- Chevaun (10/5): Lovely spot - Beautiful conversion of church- comfortable with everything we needed The tea bags! Please get decent tea bags - in particular please replace the Lipton yellow label (worst tea bags ever for a tea lover) with some decent English breakfast. Thanks !
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denise (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (9/5): Very comfortable stay - The church has been beautifully renovated and had everything you would want/need for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
The beds were great.
The main bedroom dark and air-conditioned.
The location is very quiet and central to the surrounding areas. Unfortunately our son found it almost impossible to sleep with the second bedroom being so light due to there being no window covering on the many windows.
- Georgia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michiel (10/5): What an amazing stay in a beautifull place - What a fantastic space has been created in this old church!
It was also very nice and quiet there, great to grab some rest.
Facilties were very perfect.
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Carla (10/5): Very unique and beautiful - Beautiful property, we absolutely loved our stay and can not wait to come back! The property has everything you need for a weekend escape. Nothing
- Chris (10/5): 'Heavenly'. Amazing accommodation with everything you need and more! Super comfy bed! - Kylie was super helpful and quick to respond for access (as I could not locate email from Booking.com with details). I struggled to get the numbers to align properly to open the key lock box.
- Tania (10/5): Perfect location for getaway with friends we all loved it - The house was modern, clean, warm and had everything you could ever need I personally would not want to supervise toddlers and young children due to the stairs, I don’t think I could relax
- Sharon (10/5): 2nd time we have stayed here. Wonderful - Fantatstic - 10 out of 10 stars - Everything. Kylie had the heater on before we got there, so it was lovely and warm on arrival. nothing !
- Clint (9/5): Lovely authentic church conversion with beautiful natural lighting and well equipped facilities. - All the little extras provided by the host - quality towels & linen, toiletries and particularly the tea/ coffee, condiments etc. It had a very well appointed and equipped kitchen too. The king bed was a little firm and my daughters thought their room was a bit bright at night time for sleeping. However, I just think it is par for the course and I wouldn't like to see the original windows covered up. One review actually mentioned bringing an eye mask if you were light sensitive at night.
- Brenda (9/5): Superb - Beautifully renovated and decorated. Very roomy and comfortable- unique stay.
- Sharon (10/5): Fantastic! Wonderful! Best B&B - Fantastic ! Wonderful ! The church is located in a quiet area - no road noise. Large beautiful kitchen had everything - chopping boards, frypans, saucepans looked new, plenty of utensils, full size fridge, plenty of different coffee pods, large oven, plenty of bench space. Large bathroom with big shower, lots of good pressure hot water, great towels. Bedroom was very spacious with plenty of storage area. Stairs to mezzanine floor were well spaced & wide - easy to use. Living / dining had full sized dining table for 6 and 2 very comfy couches & a desk for computer use. Extras like the adult coloring books with pens & pencils, the basket full of throw blankets and the free swap of reading books was a lovely thought. Sometimes the lighting at these conversions can be a bit ordinary - not the case here. The lighting in all areas was really good including double light switches at the top & bottom of the stairs. Best B&B we have stayed at. Thanks Kylie. Even though there was Wi Fi, couldn't get the TV to log onto any APPs so that we could watch Netflix, Prime etc. (We had our own logins for the APPS.)
Not really a dislike, just a ' would be nice'. As Ballarat gets so cold and with the ambiance of the church, a coonara fire would be have just topped it off and made the whole place perfect,
- Cherie (10/5): Amazing! - Everything, it was perfect!
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place. We hope to come back next year.
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - clean, great communication. maybe a little bit further from central Ballarat than I realised.
- Karen (10/5): Thank you for providing this unique and beautiful accomodation. - A unique and beautiful place to stay. n/a
- Helen (10/5): It was heavenly - location is a short drive from Ballarat and an easy walk to the supermarket. The little Easter decoration and bowl of Easter eggs were very welcome! It was all perfect
- Glenda (8/5): Fabulous place to stay. - The conversion was very cleverly done. The beds were comfortable, very quiet area. The bathroom was lovely, but as there were three of us staying we all agreed it really needed a seperate toilet. A minor issue only.
- Robert (9/5): I'm converted - Complimentary breakfast packets of cereal were available. We provided our own milk and fruit from local IGA supermarket which was only a few minutes away. While next door to the local Fire Station and suburban homes, it was quiet.
Whoever was responsible for converting the former Church into a smart B&B should be congratulated. Possibly the best conversion since that of St Paul of Damascus! Good to have access to the Heritage Report which was in the B & B's library. Very little. A downstairs WC would have been convenient.
- Emma (9/5): Beautiful building and surroundings. - beautifully presented and updated church, and love the history provided of the building. Walking distance to the local tavern and IGA. Lots of great amenities included; coffee machine, desk, books, activities, games, sandwich press, etc.
Clear and easy communication and access. If anything (and there isn’t much!) the shower does not have a lot of pressure.
- Emma (10/5): Perfect weekend getaway - I thought the photos/info upon booking was inticing, but walking through the doors of the church, I was honestly so impressed! The church was extremely clean, and the interior design was beautifully done throughout. SO much is provided for your stay in the kitchen & bathroom areas including those little things you may forget/not want to lug around with you like brekky items, cotton tips and, a full sized hair dryer! (not one of those little ones you'd get in a hotel). The beds were super comfy, and there is lots of space to place your belongings. As avid readers, my toddler and I loved the areas with books and can't wait to stay again to swap out some - what a fantastic idea!! Kylie provided clear and concise communication from the moment we booked, and instructions for check-in were very easy to follow. Had such a great little weekend, thank you. We will be back! :) The only thing I could 'fault' is the pressure of the shower. However, it isn't something that would prevent me from coming back or reducing my rating. The shower itself is huge, and the dual shower heads are a bonus and handy when trying to quickly shower my little one!
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Wani (10/5): Exceptional - Everything but the shower needs attention The pressure in shower
- John (10/5): perfect property for a couple who want to explore the region and do some in house meals as well as eating out. - Extremely comfortable bed, amazing kitchen, spacious house, excellent coffee machine & pods, lovely living area and overall really great facilities. Just a 10 minute drive to Ballarat Central with all it has to offer. Handy IGA supermarket nearby. Minor issue only - water pressure in shower not great but not a big deal.
- Liz (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Judy (9/5): A lovely experience that had the comfort of home. - Lovely renovation that made the church comfy and user friendly.
The fit out and amenities were high quality and appreciated. An ironing board and bedside tables in the master bedroom bedroom would have been useful.
- Helen (7/5): Good -
- Dana (10/5): Unique, spacious and modern. - Close to a park and pump track, accommodation was luxurious! Nothing! Although a couple more bath towel hooks would be great.
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic house - beautiful aesthetic given converted church. Convenient location to both Ballarat and Creswick via car.
- Leanne (8/5): Very good -
- Hayes (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): A great place to stay, lovely accommodation and a great location. - Many things, facilities, cleanliness, location. It was as shown. nothing
