking spaces immediately adjacent to the cottage. I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough! Nothing…it was perfect

• Glennys (9/5): Comfortable stay, beautiful area and welcoming host (Liz) - thank you! - The property was a home away from home for us with everything we needed for a comfortable and private 6 night stay. The cottage is located at the rear of an ex-guest house, now home to the welcoming owner (whom we met) and family. Easy 15 or so minutes walk into Healesville and 20 minutes’ drive from family in the Yarra Valley. Meal at ‘Innocent Bystander’ and visit to Four Pillars Distillery a must! If we had a minor complaint, it is the king bed mattress, which could use a little plumping with a thick mattress topper.

Great communication with Liz. Safe parking. Great base for Rochford concert, many wineries, Healesville township. So many things just a five to ten min drive but not quite walking distance. All very lovely.

We loved the peaceful outlook and the extensive garden area, complete with friendly chooks. A 15 minute walk down the hill to the main shops. A perfect base from which to explore Healesville and the region. Easy check-in arrangements, great communication from host.

The view is lovely across the grounds and out to the mountains. It is in a good location, with Healesville township, Healesville wildlife Park and wineries all quite close to the cottage. Nothing.

Has a great bathroom and kitchen and the beds were really comfortable. There was plenty of information about things to do and see in the area. Everything was great, nothing to report that was negative.

Very comfortable, clean and well appointed. Great communication with host. The kids really enjoyed watching the chooks roaming the large yard. Close to many cafes, shops and playground. Would highly recommend. Internet was a bit patchy. Wish there was a dishwasher.

The property was clean and well maintained. All the basics were included, even a washing machine and clothes airer. Kitchen and bathroom were clean and modern. Spacious comfortable lounge room with DVD's, cd's and board games supplied. Lots of places to explore nearby. Clear communication from the owner
